I remember my dog... everytime im having a breakdown or a heartache and i'll just burst into tears, he'll suddenly kneed on my lap and bark at me, he's like telling: "stop, I hate to see your heartbreak." He died last week due to alot of complications. But it never stopped him from being there to love us and have fun.
can't tell you how many times this song has saved me. I've pulled over while driving and just cried to this so many times because life can be so freaking hard. depression and anxiety kick my ass all the time and honestly there have been many times where I wanted to end it all and instead I would listen to this. this song makes me feel like someone knows what's going through my head and that im no longer alone.

I don't understand why younger people are surprised when we (dads :) like songs like this. Being older doesn't mean we are clueless about the music, quite the opposite. :) It is not like we hate everything of nowadays by default, It just has to be this good to move us. Balads? I have loved them since Everly brothers or The Beatles. Harmonies? Add Beach boys, Mamas and the papas, Byrds, Eagles.... Lyrics? I don't even know where to start. Dylan maybe...It goes on and on. And the list is quite long and distinguished before we get to Paramore and Joy. Peace.
I think it's because of where Paramore started off as honestly try hard, commercialized punk / emo where everything was overly simplistic and " I'm edgy. " and very " one note " So they keep that " Emo band " start in their mind and remember that time period and having a dad for example be into their " emo band " ( even if they are past that era for some years now ) is surprising and a little odd because they have a way of looking at it than just a rock band. The back of their mind still sees them as " That band who was born from the emo phase. " Like if you were into another band, let's just say Florence + the Machine.You can't pigeon hole them in a box. No one sounds like them, they blend genres and are really versatile and artsy. They were doing things other people weren't. ( Other people in say Indie might do things that compliment their sound but, can't replicate it. ) So there is no " This is a ____ band for / targeted at ____ people. " ( Especially given they're inspired and make nods to Fleetwood Mac, Patti Smith, Kate Bush but still bring a lot of fresh youth and new take to classic art-rock. )
Fun Fact!! Most "Dad's" grew up with Paramore just like everyone else. I graduated high school the year before they formed as a band in 2004 & Hayley was about 16 years old then. Now I'm Dad age. SSOOOO take a step back and keep it in perspective everyone.
Guys, before you start bullshitting, you should get informed. Hayley is a big friend and fan of Joy, and, for the Deluxe version she decided WITH THE REST OF THE BAND that she would re record the vocals with Joy and put it into the Deluxe Edition of the album. Paramore is still a band, this is their first collab and it's awesome, I don't get why people give hate to this, this is a band trying to do their best for their fans, they make what they want, in the genre they want with who they want. EDIT: Some people said Taylor was the one inviting her, and yeah that's true, but Hayley already said she is real good friends with her! :P
Teaching my 16 year old daughter to drive, she put her playlist on ,we had to do 100 hours of driving. My dog was very sick and having no life quality, so we had to take him to the vet be put down. The vet told me to put a song while they were doing it, so my dog would feel more at home... This was the song i chose. Years passed and i still can't listen to this song without crying!

Our sophomore year of high school she dated a guy who said and did so many terrible things to her that she went from being someone who loved life and was super confident and happy to someone who was suicidal and thought she was worthless. Being a decade old fan from 2004, growing up, listening to Paramore had a great influence on my life. I had always tried spreading their musical talents to others but they had always given a deaf ear. Im glad to see people have know recognized them as being one of the top Musical artists.

usually when you audition for a musical, they prefer that you audition with a piece from a different musical and not a pop song. I've tried auditioning with pop omg a couple of times and I didn't get the part. but when I auditioned with a piece from Wicked, I did get the part. so that's just my opinion. but if you find it can work the other way around good for you! I'm sure you did great nonetheless!
I am so proud of Paramore and all of the things that they have accomplished. Paramore's music is beautiful and I love them. This version of Hate to See Your Heart Break ft. Joy Williams is a beautiful addition to Paramore. I love the rawness and heartfelt sound of this one, you can feel the emotion and the nostalgia that this song has. Anyone miss 2009 Paramore? :( Not that I don't like this because I do, and I'm a huge supporter of everything they do. But I miss the old punk/rock edginess that they used to have. Also kinda miss the Farro brothers. It was possibly them leaving that changed the bands style I would infer.
Actually I was never into old Paramore. By the time they came into the scene I was already over the type of pop-punk they were doing. It was way too clean and polished for my taste. I think they work way better as a full on pop-rock band, and I actually really like all the experimentation on the new album. Also, for an overall lighter album, the production on this is way more raw than their previous work,which is pretty interesting. What I'm trying to say is that, despite their sound being a bit lighter, I think they actually sound edgier now. But yea, I probably the only one with this opinion haha.

I don't understand why younger people are surprised when we (dads :) like songs like this. Being older doesn't mean we are clueless about the music, quite the opposite. :) It is not like we hate everything of nowadays by default, It just has to be this good to move us. Balads? I have loved them since Everly brothers or The Beatles. Harmonies? Add Beach boys, Mamas and the papas, Byrds, Eagles.... Lyrics? I don't even know where to start. Dylan maybe...It goes on and on. And the list is quite long and distinguished before we get to Paramore and Joy. Peace.

I think it's because of where Paramore started off as honestly try hard, commercialized punk / emo where everything was overly simplistic and " I'm edgy. " and very " one note "
So they keep that " Emo band " start in their mind and remember that time period and having a dad for example be into their " emo band " ( even if they are past that era for some years now ) is surprising and a little odd because they have a way of looking at it than just a rock band. The back of their mind still sees them as " That band who was born from the emo phase. "
Like if you were into another band, let's just say Florence + the Machine.You can't pigeon hole them in a box. No one sounds like them, they blend genres and are really versatile and artsy. They were doing things other people weren't. ( Other people in say Indie might do things that compliment their sound but, can't replicate it. ) So there is no " This is a ____ band for / targeted at ____ people. " ( Especially given they're inspired and make nods to Fleetwood Mac, Patti Smith, Kate Bush but still bring a lot of fresh youth and new take to classic art-rock. )

Guys, before you start bullshitting, you should get informed. Hayley is a big friend and fan of Joy, and, for the Deluxe version she decided WITH THE REST OF THE BAND that she would re record the vocals with Joy and put it into the Deluxe Edition of the album. Paramore is still a band, this is their first collab and it's awesome, I don't get why people give hate to this, this is a band trying to do their best for their fans, they make what they want, in the genre they want with who they want.

I heard this song so many times over that time, I'm so glad she introduced me to so many other band's I didn't know . I'm middle aged typical rock lover but she made me listen to Paramore ,Lord Huron etc and I loved them

This song always reminds me of my best friend. Our sophomore year of high school she dated a guy who said and did so many terrible things to her that she went from being someone who loved life and was super confident and happy to someone who was suicidal and thought she was worthless. It killed me to see how much this guy had broke her. Every time she cried, I cried with her. It broke my heart that I couldn't take the pain away from her. This song explains exactly how I felt during that time.

Being a decade old fan from 2004, growing up, listening to Paramore had a great influence on my life. I had always tried spreading their musical talents to others but they had always given a deaf ear. Im glad to see people have know recognized them as being one of the top Musical artists.

usually when you audition for a musical, they prefer that you audition with a piece from a different musical and not a pop song. I've tried auditioning with pop omg a couple of times and I didn't get the part. but when I auditioned with a piece from Wicked, I did get the part. so that's just my opinion. but if you find it can work the other way around good for you! I'm sure you did great nonetheless!

I am so proud of Paramore and all of the things that they have accomplished. Paramore's music is beautiful and I love them. This version of Hate to See Your Heart Break ft. Joy Williams is a beautiful addition to Paramore. I love the rawness and heartfelt sound of this one, you can feel the emotion and the nostalgia that this song has. Hayley and the band have come a long way and they will continue to go far. I'm So honored to call myself a Paramore fan, I've been one since I was around 6 and I'll continue to be. ❤

Anyone miss 2009 Paramore? :( Not that I don't like this because I do, and I'm a huge supporter of everything they do. But I miss the old punk/rock edginess that they used to have. Also kinda miss the Farro brothers. It was possibly them leaving that changed the bands style I would infer.

Actually I was never into old Paramore. By the time they came into the scene I was already over the type of pop-punk they were doing. It was way too clean and polished for my taste. I think they work way better as a full on pop-rock band, and I actually really like all the experimentation on the new album. Also, for an overall lighter album, the production on this is way more raw than their previous work,which is pretty interesting. What I'm trying to say is that, despite their sound being a bit lighter, I think they actually sound edgier now. But yea, I probably the only one with this opinion haha.
