This song is a pure masterpiece, from first note to last. Glad you liked it!
My favorite band of all time. I must have seen them in concert at least 30 times. Dicky Betts is a great guitarist. This is an era (70s) when the bands would jam for 20 minutes on one song. And my friends and I would sleep overnight on the line to get into Madison Square Garden in NY. Great days and nights!
Gregg was only a kid when he wrote and sang this. Barely 20! You’re gonna freak over their live performance of One Way Out!
Lord have mercy indeed. On all of us. God bless!
Waaaahhhh...knew you'd like this one too
"She's a low down dirty heffer"!!! 🤣🤣🤣 this is exactly why I love your channel!💞✌️
Midnight Rider is also another great Allman Brothers song!!
This song has a vibe! You can’t help but get up and move!
Legendary. 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸 🎸 💃💃💃💃💃💃🔥🔥🔥🥰
Nothing like 70s southern rock! Another group I think you would like is Marshall Tucker Band’s song “Can’t you see”
stormy monday is a must to hear
Waaaaaaaaaaah! My dude!! I can come get down with some Allman Brothers and then switch over and listen to the OG Brodnax with you! I love it!!
Awesome!!!
One Way Out. Stormy Monday. Thanks!!
Hey Skeez, have you checked out Soulshine or Not My Cross to Bear? Both are so so good.
Definitely soulshine
I looked to see if I missed an earlier reaction to The Allman Brothers, and can't find one. I did catch one of Lynyrd Skynyrd (not the same band by any means). Lynyrd Skynyrd started in 1964, but under another name, gained fame in early 70's as Lynyrd Skynyrd. The Allman Brothers started in 1969. Gregg Allman (singing and keyboards), younger brother of Duane (guitar), was 19 when they started. Both groups did, however, get started in Jacksonville, FL.
Top Tier all-time cornerstone of R&R just like Freebird or Stairway to Heaven. Stoked you're right on top of these fire songs Sceez! I'm going to throw out some hard 70's ROCK and guitar god status song. Another "must reaction song" Ted Nugent Stranglehold
See, now that you've taken up the noble and revered art of air guitar, be assured there are many, many, many songs to shred to, and The Allman Brothers are one of the best. Statesboro Blues would be a good choice. You can learn some good ole slide guitar.
They were so good. Check out "in memory of Elizabeth Reed", Jesica and ramblin man
🔥❤✌ #sceezsquad
Sceez, man, I think you would like their tune "Dreams".
60s and 70s rock for you best
Made In The Shade give this a try
🖒😎
Sir..the fuckin 60's music is UNBEATABLE....
Sceez, I think you're finally ready for Motorhead haha
Nobody is ever ready for Motörhead lol
And maybe Iron Maiden, Hallowed be thy Name
IDK? The Allman Brothers are a blues, jazz fusion jam band totally different genre than metal. No disrespect , Motörhead and Maiden are phenomenal but so so so different.
@@kikivon3501 I meant that he is getting more and more into guitar solos and one thing they have is quick, short ones that are like riding a rollercoaster haha
must be talking about Cher
I like this song without the words. Historically the whipping post was mostly used on slaves. He has no idea what it's like being tied to a " whipping post," and if he is staying ( not him personally) but being whipped, then get out, hello.
Lighten up Francis
You just had to take a good song and put a negative racial spin on it..Our lord Jesus was also tied to a whipping post..it was a form of discipline for all..why say something so negative to someone who was feeling so much joy over this song...like someone wrote below ....lighten up
@@starfire6122
Because it's true.
@@starfire6122
And definitely don't compare your whipping to Christ.
@@genov9374
Heck no. Sorry white folk can't speak to me on whipping.
You think that was good? Listen to the Frank Zappa cover th-cam.com/video/Mu32TgPeXM8/w-d-xo.html
