Great Video, seen your Videos before. Very easy to follow your instructions and explanations how to do it. Accolades for you Expertise in these situations. Thank You. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much Master🙏🙏🙏I have been studying electricity for 3 months!!!! But let me tell you something!!!You are a good instructor 🙏🙏God bless you
That's a great video. I've been fixing electrical installations for years, and have never seen some of the equipment you used. Pushing wires around and twisting wire nuts, I have caused some damage to my thumbs, wish I had known about the Voltclaw sooner. I've never heard of a Level Plate before either, but I have been using caterpillars ... they work well.
Hi! Love your videos. I have a situation not covered here. I have 2 light switches in a box and they are not horizontally aligned, so when I put the switch cover on (with 2 switch openings) I can only install the screws on one of the sides. I haven't seen anywhere a discussion of how to adjust the vertical direction of boxes so that two side by side boxes line up and you can use a double switch plate cover. Can you help? Thanks!
Do crooked cfgi pose any danger? Its in a bedroom that i switched out a two prung outlet and it fits tight but theres room. You can easily see the crookedness
shouldn't we be clipping the top and bottom metal endings with round "ears" leaving only central attach points, when it goes into a box? those are the ones that stick out.
This is exactly what I needed. I just bought a new home that was built by idiot clowns and everything electrical so far is backwards or wrong or not working. Gotta love it. 🙄
ok, but how do you fix it when the junction box is installed crooked? My switch cover it tilting a few degrees. Looks ghetto as fuck. Not only do every single light switch cover is off, even the damn AC vent is crooked. American ingenuity at best!
Have you checked to make sure the floor is level? Is one of your legs shorter? Have you consider prying out the existing box and installing an old work box?

I learned so much from this video. Very comprehensive.

Thank you! I had that box with the screws that was crooked. Brilliant fix. I will try it. Subbed.
Thanks for posting the fixes. I like the metal plate but it is for single gang only. Is there a dual gang version?
Thank you! You can use two singles for a double gang just put them side by side and will even work for a triple gang 👍🏽😊

Thanks so much for this video! Now I know how to fix with a sloppy contractor did.
Moving the wires around did the trick. Easier than I thought it would be. TU
Thank you its been driving me crazy why they were slightly turning

It's not necessary unless you're using an old work box or mounting to a 4x4 metal box cover.
The builder of my house used 10 gauge wire for all the outlets and I am literally dying.
10 gauge? Omg how does that even work
@@carolinekinikini5448 by pissing me all the way off. it's so stiff and of course won't fit into the quick connects
@@entropy11 😂😂😂 that’s so crazy, I seen 12 gauge before but never 10 lol
Do you literally strip every screw?
What if the J-box is against a masonry wall?
Great tips! Thanks!

I have an outlet box that is so crooked that I cannot fit a cover plate over it. What do I do?
Remove the existing box and install an old work box?

@@georgebush6002 ? You mean why not use a level to see if the switch cover is level? Idiot.
