Anne of Green Gables can work for any season really because so much time passes in the story and all seasons are represented. Also while it is a classic it's a children's classic so it really doesn't have that long almost boring feeling that other classics give off. It's emotional but it's a sweet, gentle story as well. Half a Soul is super cute too. Highly recommend. You've read all of Mistborn as well as several standalones. You have every right to call yourself a massive Brandon Sanderson fan. Congrats on having your art in a published book. That's so cool. What are those books with the dragon's eye on the covers? They look awesome!
You’ve done so well getting your physical TBR down. After a quick count, mine stands at 118 😱 It’s all those second hand books I’ve been buying this year
I just think of it as an incredible pile of possibilities, rather than stressing out over how many books I haven’t read. In regard to Tales of the Shadowmarket - I think it is the best of the co-written collections of stories. Of course, I am a huge fan of Jem Carstairs and he provides the connective thread through the stories. You also get some really interesting back stories for some other characters that have appeared in the series. I hope you enjoy these stories if you have a chance to read it.
That is such a great way to look at it! ❤️ I've been seeing a lot of other people share that opinion about Tales of the Shadowmarket, so I'm inclined to actually read it now haha
Anne of green gables is one of my favorite classics and an easy read. Oh I also loved the Shadow of the Fox series. It’s like an anime in book form 😆 The ending of the series is perfection!!!
Omg the spellshop was my favorite and I love the purple sprayed edges ❤❤❤❤ nice tbr cass I had to stop tbrs to many slumps so now I have a mood tbr instead 😊😊😊 thank you for sharing
girl you're doing fine 😌my physical TBR stands at 69, and has basically doubled over the past year because I finally got a kindle, and then just forgot about my home library lol. I'd love to see if there's still any books you've got on your TBR now that you had before vs how many of the unread ones are new 👀
I have 69 books on my physical tbr and have been slowly reading through them throughout the year. I think the Shadowhunter series is the slowest series I have been reading for a good amount of years just because they are some long books but I am finally on The Dark Artificies trilogy and hoping to read The Last Hours with The Dark Artificies because I wasn't the biggest fan of Lady Midnight. Happy reading!!
I have 246 physical books I haven't read. BUT in my defence, some I read the ebook or listened to the audiobook, loved it and bought a physical copy to annotate. And also, I've been rebuilding my shelves after being in a huge reading slump for almost 3 years. I stand by these statements😂
You DEFINITELY need to pick up "Shadow of the Fox." I read the entire trilogy this year, and I absolutely LOVED it. If you're an anime/manga fan, I guarantee it'll at least be a fun read, because some of the happenings are seen in so many different anime series. Also, to make you feel better: I have exactly 70 books on my physical TBR, 72 if you include the Kindle editions I bought. And this is AFTER I read 16 books in October. ....Yeah, I'm having a "No Buy November" because this is ridiculous.
It's okay, cass, we all have our piles of shame (me included with like 50? Books? Last time I counted them at least haha :")) so as I always say: buying books and reading them are 2 different hobbies
Quick recount after some more books i bought arrived, i have 96 books on my physical TBR LMAO and i had juuust got it down to the 80s but alas. Maybe a few of us with big physical TBRs should consider a book buying limit/ban
if it helps i have about 106 on my physical tbr 😅 which includes books i have multiple copies for but still have not yet read- (in my defense I haven't had time to read due to uni)
This and all the comments have made me feel better about only having 30 or so books on my physical tbr. I keep borrowing from the library instead of reading them. LOL
I recently read "ready player two" and honestly, you can just unhaul it in my opinion. it wasn't as fun as the first one and a lot of time when they went on a quest, they already had everything ready to go
Hey Cassandra! My name is C V Jacques and I am a Indie self published author.I have a Coming of Age series called “Crime & Disipline”.Also if you love Gilmore Girls it has thoughs vibes

thank you for validating my brando sando obsession 😭🫶 The books with the dragon eyes are the German copies of Fourth Wing & Iron Flame!
Honestly, the amount of books and series you have completed is WAYYYY more impressive to me than your undread stacks!! 🤩
Awe thanks!! 🖤
The ghosts of the shadow markets is sooo good! The best story collection imo it mainly focuses on Jem carstairs!
we love Jem in this household

Yes! So many possibilities.
I loved the spellshop😭😭
girl it was so CUTE!!
Ok but you need to read Anne! It’s such an easy classic to read!!!
I didn't realize it was an easier classic, that does make me feel a little less intimidated by it!

Oh I had no idea Shadow of the Fox was a series! Anime in book form low-key sounds perfect 👀
Wait physical TBR numbers can go DOWN?? Legend.

i ended up really enjoying spellshop, I gave it a 4.25!!
Personally I love the Skyhunter duology. It’s firmly YA but I just adore Marie Lu’s writing and I really liked the world
oh good to hear! I literally haven't heard a single thing about that duology, so I'm glad I finally have someone opinion on it lol 🫶

"it could have been worse" famous last words
did a quick count and I have 115 unread books on my shelves

I really enjoyed Skyhunter by Marie Lu. The 2nd one is not available in german yet but I pre ordered it as soon as I could 😁
I need to get to those!!
I love Spellshop. its a great cozy fantasy. If my next cozy fantasy does not match up it is getting trashed.
