All electric M cars are going to dominate. The Beast is said to be around 1500hp with an all wheel drive drivetrain. Not sure which tires are out there to cope with that kind of power
"Always take the next step" when you're literally forced by the government 😂 The title should be " we were forced to electrify and now we have to catch up to Tesla "
Interesting history. I like the shaping of the red car that the video said was the first mid engine M car. It has what I'd say is a 80's Ferrari style look. You may not like it, but today's generation of BMW cars don't stand out from a lot of the other cars on the market. Many just look like bubbles with a small amount of contouring. If someone were to make an electric car that looks like a sports car (or super car) and also make it affordable (unlike the rip off Dodge Electric Charger, unlike the Tesla Roadster, unlike the Lotus electric car) it could be something special, hugely successful, and change from the ugly car road that the industry is driving down.
Well, they will go out of business if they don't. Outside US, all the german automakers are in huge trouble. They losing their Chinese market to BYD. EU regulations isn't helping either with the exhaust restrictions and stuff.

Stop comparing with your motorsport heritage. This has nothing to do with anything you did before. We know you have to go there because western politics say so. Call it "i" or whatever, but god damn, do not shove it down peoples throats like this is the big hype. No engine, no M.
I'm still struggling to accept electric as the future... I drive an M440i coupé and the raw power of the ICE engine and the sound of the car is what gives me goosebumps every day.. Hard to imagine that with electric. I'm an electrical engineer by the way!
Don’t make that shaver, electric cars make planet worse, make that 2026 bmw M3 patrol
Is that electric F87?
Internal combustion engine is the heart ❤ of any car … so there‘s nothing else to say.
yes fr. Are they going to make every m car fully electric?
An electrified M car needs 3x main ingredients 1. Needs to be fun (Most electric cars are mind numbingly boring to drive) 2. light weight (Sub 2000kg) 3. Innovation ( Maybe solid state batteries) I am currently on my 3rd M car (G87 m2) and a 4th depends on BMW :)
Another big problem with EV's is the depreciation. Ive heard Taycans are great to drive but the depreciation has been massive. None of us are rich enough not to care about resale value.
i4 m50 owner, looking forward to this electric beast. maybe i can afford it when it comes out!
BMW making electric cars is comparable to Jaguar going woke. They don't understand their audience. Not keyboard warriors but actual customers.
The board members never been in a Tesla Plaid?
i love my i5m60. Subscription added. I also like that you take us with you on this journey.
+@MartinM87 We love that you love you i5 M60 😎
"Take out the weight, as much as possible, and push the engine power to as far as possible". Sir, this is no longer applicable to BMW in 2024. Power yes, weight no!! come on man
I see Playstation buttons on landscape why?
To understand what MPower means you have to try it,good job bmw
You all saw what happened with Mercedes and their electric “sports cars”. Why follow in their footsteps when everyone loves the G series and its doing so well in sales?
Because the epa is changing in Europe 😂😂
If BMW calls it a beast, you can be sure it is tricky to tame ;)
I‘m very excited to see where the trip is heading to!
Nothing will be like the good old cars anymore, so it’s pointless to try and just logic to go for the next big thing.
+@meetteel6811 This is only the start, we've got great things coming ⚡
Wenn die volle Elektro-Power in den eher kleinen F87 rein passt, dann los!
Sexy und brutal sind eine tolle Kombination. 🩵💙❤️ ⚡⚡⚡
BMW please stay true to your roots, don't rush to make electric cars. You still have time, make gasoline lovers happy🇩🇪 Best regards
From:BMW Fan❤
Hell no , poor M2 OG 😢
Electric M cars... No no no... Come on bmw.. Get a grip of yourselves.
Really looking forward to the future of BMW M electrified. Really hoping for something retro-inspired, with a little more than a slightly wider body and a new paint...
Anybody who has ever owned a modern BMW knows their electronics are their Achilles Heel.
Beautiful video❤
I love the video edit and sound design elevated it.
+@SilverGas147 Why, thank you 😏
it is just too much of a golf cart to stir the senses. I've owned every generation of M, and will miss the brand. Thankfully, Porsche is still making some soulful cars.
They made a prototype EV m2 f87
Trust me, I'm an engineer coming out of his mouth is low key epic!!!
im totally fine with future fully electric M cars as long as theyre separate from the combustion engine Ms. Nothing could ever replace the sound and feel of a combustion engine. I would also be fine with a BMW thats like the lamborghini revuelto
They said nothing because no one wants Electric Cars.
2:13 yeah the m5 says otherwise 😅
Sane Engineers building Extraordinary machines that are actually positive for Humans.. Bravo BMW!
Can't wait for episode 3 ;)
+@radglitch7233 We can't wait to share it with you!
@@BMWM sweet, because y'all are so good at hiding secrets. A BEV F87?!!! What a BEAST. Keep up the awesome work, BMW M.
What a lovely job this must be. Playing with cars on far away holiday locations. And in the mean time you are getting paid for doing this.
Elinize kolunuza sağlık arabalar harika.
Damn I’m graduating college soon and I was hoping to gift myself an ICE M3 but I guess that isn’t happening anymore goal down the drain
It's a shame that the Gran Coupe body was never used on the M4. I'd trade my coupe in for it in a heartbeat.
Ich freue mich total auf die elektrische Zukunft von BMW, sind seit dem i3s dabei und fahren iX1 und i5. Ein M4e wenn die Kinder raus sind, könnte mir sehr gut gefallen 😍😍😍
Still hoping for a release of a full i4 M with the test mule’s widebody and an M3-like interior 🤞
All electric M cars are going to dominate. The Beast is said to be around 1500hp with an all wheel drive drivetrain. Not sure which tires are out there to cope with that kind of power
200k m3, no thanks 😅
BMW ///M for life. Trust the process. Meanwhile Im enjoying my F87 M2 competition
Stop wasting resources on electric cars people won’t buy
Who even asked for this😭😭😭😭😭
"Always take the next step" when you're literally forced by the government 😂
The title should be " we were forced to electrify and now we have to catch up to Tesla "
Im confused. Didn't bmw m division say they would never make a full electric m car !?
Well, they will go out of business if they don't. Outside US, all the german automakers are in huge trouble. They losing their Chinese market to BYD. EU regulations isn't helping either with the exhaust restrictions and stuff.
😂@@Unknown_22-z8c
Oh ... have to keep my eyes open in Arjeplog 😁
i'll take a revised s58 please
Okay then, let's see in the future... Can "the beast" refute all the criticism that currently exists?
Das ist ja besser als eine Netflix Serie. Well done!
