This is one of the best cordless screwdrivers. If it doesn't have the torque (And it has TORQUE for such a small package!) it naturally locks up and lets you use it as a regular screwdriver which is nice. Battery lasts *forever* I am not sure if I have ever exhausted it. Pretty fast, too, I use it all the time. Great machine.
I had the gears come apart on mine also. I was able to reassemble it I had to use grease to hold the gears in place to assemble it. It took a lot of patience and a steady hand to put all 9 gears back in also the 6 shims that lock the driver for manual use had to be put back in place. It was a task but I have spent years repairing tools so it was not too bad. I can say for a fact it can be reassembled if the gears come out it just isn't the easiest part of the job.
Thank you for the video. I like my both Hammerhead screwdrivers. After intensive use, the battery is no longer charging in one of them :(. Following your video has found that there are also tiny planetary gears between motor and screwdriver shaft which easily falls apart and the battery is welded to contact wires. After fighting it for over 30 min decided that buying new screwdriver is better than replacing the battery :)
I just had the same issue. Mine just stopped going forward to tighten. Took it apart and like clockwork, it went everywhere. I see a new one in my future.
@@blazn50 Same I'm glad I got my 2 years out of it, but now mine won't go reverse and the capacitors on the board overheat like a mofo. Even if I replace em there's no guarantee those were the only suspect issues. Currently looking at any similar alternative online that isn't × > $40.00
My knowledge and experience on that issue is limited however there are only two common ways to reverse the motor either electronically which is not something you could probably fix unless you were good with electronics diodes and MOSFETs and stuff like that or it's a switch that is simply wired backwards so when it's wired forwards the motor goes one way when it's wired backwards the motor goes the other way and when you toggle the switch you're just switching which way you're sending power to the motor so if yours uses two mechanical switches I don't remember what was inside that device that it's just simply possible that the reversing switch something's wrong with it it's not being pressed or a wires disconnected or something

@@linkwaker10 what happened are they discontinued?
Great video! what is the Samsung battery p/n? Thank you!
excellent video. mine stopped spinning so this will give me a good idea of what to expect.
+tao l it's a good double unit not designed to be taken apart sadly but able to be
Someone had a video where they dropped a little magnet down the shaft and glued it in so the bits stay in place. Seems like a solid idea.
Mine broke the planetary gears when i dropped it. Best all round screwdriver for the handyman.
my card less hammerhead screw driver motor to be replaced .where can i get in India
He refuses to admit that it rolls away
Rolls away?
Thank you for the video. Mine only spins in one direction but not the other. I've taken it apart but still can't find a solution. Any ideas?
