Mate you are dialing your skills in quick af. When you first started the only thing missing was DK throwing shade at you while fishing. Keep enjoying it and keep smiling
could you put in a normally closed switch that opens when you pull the handbrake and disables ABS until you let go of the handle, closing the circuit again and re-enabling ABS?
I have done it this way before on a GC8 wrx, I wired a door switch to ground in parallel with the oem handbrake switch as most abs units have a handbrake switch input
What's the wisdom when you have a diagonal split dual circuit brake system? You could take 1 rear line and T both rear brakes off that but then you lose some of the fail safe behaviour and may get weird brake behaviour because one line runs a single forward brake and the other runs a forward brake and two rear brakes. Do you need a twin cylinder hydraulic handbrake? Is there such a thing?
Does that hydro kit have a stopper to prevent piston pushing out of the master when applying foot brake pressure?... i know this was a issue a few years back plumbing it up in line.... maybe the newer kits come with the bracket already made as a stopper
There was a few that had pushed the piston past that circlip/snap ring due to a heavy braking application.. (this was back in 2004-2006) it just couldn't hold the pressure... it was a simple fix of just bolting a u shape strap around the bracket with a adjusting bolt to sit against lever in its resting place to prevent the piston being pushed further out than it should of. possibly they now fit alot bigger circlip into them that can take the pressure...which makes sense... I haven't had to work on a hydro handbrake since about 2012...haha
@BennysCustomWorks haha you got me pondering, lol. I think the cappuccino can run the same setup your team just installed, too. Is there a link to the whole setup for this?
@@tfriesen3866 yeah Holden and Ford used the T5 in Aus, though Ford persisted with it longer than Holden . I think the last T5 in Ford was around 07-08

Looks like a perfect night weatherwise for a skidpan session
Hydro done the way its been done for ever. Good work
Ayyy that’s my crown !!!
Use brake cleaner instead of silicone spray to shift rubber stuff ones it evaporates it won't slide about anymore.
What size cylinder you use? Thinking about doing the same for my Ute
5/8
Where do u get all this to setup have a hydraulic handbrake from au house ?

There are different setups but falcon already only has three channel abs so single line to the rear, making it really easy to do
Legend has it that crown kissed the wall

There’s a snap ring in the master cyl.

Seems fine :)
As much as i would love to do this i feel like i would spin out every other corner
Surprised the is200 wasn’t there
Man i wanna install one on my cappuccino but so little tunnel space😢
Put it on the passenger side :D

@@happydaily7324 it’s not a kit per se. I had the lines made up. We purchased the handbrake unit from gktech
@BennysCustomWorks thanks for the info, I'll look into there products. Greetings from Houston Texas buddy🤜🤛
Borg Warner T-5?
Yeah mate
@@BennysCustomWorks Thought so from the main case with where the magnet resides. I’ve opened up a few but none from a non-US application.

🎉
fucking hell would have been easier to just weld it. gonna be fucked if it comes loose or he needs to remove it later.
You mean weld the handbrake directly to the body? Yeah, na.
Remove it later? Bolts are easier for removal than weld mate.
