Former exhaust maker, they get louder after a week because the exhaust gasses push the glass fibres inside the mufflers and resonators against the body of the muffler, effectively taking the squish out of the fibres and changing the effective frequency range they were previously absorbing.
Loving this style with Ben and Gian just chatting away through the vids. Gian always asking the questions the novices like me want to ask! Hoping Gian gets his gimbal game on in the future for more of his creative shots. Great content, always well filmed, edited and entertaining.
yes, a non-slip contact is defined by a relative velocity of the two surfaces to be zero. In the case of the tire on the road, the only time its velocity relative to the road is not zero is when you're doing a burnout or locking the brakes.
7:26 that needs its own episode. With the Power Steering cooler, could add some foam strips or racetape... something to have the main radiator fan draw through. Stock wheels are also quite durable compared to some no-names. 26:34 Customspray mods Subby.
That looks like so much fun. I don't know if they've wet pan events here in the states but I'm hoping they do. The car community is such a fun place to explore. I can't get enough of the originality and creativity in builds.
To easily visualise the point of contact between tyre and road having 0 velocity just watch an excavator or tracked vehicle move, the bottom of the track that touches the ground is effectively still and the body of the machine moves, same concept with the tyre but because a wheel is round the contact point is just much smaller
Oh, and on the tyre doing zero kph thing, watch any tracked vehicle, bulldozer etc. When the track is against the ground it is effectively stopped. It's the same thing with a tyre but smaller contact patch.
After seeing how well looked after the new falcon was when you got it... I'd wonder if the radiator is just plugged with junk and needs a clean out. 🤷♂️
I havent even got into the vid but a minute and Benny is already crackin them off... side-quest note. That *makes* me have to ask... playstation guy, xbox guy, or pc master race guy?
21:24 I could be wrong but Gian's car being a Fairmont would have a variable rate steering rack? Could adding the astra system be messing with it and causing the 'dead spot'?
Or watching on a Thursday. I'd like to order parts from Sparesbox but they don't list the Corolla Fielder correctly and keep on trying to get me to order parts for an 1986 Corolla
@@BennysCustomWorks I have part numbers, it works when it's a common part like from a Yaris or Prius C. It fails for Fielder-specific parts, like spark plugs. I was advised to just put Yaris plugs in, I did that and while it worked, it wasn't running right. I finally got a set of OEM plugs directly from Toyota, fitted them and it's running better. Though, I did forget to plug a coil back in triggering a code & purchase of a code scanner
The banter between these guys never disappoints 😂

This is basically an Aussie "Hi Low" series at this point, Gian has the pov spec low car, and Benny has the Hi qual car 😂
Gian's either going for the unemployed bogan look or the aussie battler look, i'm not sure which one.
The sleeper vs the pos XR.
@65cj55 haha exactly, I'm leaning towards bogan drift-pig, but who knows haha
Imagine budget turbo vs a off the shelf kit 🤯

You two have great chemistry
It may help to understand the concept by understanding that the point at the top of the tire is moving at twice the vehicle's speed
That drawer with the bolts was so relatable

Explained transitioning with stock suspension perfectly with your dance

Shoot I'm watching this on Tuesday lol
even worse, the top point of the tire is travelling at 220 kph relative to the ground in that case ;)
I’m shitting to this. 30mins is a good length🎉😊
I'm watching this on a Wednesday, 2 weeks later 😂
The best Go Ped channel on the internet.
Benny's transition dance will get him a place at the next olympics....
8:30 that's correct, but it's velocity "relative to the road" and (as stated) assuming one has absolute traction. The opposite of that is a burn out.
