Dude, nice video. You don’t have to scroll down all the way to the bottom to get alt settings. Just hit the up arrow while at the top and it will go to the bottom.

Most of lg tv models have unlocked version and standard version. Unlocked models sometimes cant update automatically and standard version cannot be updated. Try manual update with usb. U can find update file in Lg website. If your tv doesn't have update file in website u cant update your tv.

Not getting much help From LG, so i decided to Reset the TV to its default status. Of course your going to come across some snags, mine came with the internet connection. For some reason it could not find a way to connect to my wiFi or wired Network connections, and so without that, the rest is useless. I am writing this on my pc nearby with both connections, so i do not know why it can't find either one. I went thru the usual process, unplug Modem, Router and even the TV as suggested...still no internet.

I tried this several times and it says that there is no update available but their website lists a more current firmware version. So I downloaded those files and tried to install them manually via USB, but when I insert the USB it only gives me Photo, Music, or Video choices and no options to access files.

I had exactly the same issue, to make it work you must extract/unzip the firmware update file. Folder on the USB drive must be named "LG_DTV". You should get a prompt once you put in the USB drive, and switch the TV on.
Took me a while to get this to work, very frustrating, would recommend Samsung over LG TV's they just work without any issues. Good luck
