The only reason you'd go for E5 over E10 fuel is the lower ethanol content; there's still ethanol in the fuel which will rot old fuel hose and rubber seals that haven't been replaced in roughly the last 10 years. Given the mileage involved, you could buy 10 feet of fuel hose and a carb seal kit for the extra cost of 1 tank of super unleaded over unleaded. Maybe look into that.
Thanks Sam, we will have to look into your suggestion. We are still learning so much about Gertie and Talbots. Will hit the internet and TH-cam for advice on how to do this. Do you know if it’s a difficult job to do?
@@TristandKez If you're not handy with the spanners, it may be cheaper and easier to get a garage to fit a reman. carb. Lots of places these days are full of kids with tablets; you need to find a little old boy back street place with an old test and tune machine; HE will know what to do with a carb, and how to set one up. Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop revving it to the moon when it finally catches! The mechanic in me cringes every time I hear it. When the engine is cold and the outside is cold too, oil is thick and it takes a second or two to pump it round everywhere (think what oil in a hot pan is like, versus fresh out the bottle. Engine oil does this too...) Thick oil does not lubricate. This is the trick to starting old sh*tboxes without an ECU, you need to learn the mechanics foot and tickle her into life and feather it to keep going...
It also produces water that rusts metal fuel tanks and pipe work. A tank of e5 every now and then will not stop the rot I'm afraid. Perhaps you should rename buy me a coffee to buy me some e5 lol.

litterally no one wants to live ft in a van. It's for weekends away and days out. or even weeks away. visit beautiful places in nature, stone circles, forests, coastline, friends and family that live far away etc etc.
I think half a million people live ft in campervans, motorhomes or caravans in the UK. It’s not for everyone but we like it. Hope you’ve had an amazing weekend and an even better start to next week 🤗
We live in our van ft because we love it (currently touring Ireland) - and unless it's for health reasons - would never consider going to the mundane life of bricks and mortar
Yes guys, this is what we like to hear. You only get one life so live it the way you want to. Hope you are enjoying Ireland. It looks like a beautiful and friendly place to travel. Happy travels guys 😎🤙

😬🤣 not for you this vlog?
@TristandKez what vlog? You put me to sleep at your clickbait 🙄
litterally no one wants to live ft in a van.
I bet you did enjoy having a bath as it would be great luxury to have ?
We live in our van ft because we love it (currently touring Ireland) - and unless it's for health reasons - would never consider going to the mundane life of bricks and mortar
Yes guys, this is what we like to hear. You only get one life so live it the way you want to. Hope you are enjoying Ireland. It looks like a beautiful and friendly place to travel. Happy travels guys 😎🤙
