15 years??? omg. Already? Wasn't I playing this intensly just a few months ago? haha I basically grew up with Diablo. I'm just twenty and it's existed for as long as I can remember. But fuck I feel old hearing that it's 15 years old!
Loved using phone to play multiplayer. We didn't even have internet with Diablo 1. But I remember being able to have my computer modem call my friends computer, was so much fun.
Best moment of my life, D1 just released. My dad comes home and said "I got a new pentium computer with some type of new thing called a video card; and we are going away for the long weekend".... My life has never been the same.
Listening to this almost made me cry. I remembered my childhood and the countless hours spent playing Diablo, and then Diablo II, then LoD. I will never forget how good these games were to me. R.I.P. Diablo and Diablo II...you will never be forgotten...

You should become a twitch streamer or find some other way to turn your hobbies into a profit. That way adult life will be just as good as childhood. Thats my plan. Currently practicing guitar for 8 hours a day so I can start streaming video game music on twitch.
@@gabedawg If you actually want to stream on twitch you should get started streaming early - not when you reach the point you want to musically. The twitch space is incredibly saturated and it'll take a lot of luck and hours of streaming for anyone to make it. It definitely isn't for everyone. Also - adult life can be great, it should be what you make of it. Make sure you're spending your time doing something you will be happy you did when you look back at it. Don't waste away doing something you hate because you feel you need to. This might sound privileged but unless you have some extreme circumstances you should be able to make your life great as an adult in the western world.

I played the original Diablo on an old macintosh computer when I was very young. I remember the feelings it evoked so clearly. The lonesome dungeons, the bleak melancholy tone of Tristram, the uncertainty and vague spirit of adventure in the air

Ok, I'm still at the very beginning of my guitarrist's career, but I fail miserably trying to position my fingers right. Frets 1, 2 and 4 seem impossibly far apart for my hand while it looks so natural and easy in this video. I suppose I will have to practice for a few more years before even attempting these chords again.

I was 15 when the Diablo 1 came out, the funny part is that I didn't know how do level up so I killed Diablo without Leveling up with a knockback 2-4 bow with the help of my cousin taking care of health potions (keys 1 to 8). :) thanks a ton for this and blessing.

Yes, I have the original disks for Diablo 1&2 also - including Hellfire. To me there's no such thing as old or new games, just good or bad ones. Diablo is among the best.

This piece of music is a slice of genius. The beat is jaunty and hopeful while the key is dark and depressing. It's a mixture of feelings which don't normally go together, yet blended expertly so that they DO go together. And that's the spirit of the Diablo game. You want to be hopeful and for the ending to be good, but you fear that your hope is in vain and the ending is inevitable.
imho an absolute masterpiece of music. i know people rather refer to mozarts work etc. but for me music always was about the feeling it invoke in yourself. this is highly individual and for me this piece of music is a stand alone

I remember when I was 10, with my 2 younger brothers we were so into this game and had only 1 pc, we use to take turns of 30 min each to play our chars until one of us wanted to keep playing longer so we keep fighting to see whose turn was it hahaha those were amazing times! Now I have 33 and still play it ❤️.

I'm returning here every now and then to reminisce the golden days.... it's a very cozy and lovely place, sad it's only a memory and will not ever come again. This video is therefore a time-capsule! Thanks for a perfect arrangement Mr. Lefvert! The eerie flated 5th in the composition catches the darkness of this game perfectly! No wonder it's called the devils intervall.

This piece of music is a slice of genius. The beat is jaunty and hopeful while the key is dark and depressing. It's a mixture of feelings which don't normally go together, yet blended expertly so that they DO go together.
And that's the spirit of the Diablo game. You want to be hopeful and for the ending to be good, but you fear that your hope is in vain and the ending is inevitable.

imho an absolute masterpiece of music. i know people rather refer to mozarts work etc. but for me music always was about the feeling it invoke in yourself. this is highly individual and for me this piece of music is a stand alone
