My piece, Reborn, was inspired by the core stories of well-known Chinese heroes. Their growing pains are similar to my experiences of learning Electone. Using lots of Chinese music elements in my composition, balancing punishing schedules and dealing with competition anxiety are a few of the challenges I faced.
After years of perseverance, sweaty fingers and tears, I finally have the feeling like the Chinese heroes - Reborn. Hope you enjoy my performance.
