Emmets voice is so beautiful so peaceful. We go through some difficult times in our life but when we hear this song and the music Emmett sings I think our faith is restored I thank God for sending Emmett and Celtic thunder. Someday I wish to see a concert. But I'm older now. I don't think that's going to happen so I'll just enjoy listening to the beautiful music. God bless you
Absolutely beautiful. I'm not religious but this stunning song has always been so important to me, it was played (Lanza's version) at my father's funeral almost thirty years ago. Thank you so much for posting X
I have always loved this song. Ever since I saw "The Student Prince" starring Mario Lanza.
As Emmet said, Mario Lanza was not in the movie. But his pre-recorded voice was used. Mario was expected to be in the film but he had a disagreement and walked off the set. From Wikipedia: "During production, original star Mario Lanza left the project before principal photography, necessitating his last-minute replacement by the lesser-known Edmund Purdom. Because of the contractual agreement between Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lanza, songs that Lanza had recorded were dubbed over Purdom's voice.
To me, Emmet has the most beautiful tenor voice ever I have heard.. and this was the most beautiful version of this unforgettable song ever I have heard..
Emmet’s father is rightfully proud of his amazing son.. whose beautiful tenor voice to me is perfect..

My mother sang this ahead of the Ave Maria before my first Mass of Thanksgiving 40 years ago.

You are keen and watchful. I trust you have been blessed by the song. Although this piece is quite ancient, the melody and lyrics is meaningful and it can relate to all ages. It moved me to tears as life and death are inevitable. But God is always with us.
@@EmmyKwong thankyou I'm a huge Mario Lanza fan he made films from 1948 until 1959 he died a few weeks before I was born in 1959 I have every film and I love a lot of religious songs
