The people who hate Detective Pikachu are the one's who can see the writing on the wall. The comedy is hit and miss, the plot is bland, and the character models are TERRIBLE. The most important thing in making realistic character models is that they look like they belong in the world. Mr. Mime is a shiny piece of plastic, Greninja is a shiny piece of plastic, every background character is a shiny piece of plastic. Pikachu's model is the best and even then mistakes were made. How do you go for long fur when one glance will tell you that Pikachu has fur like a Jack Russell? It'll make its money off of idiots and kids that don't know better, but it won't be a good movie.

There are already people planning boycotts for Star Wars and every single video discussing it is full of people saying the franchise is dead and they are no longer interested in it. It is literally the most hated film of 2019 already because the franchise has already been driven into the ground by the two studios. It's the only entry on the list that has already earned its hate.
They're more or so recycling their already fresh in mind timeless movies than make more original(or adapt) movies(from their own studio). It's unnecessary and the CGI will look dated in 10 years, 2D animation however, won't.

I have to disagree personally, as Toy Story had an as close to perfect as you can get conclusion in its third movie.... and the trailers for the 4th do little to inspire me to see it as they say NOTHING about it for the most part. The Lion King I will give a BIT more of a chance, but it's another unnecessary remake that loses some of its charm with realistic traits to animals, losing diversity in character design, removing elements people love (like "Be Prepared"). They feel like cash grabs, as Disneys track record for the live action remakes that attempt to "rectify" plot-holes only add more... and don't get me started on what Maleficent did to the original film. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however. I'll still watch them regardless when the right opportunity presents itself to give them a fair chance as these ARE only teasers, albeit ones that give me little faith in them.
I'm also curious as to why Detective Pikachu is on here, as from what I can tell (and also personally feel), it seems the majority of folks are curious and excited about it.

I know, the original Lion King might have more epicness and "something-that-is-never-seen-before" but I still loved the remake. It was like a sweet dessert for the original one.

Don't worry, watchmojo is running out of ideas for a long time, so all they do now is trying to create controversy for clicks, maybe not all disney remakes would work, but no one in their right mind would hate Lion King (I guess some nerds never dated a real woman work for Watchmojo will), it's a Shakespear story it's well told even before movie exist, with the CGI level we have today, that paticular remake would 1000% be great. Watchmojo recently open a channel on a Chinese video site I often go to, their like and dislike ratio is fucking miserable, their salty bullshit reasons never stand with a market full of casual audiences, movies are supposed to be fun, these disney remakes judging by the trailers and teasers, are very much fun, that's all it should take to be liked, leave the unwatchables to Oscar.

To be fair I get the impression that WatchMojo made this video a while ago. There's no reason why they can't use footage from a trailer to talk about it, and they didn't use any footage of the Detective Pikachu movie from the trailer released recently. Similar to the Toy Story 4 teaser and The Lion King live action film trailer. Also they would've talked about fans reactions to these things if this video had been made recently. I feel like this video was made probably just before all that new info came to light and they've just posted it as part of their video schedule as planned. Since the reveal of the trailer for Detective Pikachu fans have gone from hating the very concept to actually being optimistic in it's appeal. Toy Story 4's teaser did little to address fans concerns and so that group is still wary. The Lion King trailer seems to have been met with quite a bit of positivity as well considering it's pretty spot on faithful. With the biggest issue I've seen coming from people now is what the point is, because it isn't really "live action" when you think of it. It's more a 3D animated version. Also concerns about the voice cast since people are so attached to the original cast. Either way I'm just leaning on this being a case of WatchMojo making this video before those three trailers dropped.

The comedy is hit and miss, the plot is bland, and the character models are TERRIBLE.
The most important thing in making realistic character models is that they look like they belong in the world. Mr. Mime is a shiny piece of plastic, Greninja is a shiny piece of plastic, every background character is a shiny piece of plastic. Pikachu's model is the best and even then mistakes were made. How do you go for long fur when one glance will tell you that Pikachu has fur like a Jack Russell?

They're more or so recycling their already fresh in mind timeless movies than make more original(or adapt) movies(from their own studio). It's unnecessary and the CGI will look dated in 10 years, 2D animation however, won't.

I have to disagree personally, as Toy Story had an as close to perfect as you can get conclusion in its third movie.... and the trailers for the 4th do little to inspire me to see it as they say NOTHING about it for the most part. The Lion King I will give a BIT more of a chance, but it's another unnecessary remake that loses some of its charm with realistic traits to animals, losing diversity in character design, removing elements people love (like "Be Prepared"). They feel like cash grabs, as Disneys track record for the live action remakes that attempt to "rectify" plot-holes only add more... and don't get me started on what Maleficent did to the original film. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however. I'll still watch them regardless when the right opportunity presents itself to give them a fair chance as these ARE only teasers, albeit ones that give me little faith in them.

Watchmojo recently open a channel on a Chinese video site I often go to, their like and dislike ratio is fucking miserable, their salty bullshit reasons never stand with a market full of casual audiences, movies are supposed to be fun, these disney remakes judging by the trailers and teasers, are very much fun, that's all it should take to be liked, leave the unwatchables to Oscar.

They said at the beginning that they actually are looking forward to some of these, but that these movies are generating a lot of backlash. Read the comment section and you'll see why that movie is hated.
To be fair I get the impression that WatchMojo made this video a while ago. There's no reason why they can't use footage from a trailer to talk about it, and they didn't use any footage of the Detective Pikachu movie from the trailer released recently. Similar to the Toy Story 4 teaser and The Lion King live action film trailer.
Also they would've talked about fans reactions to these things if this video had been made recently. I feel like this video was made probably just before all that new info came to light and they've just posted it as part of their video schedule as planned.
Since the reveal of the trailer for Detective Pikachu fans have gone from hating the very concept to actually being optimistic in it's appeal. Toy Story 4's teaser did little to address fans concerns and so that group is still wary. The Lion King trailer seems to have been met with quite a bit of positivity as well considering it's pretty spot on faithful. With the biggest issue I've seen coming from people now is what the point is, because it isn't really "live action" when you think of it. It's more a 3D animated version. Also concerns about the voice cast since people are so attached to the original cast.
Either way I'm just leaning on this being a case of WatchMojo making this video before those three trailers dropped.
