yeah thats definitely my favourite part of the online mod- mechanics/tools that kinda suck in PvE are given a whole new life in PvP. Spear is kinda meh in PvE except headless ape, but in PvP it was top tier for months.
to be fair lot of tools in Sekiro are kinda OP in PVP PVE focus game are designed to satisfy PVE PVP has to be constantly rebalanced to satisfy everyone and every playstyles
