Real always does great in CL because Ancelotti is a pragmatic coach. His teams will defend if they need to, press if they need to or dominate thorugh posession. Pep and all his clones play just through possession, that might be good for league formats but for cup ties not as much.
They are horribly boring and uninspired. Ofc they show individual quality when goals happen but the build up, transition/counter and even their style is really boring
That said. Tuchel did well. He played the possession way at the Allianz and reorganized and defended at the Bernabau. I thought the game was done well, and we just over thought it at the end.
I don't blame Neuer, I blame us for letting Vini Jr. run riot at us. What the heck. Kimmich was handling him okay but Vini was handling Kimmich wildly. My god. Sane was the option for support? We should have addressed that earlier.
As for the referee at the end. That was a horrible mistake fron the referee. Robbed Bayern of their final "real" chance. And before attacking me, I am not talking of the goal, I am talking of the chance. They were onside. I do not know if we score after, if we force a save or if we shoot wide... but I wanted us to at least have that final chance.

Another refereeing (linesman) screw up. It's highly likely that Bayern Munich would have scored had the linesman not raised his flag. Then there would have been a VAR check and it would be clear the player was not offside. After all the expense and heartache deploying VAR there are still many mistakes that are unfair occuring. This has to be sorted, the game is being ruined by the current set of rules of play and more especially VAR as currently implemented.

I thought we handled Madrid well over the both legs, but likewise, Madrid handled us well. We made the absurd decision to not address Vini Jr running at Kimmich. Kimmich was handling him okay, but then Vini got pumped up and suddenly was beating Kimmich throughout. That should have been sorted out sooner. We had the game but our mistakes were fatal and that is how football goes.
I cannot blame Madrid for the last call by the referee, that was absurd refereeing. That was Bayern's final chance. I know play stopped but if the ref didn't rush it, we could have had one last bit of drama in the match. Could have been a goal, a save or a miss... that ruined the game.
De ligt was in an offside position and running onto the ball played in his space. Thus he is interfering with play and would be offside anyway?

Let me just put this out there for the record, being Madrid fans we're more disappointed than Bayern or Barca fans after our game with Bayern, because thanks to a mistake made by the officials during the dying minutes of the game, these haters have got an excuse and are trying to chip away from Madrid their hard earned and well deserved victory because make no mistake Madrid were the better side for the most part of the game and Lunin and our defenders would have easily stopped that goal if it wasn't for the whistle. Madrid almost got the taste of their own medicine yesterday. Dominating every aspect of the match, huge amount of chances but a world class goalkeeper keeps the game alive that should have been buried long time ago. A brilliant counter attack results in a goal.
But what makes them the final boss of this competition is that they know how to fight back until the final whistle. Kudos to them and what an intense semi final of two great clubs

Real Madrid went through cause Neuer bottled it and choked. However, Real were the better team on the night. But choking is normal at the Bernabeu; its the one stadium in the world where big time players can make school yard mistakes. Too much pressure, most crumble like a cookie.
Yet another reason why Messi was so great, as he was able to score and perform big time there time after time in both CL and La Liga. Not just once or twice but well over a couple of dozen times in his career at Barca.
