My Dyson overheated constantly after a year of use. I cleaned the filter constantly. I eventually ended up selling it and I know many stylist who have had the same exact issues. I bought the shark and have yet to receive it, but I'm excited to try it out. I don't care about looks. I care about performance
I had the same issue as you but I kept trying to use it. You got lucky and sold it. Mine died after 2 years. Also they do NOT repair hair dryers and warranty is only for 2 years. I was not happy.
@@jeni1350 they just started replacing the motors in some of the Dyson service/repair centers You should look for the location close to you (can be found on Dysons website) My location did not offer this when I first called about my dryer motor issue, but they did tell me they were going to start doing so soon. Now its 6 months later, but they Are doing motor replacements (or at least the service center near me now is...)
I actually have the Dyson and the shark speed style. The colour on the shark looks sleek and expensive. Although I love my Dyson, I do prefer the brush attachments you get with the shark.
I tried the Dyson and the T3. T3 wins. Dyson made my hair feel dry and crunchy. T3 makes my hair feel so smooth and like it left some moisture in my strands. Also it gets my coily ends straighter than the Dyson. I use the comb attachment and the teeth on the Dyson's are too wide. I promptly returned the Dyson.
I loved my Dyson! (Notice I said "Loved"...not "Love") Four days ago, it died. Although it exceeded its warranty, I still feel that a $400+ product should last a very long time. I know my old Babyliss still works well and has for more than 8 years. I gave it to my daughter when I got the Dyson, and she is still using it. I just think a $400+ hair dryer should last a LOT longer than one that cost $80. So, even though I dearly loved my Dyson... I just ordered the Shark Speedstyle. I'm hoping I'll like it as much as I like my Shark robot vac, upright vac, and steam mop. I know I already like that the Speedstyle is half the price of the Supersonic
@diamondprincess458 the Dyson dried my hair faster. Plus, my hair felt & looked better when dried with the Dyson I used the same comparable settings (medium heat + medium air flow) and my hair had less volume, more frizz, and had to use extra serum on the ends because they felt a bit brittle. The attachments on the Shark are okay. There is definitely a learning curve, but they still feel awkward to me. The one major thing I do like is the attachments lock on. The concentrator nozzle on my Dyson would fly off at times. But I'd deal with that any day over dealing with dry brittle frizzy hair. I've decided to get the motor replaced in my Dyson and keep the Shark as a backup (just in case) The Shark is still better than my old Babyliss....
@@TheWendysanantonio Thank you! And yes I have seen from other reviews that the shark one tends to leave the hair frizzy and dry looking so your experience makes sense
Don’t waste your money on a Dyson. It’s certainly not worth it. Had mine for less than 2 years, barely used and it broke. NOT WORTH IT!!! Right now it’s in the trash.

How is being so far?
My vacuum would over heat too

I think the t3 makes ur hair feel amazing and soft. My guess is they were paid to promote dyson.

I completely agree.
Dyson doesn’t have negative ions while t3 does.
I feel like the Dysons cool setting doesn’t get cool enough

What do you think of the shark compared to the Dyson?
I like it... but I don't love it like I did my Dyson😢

I’m on the fence though this scaring me towards the Shark now as I only use mine 1-2x week. I also do not care about appearance, more of a bonus.
I don’t like the Dyson. The cord is way too heavy
The Dyson SHOULD win, it's more than double the cost.
Shark is better than dyson When it comes to performance
We're so glad it worked for you!
