Agreed. I think it’s so cool Dyson wants to work with her as much and as often as they have, but the buyer audience for these uber-luxury styling tools is probably a pretty small slice of the pie. I wonder if she is under contract with Dyson, and if so whether that contract has some sort of non-compete agreement that would prohibit featuring other tools until the contract expires. I’m not that bothered if that’s the case, because if I were in Mel’s position I’d probably be thrilled to have an opportunity to do business with such a giant like Dyson that does invest so much into research and development. It would be nice to see more of a range of diffuser reviews though. As for this blow dryer, I’d be tempted if over time it gets a reputation for being very durable and long-lasting, as that would justify the up front cost more for me. I do have a very sensitive scalp, so in that way I am more the target audience in some way I suppose.
I know what I want for mothers day, christmas, birthday, & anniversary present. I think my husband would love buying one item to cover the major dates 😊🙏😇
Don't get how the new diffuser is different from other diffusers on the market when both use reverse airflow. The dome/bowl is a nice touch but both goes inwards
I personally find the features really interesting, specially the sensors that can identify which attachment you're using and which heat settings you had previously. It's just-- I freaking LOVE IT! HOWEVER I must say that I also find it a bit excessive, mainly the number of attachments. 5 different attachments to diffuse your hair? Sounds a little too much for me. Also the price. Definitely too much for me, but I can understand why it's so expensive. Such technology is hard to create and the amount of it this diffuser has is just crazy. Props to Dyson for creating it. Did I like it? Yes. Would I buy it? Nope.
I have the original Dyson and if/when it needs replacing, I will still go for the original Dyson. I have had mine since 2021 and this one is healthy for your hair and doesn’t damage it.
Thank you for talking us through the latest Dyson hair-dryer. It is fascinating what they keep coming up with. In relation to the price, yes, it is expensive, no we do not necessarily need it. Mell has always made that clear. It is like Bose products - you are partly paying for the brand recognition, but a lot of it is to do with innovation. R&D costs a lot. You want multiple engineers working on concepts and designs all at once, producing prototypes, and quite a big portion of these won't work or won't see the light of day. But the ones that do change the landscape of their field of technology. Personally, I want a world like that, with constant innovation and betterment, rather than cheap rehashes of what already exists. Mell, I loved how your shirt and eyeliner matched the colourway of the Dyson! And your smile when you had your hair in the dome attachment was adorable.
I agree. I am normally a sucker for new stuff. The amount of hair products I've been influenced to buy is embarassing. I ended up buying the shark and then got influenced into buying the Laifen.
Ok, we need to know… do these new attachments fit the original Supersonic? I love that diffuser, and I already have a supersonic. I’m not about to shell out for another dryer just for that attachment…
Not your eyeliner, lip and shirt ALSO matching the hair dryer! I agree about using the diffuser as a head massager, lol. I may treat myself to a new hair dryer in the future, this dryer looked awesome.
I have the original Dyson and I will always rave about. This new edition looks cool and I don’t want to sound snarky but, if your scalp is overheating I’m pretty sure most people would know and wince from the pain. They would most likely stop and take a moment before returning to blow dry again. I mean I get the heat features and it’s automatic changes when it’s closer or away from the scalp (and by all means it’s a pretty cool feature, not knocking it) but probably not worth it unless you’re willing to shell out for it.
Do you think they’re gonna sell the new attachments to buy and use with the original supersonic? I’m so intrigued by the new diffuser dome attachment but I don’t need the whole nural lol
I just bought this from Sephora because I got a $200 gift card from Chase. Still expensive but I cannot wait to try this out!!!! Thanks for the tutorial ❤
My Dyson hair dryer just broke. We have a shop nearby that tried to fix it, but they said it was done for. I just bought this, it came in last night. I can't wait to try it!!!!
I bought the dryer based on this video. I justified the cost because I have had the same $20 dryer from Walmart for 20 years! 😂 And wow! The dryer is amazing! It has changed my life because my curls look so good and i have good volume. 😊

But just like you've done affordable product videos, it would be something lovely and I'm sure helpful to many people if you could do an affordable hair dryer videos for those of us who absolutely can't afford a Dyson. ❤😘🥰
I am so curious to know the answer to this so if anyone knows I'd appreciate an answer; will the wave + curl diffused work on the original supersonic? I'd love to get it as an attachment to my original one.
Have you ever tried an at-home hooded dryer? Like what they use at the salon? I know you have a stand to make your hair dryer hands-free, but specifically curious about the hooded dryers to see if they dry faster since doing your whole head at once. (Not the hooded/cap type, hoods you sit under.)

I have very fine thin 2C short bob about 12 inches long would that help bring out my waves more or should I use one with prongs? Short or long prongs? Ugh please help!❤ or if there's one for other hair dryers? Universal with a deep bowl?
I saw dryer stands on Amazon, some demo a regular hair dryer while others I've seen show what looks to be the Dyson. Price ranges from high $20s to mid and high $30s
Thank you for a great video. I'm torn. A local shop has the original supersonic for £229 atm. The neural is currently £399. I have straightish hair with a lot of movement. With a good cut, products, etc, I can get a curl. The new diffuser sounds fab!

Could you do a review on a travel-friendly diffuser that you think is good. Curlsmith makes one that is dual voltage and folds up.
I had a Philips hairdryer that adjusted its temperature depeding of how wet the hair was. With this type of diffuser. My hair looked beautiful and wavy. You have to take care of it, clean it of dust periodically, otherwise it burns. It’s much cheaper. Philips sense IQ Series 9000 BHD829/00

I purchased this new Dyson Supersonic Nural......and it's going bye bye back to it's homeland, Dyson World. None of the attachments work with the scalp protect, ya just have to use the dryer straight up for that to work. I also thought that it ran WAY to hot for my scalp. Even on the lowest heat setting, I was like wow this is more like warm/hot than cool. I did feel super rich and in the land of luxury, but it just wasn't for me. I did like the diffuser, but that's the only thing I really did like, and for the price tag I really felt I had to be "In love"/head over heels with this dryer to keep it around my house. I purchased a Panasonic Nanoe EHNA67 so we shall see how it performs. It was A LOT cheaper. My husband still can't quite understand why I need "another" hair dryer, but do most men realllllllllly understand women and their beauty products? I mean some do get it, but most don't I would say. My hair cannot air dry, it has to be diffused, or it looks a fright-I think in one of your video you described someone's curly hair that can't let it air dry for specific reasons, and I was like " Hi!! Yep, that's me, Over here in MN".
I’m seeing Laifen out there. Is there a way to do a comparison between the Laifen and both supersonic and nural? Definitely trying to see if it’s worth getting the affordable version without compromising great results.
