I'll say it again, the guy in charge of the youtube marketing campaign for this game did an amazing job. Never have i seen a game build so much hype like that. Also 8ing translated the looks and the moves of the DFO character so well that its hard to believe. This game has everything to be a success: the look, the gameplay, the netcode and the hype! Can't wait to see it in tournaments!!!
I would like to add that if you look at the korean trailer, the Troubleshooter and F mech can be seen for a fraction of a second getting hit by Super awakening! So 3 new char confirmed!!!

I'd like to point out the great editing in this trailer, a lot of shots flows nicely into the next some of my favourite examples: 0:04 the little dragon moves to the right into dragon knight, right after that a blue spirit floats to the bottom right away from ghost samurai(?) 0:18 the two swords are aligned diagonally, top left to bottom right, grappler has the same diagonal alignment in his divekick 0:34 your eyes are likely paying attention to the dragon's head in the top middle, cut to crusader tied up in the same area of the video 0:49 hitman's shades move to the bottom left, grappler drops a grave(?) the same direction (apologies if this is the wrong word, i feel it's a cultural thing i'm not familiar with) 1:01 kunoichi swings her sword from the right to the bottom, cut to ranger's gun and him finishing the clockwise movement 1:07 ranger aim his gun, but in the next shot, he is the one getting shot repeatedly i'm not a professional editor, more of an admirer and i quite enjoy this one

The most fun I had was switching characters with my opponent, win or lose, because hey, it’s a beta. I was getting washed by Crusaders, and one Striker. But it didn’t feel bad compared to other games.
I'm glad cause this shit needs hella tweaks, hit boxes are insane af, there are infinites in the game, and they need to speed it up .5 , it's pretty slow for a anime fighter
Tehy'll never do beta for PC. Arcsys hates pc players :D DBFZ had no betas for PC, only PS. GGST had 2 betas, both PS only. They even added some cool character skins, avaliable only for PS preorders. PC preorders didn't get shit

So I had a running theory/bet with a friend that went against the idea that we'd only see one subclass per character; I figured we get multiple subclasses for one character each. I knew it'd be a longshot but then we see freaking Ghostblade pop his head in (as well as another subclass, won't spoil who tho...) and I'm feeling pretty vindicated! I was already jazzed about this game, the beta was freaking amazing and exactly what I wanted from a tourney fighter version of a MMO I've played since the original Nexon beta back in 2009, and I would've been happy with just the characters here for the base roster, but now knowing there's the potential to get (maybe all???) other subclasses into the game? Summer 2022 can't get here fast enough!

@@sojackedup Can he control the ghost in any way? Because a puppet character doesn’t need to have their puppet present at all times to qualify as such. For example, Menar in SFV would qualify as a puppet character (controllable objects fall under this category as well), and her orb isn’t always out. The same for Viola in SC5, another orb user. Zato-1 in Guilty Gear doesn’t always have Eddie out, etc. So if Ghostblade can control the ghost independent of himself, I’d still qualify him as a puppet character, even if he might have some additional quirks to him. And even IF he can’t do that in DFO, we don’t know how they’ll adapt him to DNF; could still be able to do it in this game.
@@CrossfacePanda Define 'control the ghost'. He has attacks where the ghost does a move separately and he can still attack while the ghost is attacking. In-game he has three sets of moves: individual attacks, ghost attacks, and team-up attacks. The team-up attacks are basically like how Noob Saibot works in Mortal Kombat. He's loosely a puppet character, but I'd say the times where you're making the ghost do multiple things independent of you usually happens so rarely that it's not really a dominant-enough part of his kit that I'd say he's a puppet character. To me calling him a puppet character feels similar to calling someone like Sol Badguy a grappler because he has a command grab.
@@BLACKOUT-MK2 Hmmm, yeah, now I get it. So, like with Noob Saibot, it’s more like he has special moves that send out a separate character, but that character is ostensibly just a projectile. So he can’t for example do what Zato-1 can do, where he puts out Eddie, and then while doing his own attacks also get Eddie to do special moves of his own, and control Eddie’s movement to some degree. Am I getting that right? Because I agree with you on the “Sol is not a grappler” part (though many people would disagree with us on that :P), since his character isn’t built around the command throw as his main strategy and damage dealer, and I don’t think that just having a command grab makes you a grappler (Yun and Makoto aren’t grapplers to me, for example). And for a puppet character, I do think some degree of independent control is necessary to qualify (for example, I don’t count Ice Climbers in Smash as a puppet character, though I’m sure some would disagree with that, too).
@@CrossfacePanda Yeah he's kind of like a projectile in that sense. The only difference is how his positioning works. Like, you might cast a move that summons him in front of you to do three slashes. You might also have a move that makes him dash forward with a big slash. However, you can technically do the first set of slashes move after the dash one, and instead of being summoned in front of you to do them he'll go straight into the combo attack from where he ended up on the screen after the dash attack. That's the closest puppet-esque thing I can think of. Basically he's always summoned right next to the player like Noob Saibot *unless* you do another attack with him before he can fade away in which case he maintains his positioning from the last attack. You can't really choose to keep him out though, he has to fade away after a second or two if you don't follow up with another move that involves him.
I was scared it was going to release around the same time as KOF 15 but I'm glad they're taking their time. Hope to see avatar skins for these characters.

For the people panicking about it not being released on PC, the PS logos where shown along with dates which are for the open beta. The game will still be released on PC.

At the rate we were getting character trailers and the beta, it was almost a sure fire bet that we were getting this game next year. Summer 2022 is certainly a good time to drop it off. And with Ghostblade, we finally got that confirmation that we aren’t limiting ourselves to a class per character. Multiple Slayers and hopefully we’ll see more in due time. And mage… is still missing, but there’s still plenty of time, so nothing to really worry about for the moment.
The only thing I still don't get is why Arc-sys refuse to release Xbox-versions of their fighting-games, I mean what is there to lose, it's a big enough platform by now and growing fast that it would only be a win right? It will get an PC-version and I'm having a hard time believing that the player-base over there is THAT much bigger than the Xbox in terms of fightinggame-fans..
ghost blade looks so good, and its great that their not doing 1 character per class type but hopefully we do get all classes I doubt we will get every character type but i am really hoping to see whitch. she looks like she will be really fun to play

I swear, even though I'm pretty bad at fighting games (and even though I have pretty much zero familiarity with Dungeon Fighter Online), I've never felt such a strong urge to play a fighting game until DNF Duel's preview trailers started coming out. My heart's definitely set on maining Striker (eyeing Kunoichi and Hitman, too).

@@Raizeluxe There's zero chance there will be 62 classes for launch. It'll be MAYBE 16. Even taking DLC into account, adding 62 classes would take many years. I could see maybe two or three seasons of DLC to get us somewhere around 30 characters or something. Depends on how successful the game is.

It's more like his own spirit manifested with demonic powers than a stand. In DFO Ghostblade is one of most complicated subclasses to use, so SHIT can get real with this one, something like Zato-1 from Guilty Gear prolly

Alrigh, shit, so we don't only het a dope trailer but we also get a character reveal with Ghostblade. That's a asuper cool Awakening and also makes multiple awakenings per class available since both he and Berserker are from the Male Slayer class. This is looking better and better the closer we're getting to release, and with it not coming until next summer I'm wondering how big the launch roster is going to be. Because we are up to eleven and the character select screen during the beta could fit 16 if I recall correctly.
Words cannot express how OVERWHELMINGLY BASED this is. I know what I'm gonna save my money for now, the beta gameplay was already incredible so I can't wait to see the full product. And the excitement I feel for the character themes and music overall will make me buy this AT. LAUNCH.

I love F.Mech but she's too broken for a Fighting game and I'm afraid of what they'll do to make her work here, I hope they bring F.Spitfire since it'll be easier to convert without gutting her hit.

Ghostblade and Troubleshooter will most definitely be stealing Creator and DK's spot here, But they can't do it to the mages and F.Slayer, these characters are simply far too important to be left out, and they are popular too, despite Neople making sure the Endgame content almost always kills their viabilty, keeping them at mid tier, or low tier in some cases, with stupid mechanics that work against their kit.Although Vagabond was the actual top tier last time I checked
It's a beta, though, not a demo. Betas exist to be tested in order to find out the bugs, glitches and issues that can only be found through large amounts of active players, so they can actually be found and ironed out before release. The beta experience sucking is actually good--the more issues that show up, the more that can be pinpointed and (hopefully) fixed in time for a proper smooth and working launch.

@@sojackedup Ah, so I was mostly right about him being a puppet character, but he’s also able to swap places with it. That’s a cool spin on the puppet archetype.
@@sojackedup Can he control the ghost in any way? Because a puppet character doesn’t need to have their puppet present at all times to qualify as such.
For example, Menar in SFV would qualify as a puppet character (controllable objects fall under this category as well), and her orb isn’t always out. The same for Viola in SC5, another orb user. Zato-1 in Guilty Gear doesn’t always have Eddie out, etc.
So if Ghostblade can control the ghost independent of himself, I’d still qualify him as a puppet character, even if he might have some additional quirks to him. And even IF he can’t do that in DFO, we don’t know how they’ll adapt him to DNF; could still be able to do it in this game.
@@CrossfacePanda Define 'control the ghost'. He has attacks where the ghost does a move separately and he can still attack while the ghost is attacking. In-game he has three sets of moves: individual attacks, ghost attacks, and team-up attacks. The team-up attacks are basically like how Noob Saibot works in Mortal Kombat.
He's loosely a puppet character, but I'd say the times where you're making the ghost do multiple things independent of you usually happens so rarely that it's not really a dominant-enough part of his kit that I'd say he's a puppet character. To me calling him a puppet character feels similar to calling someone like Sol Badguy a grappler because he has a command grab.
@@BLACKOUT-MK2 Hmmm, yeah, now I get it. So, like with Noob Saibot, it’s more like he has special moves that send out a separate character, but that character is ostensibly just a projectile. So he can’t for example do what Zato-1 can do, where he puts out Eddie, and then while doing his own attacks also get Eddie to do special moves of his own, and control Eddie’s movement to some degree. Am I getting that right?
Because I agree with you on the “Sol is not a grappler” part (though many people would disagree with us on that :P), since his character isn’t built around the command throw as his main strategy and damage dealer, and I don’t think that just having a command grab makes you a grappler (Yun and Makoto aren’t grapplers to me, for example). And for a puppet character, I do think some degree of independent control is necessary to qualify (for example, I don’t count Ice Climbers in Smash as a puppet character, though I’m sure some would disagree with that, too).
@@CrossfacePanda Yeah he's kind of like a projectile in that sense. The only difference is how his positioning works. Like, you might cast a move that summons him in front of you to do three slashes. You might also have a move that makes him dash forward with a big slash. However, you can technically do the first set of slashes move after the dash one, and instead of being summoned in front of you to do them he'll go straight into the combo attack from where he ended up on the screen after the dash attack.
That's the closest puppet-esque thing I can think of. Basically he's always summoned right next to the player like Noob Saibot *unless* you do another attack with him before he can fade away in which case he maintains his positioning from the last attack. You can't really choose to keep him out though, he has to fade away after a second or two if you don't follow up with another move that involves him.

I went from "No idea what this game is." to "can't wait for it to come out!" in the space of a couple of weeks and hands on with the beta, even when I was getting my ass handed to me I was having so much fun!
I lost every match i've played so far and i also was still having fun.
Yeah, the beta is what sold me.
There is just literally no other way to know how a game 'feels' unless you get to try it personally. I wish every fighting game had an open beta.

For the people panicking about it not being released on PC, the PS logos where shown along with dates which are for the open beta. The game will still be released on PC.
Hopefully it'll be on Xbox too. But if not I'll just have to cop it on PC. Because it'll be kinda weird to only have a mmo based fighting game as a PS exclusive

Very surprised to see a second slayer subclass. Mage players are scared rn lol.
At the rate we were getting character trailers and the beta, it was almost a sure fire bet that we were getting this game next year. Summer 2022 is certainly a good time to drop it off.
And with Ghostblade, we finally got that confirmation that we aren’t limiting ourselves to a class per character. Multiple Slayers and hopefully we’ll see more in due time.
And mage… is still missing, but there’s still plenty of time, so nothing to really worry about for the moment.

The only thing I still don't get is why Arc-sys refuse to release Xbox-versions of their fighting-games, I mean what is there to lose, it's a big enough platform by now and growing fast that it would only be a win right? I swear, even though I'm pretty bad at fighting games (and even though I have pretty much zero familiarity with Dungeon Fighter Online), I've never felt such a strong urge to play a fighting game until DNF Duel's preview trailers started coming out. My heart's definitely set on maining Striker (eyeing Kunoichi and Hitman, too).
Sadly main Striker mechanics didnt got into game(cause prolly it would be Over the top), but she still crazy

I have to admit, I had no idea how awesome this game would look when they first announced it. I wonder how many characters will be there for launch and if we will get alternate costumes in this game.
If they are faithful to original DFO, then it will be 62 playable classes.
@@Raizeluxe There's zero chance there will be 62 classes for launch. It'll be MAYBE 16. Even taking DLC into account, adding 62 classes would take many years. I could see maybe two or three seasons of DLC to get us somewhere around 30 characters or something. Depends on how successful the game is.

It's more like his own spirit manifested with demonic powers than a stand. In DFO Ghostblade is one of most complicated subclasses to use, so SHIT can get real with this one, something like Zato-1 from Guilty Gear prolly

Alrigh, shit, so we don't only het a dope trailer but we also get a character reveal with Ghostblade. That's a asuper cool Awakening and also makes multiple awakenings per class available since both he and Berserker are from the Male Slayer class. This is looking better and better the closer we're getting to release, and with it not coming until next summer I'm wondering how big the launch roster is going to be. Because we are up to eleven and the character select screen during the beta could fit 16 if I recall correctly.

Words cannot express how OVERWHELMINGLY BASED this is. I know what I'm gonna save my money for now, the beta gameplay was already incredible so I can't wait to see the full product. And the excitement I feel for the character themes and music overall will make me buy this AT. LAUNCH.

I love F.Mech but she's too broken for a Fighting game and I'm afraid of what they'll do to make her work here, I hope they bring F.Spitfire since it'll be easier to convert without gutting her hit.
@@bloody4558 F mech is already confirmed to be in. For some reason they edited this version of the trailer, but in the original version Mechanic and Troubleshooter are briefly shown getting hit by supers.
@@PLATINUM753 Their Kit is probably still in develoment so they chose to cut them here to avoid having to answer questions about them. Ghostblade and Troubleshooter will most definitely be stealing Creator and DK's spot here, But they can't do it to the mages and F.Slayer, these characters are simply far too important to be left out, and they are popular too, despite Neople making sure the Endgame content almost always kills their viabilty, keeping them at mid tier, or low tier in some cases, with stupid mechanics that work against their kit.Although Vagabond was the actual top tier last time I checked
This games presentation is top tier but man just playing the beta has killed a significant amount of hype for me hope launch day it’s not that bad
It's a beta, though, not a demo. Betas exist to be tested in order to find out the bugs, glitches and issues that can only be found through large amounts of active players, so they can actually be found and ironed out before release.
The beta experience sucking is actually good--the more issues that show up, the more that can be pinpointed and (hopefully) fixed in time for a proper smooth and working launch.
