Combo Devils is an evolution of the platform-fighting genre.
Stylish combat, and a cooperative roguelite mode offers content for all player skill levels. An experience that balances accessibility with a high execution ceiling for a dedicated core player base to grow around.
Players who enjoy platform fighters and traditional fighting games will find Combo Devils familiar yet fresh and excitingly new. Our goal is to create a competitive one-on-one fighting game experience that rewards creativity and dedication.

I've seen so many Smash-like games over the last few years, but this one absolutely takes the cake. The movement, combat and aesthetics are just so clean. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

We're calling them "platform fighters" these days. As a sub genre title, it is the most descriptive and accurate way to describe the games. We don't call "first person shooters" "Doom likes" or "doom clones" anymore.

This is gonna be amazing. I’ve playtested it a few times now and I like it even more than smash bros. The combos are next level and the battles you can have just staying in mid-air are so extra and fun! Also, the levels are freaking gorgeous and I hear that they’re gonna make the levels extremely versatile, playing different locations around the same level mid-game. So excited!
I really hope the roster is at least 24 characters and not some odd little roster games like this need bigger rosters for more longevity u see ppl still play ultimate nasb2 is decent as well and has a decent amount of characters for now

Playing other platform fighters makes you realize how "meh" Smash is by comparison.
It's literally Brawlhalla but without the weapons. also making a comment and saying random things just so you can say "i like it even more than smash" is just worthless and pitiful. and like hell you "playtested" it.
Please stop!!! This is why game devs push out mediocre games.

Honestly, the part i liked the most was the co-op game mode. Emissary was my favorite part of smash bros brawl and seeing something akin to that finally making a return put a smile on my face.
The more I watch this the more nostalgia I feel. It’s like combining lots of retro game systems into one new game

Super excited to see this being developed. Seems like they know exactly what the casual and competitive Smashers want (especially after seeing that Moonwalk clip!)
The co-op roughlike mode sold me actually! The combat looks great and I am excited for it too but having something I can play with my partner working together means a lot.
Yeah same here with that, looks like a nod to subspace Eminsary from Brawl.
Why Smash got rid of that mode I’ll never know but it’ll be so fun to do that with friends doing couch Co-op or with randoms online.
Hope the game delivers & comes to consoles.
@CaliburXL99 Yay! I had a blast with that as a kid and really enjoyed the story, even with it being nothing crazy.
@@jamalgs3388 notjust that, but I feel like Subspace was a good way for new players to understand the essence of Smash.
I once had a friend who was quite experienced in traditional fighting games, but he didn't know how to play a platform fighter. All the movement stuff and recovery was hard for him to understand. So we played through the SE in Brawl, and after that he was suddenly good at this. Even in other Smash titles that were not as broken as Brawl.
Immediately wishlisted on Steam. This checks so many boxes. Great trailer and I hope this game does well!
This reminds me of another smash-like indie game called Kerfluffle. It's looking pretty sick, great to see more exploration of that design and the combat mechanics.

This is amazing you all have opened a door to what these type of games have been missing. This is one of the reasons Multiverse wasnt around for to long. Players got bored with only pvp we want modes to just enjoy with our friends online. Extra points for going with a larger party size. Setting max party sizes of 3 is very limiting
This is the first thing I saw when opening TH-cam, and it looks very promising and a lot of fun.
This has got loads of potential right here, excited to see where its headed in the future

Yeah it is. There was another platform fighter they tried getting funded but it never took off, so I'm glad to see they're trying again with this game.

This game passes that test. The microspacing and ledge play look brilliant, and the midair mind games look like exactly what I've been looking for in a platform fighter!
I was sold the moment I saw moonwalking. I'm not even a Falcon/Dorf player, but I want to see BizarroFlame and S2J work their magic with that stylish character!

1:46-1:50 was all I needed to see. Will absolutely be buying this day 1. Now we just need a tipper character like Marth and a traditional spacie with a shine, lazer, etc and it will be amazing. Not even Rivals has a true-to-form spacie yet.

Both true statements.Wish the devs the best though! Not a game id play or an original concept but most games arent these days. Its what they can do to differentiate themselves within an established genre.
The art direction does feel a lot safe, but good execution can hold it up. Wish it felt a bit more punchy though.
Honestly, with the attention span of most people these days i wouldn't waste a bunch of time on character development and art direction. If the game plays well and the netcode is great they've at least got a foundation for greatness.

Hey can the devs see this? FINALLY! A worthy platform game! Everything looks solid! Games looks fast as melee has a beautiful aesthetic. Cool looking characters and moves and the KOs aren't just fly off screen explode in to colors. You brought in Screen KOs. You have some smash but you also have your own unique style. Im hyped about this. Also no offense i thought this was going to be a game with just furry characters but was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully in an alt skin the spear wielder can remove the cowl. She looked cool. I feel in my very soul this will be that game that's equal to smash. Competitive Goofy and fun.Godspeed in your development. Keep GOING!!! Sorry to weeb out but GANBATTE!!!!!

The game looks lovely from mechanics to ascetics my only ask is that seeing as this game has supers that there is at least one utility super that doesn’t just kill or deal insane damage

Am I the only one who thinks the devs chose the wrong time to reveal this game? It doesn't look bad, but there's no way in hell that it's going to be successful because Rivals 2 is just gonna force it into obscurity.
This game looks really refreshing to see. This isn’t gonna just a “party game”, like Nintendo is desperately trying to make Smash out to be. We’ll finally have a game to sweat it out to and utilise the combos and technicalities this game has to offer to the maximum degree. This is a game to def keep a look out for. So excited!
