I would’ve thought that Brad May’s goal in OT would’ve been #1, especially given that RJ’s call (“MAY DAY! MAY DAY!”) was HIS best ever! At least May made the top 5!
Great compilation....thank you! Just wondering about the criteria for your rankings. Pominville's shorthanded OT game 5 game winner/series winner for the 2006 Eastern Conference SemiFinals should be way higher than 71, both for the goal itself and the impact it had on the season. One of the most iconic goals in team history. "Now do you believe? Now do you believe? These guys are good.....scary good!"
Agree, but clips from that era aren't easy to find/edit into a yt vid. Sad, but I'm greatful to have yt as a hockey library that I could only dream of 20 years ago!(I had LOTS of 6 hr vhs tapes recorded of TV broadcasts)
Game 1 1998 vs Mtl Overtime goal by Sanderson is not even on this list. . . you're very Eichel heavy . No Rene Robert in overtime vs the Flyers in the '75 Stanley Cup Finals either. . .ouch .
Dude was a monster, he threw up a casual 76 goals and 140ish points in I believe the 1991-92 season (same season Gretzky had 92 and 212 points). LaFontaine had monster numbers that year too. That was a hell of a 1st Line.
Missing: 1989 Adams Division semi-final Game 1: Pierre Turgeon steals puck from Glenn Wesley then roasts Reggie Lemelin with backhand lifter. Mike Robitaille described Turgeon's deke as a "zip-a-dee-do".
Very good goal video, but IMHO many of the Sabres actual Greatest goals are missing… Robert OT in Montreal, Robert in the Fog, any Gare OT winner, Dave Hannan, Drury with :07 to go…and not one by Rick Martin or Rene Robert? I know earlier years video is harder to find, but maybe change this list to Top 100 Prettiest Sabres Goals of all-time.
Hold the fuck on…THE Pominville goal, to beat Ottawa (the #1 seed) in 5 games, shockingly, in OT, walk off, series winning goal was NUMBER 71???!!!! Idk who made this list but they really don’t know much about Sabres Hockey. I’m not saying it’s #1, but if you polled Sabres fans, it’s probably top 10 and if not, it’s definitely 1000% top 20. But #71?!?!!!!!! Wtf
It bc they chose to use clips from broadcasts other than empire/msg. I had the same thought as I watched the 3rd highlight I know the rj call exists, but they used cbc or a national broadcast for. My guess is it was easier/quicker to find the clips they wanted. Too bad, but I'm biased. Give me a 12 hr vid of every rj goal call, and I'd watch it repeatedly!😊
Alot of the goals were from a video I made and used to sell at the Walden Flea Market. Someone who bought it uploaded to youtube. Also #74 was not a goal
WHERE IS JACQUES RICHARD GOAL AFTER HE TOOK THE FACEOFF TO THE RIGHT OF JERRY DESJARDINS AND TOOK IT THE LENGTH OF THE FORUM TO BEAT KEN DRYDEN IN FRONT OF THOSE CIGARETTE SMOKING FROGS? PURE BEAUTY.
VANEKS GOAL IN BOSTON WHERE HE PASSES TO HIMSELF OFF THE RIGHT BOARDS AND BREAKS IN AND SCORES ON BREAKAWAY .NEXT TIME ASK FANS INSTEAD OF THROWING THE CRUMB EICHEL IN 49 TIMES.
R.I.P. Rick Jeanneret❤🕊️
this is just a Mogilny and Eichel highlight reel....and I love it
Surprised that Ennis wasnt #1. Simply the greatest goal I've ever seen a Sabre score, in my opinion.
Really surprised the Ryan o Riley ot winner when he was falling down isn’t on here, great vid tho
That was a beauty! I completely forgot about that goal :(
The Afinogenov goal would of been #1 for me but wtf do I know. Great video btw I enjoyed this very much.
I also think his goal against the Rangers was a thing of beauty.
I would’ve thought that Brad May’s goal in OT would’ve been #1, especially given that RJ’s call (“MAY DAY! MAY DAY!”) was HIS best ever! At least May made the top 5!
I cant even criticize this list, ill just appreciate the work you did. Best fan base in hockey
Lafontaine's pass on the "May Day" goal...
Oh. My. Goodness.

Great pick for #1.
Sanderson was my favorite (non-goalie) player to watch for the 98-99 season.
Having Leino on that list is an insult.
Tim Connolly was was a human highlight reel at times…😃
THIS WAS AWESOME!!! Thanks for creating and sharing this!
Ok I’m a big Sabres fan and I’m paused at number 23 and I cannot believe satan isn’t in this yet.. smh
This is just what I needed
What about the 70s Numberr 11
I enjoyed every second!
50 years 100 goals ... you show Cody Hodgson and not one goal of Martin Robert or Gare?
Agree, but clips from that era aren't easy to find/edit into a yt vid. Sad, but I'm greatful to have yt as a hockey library that I could only dream of 20 years ago!(I had LOTS of 6 hr vhs tapes recorded of TV broadcasts)
Would love to see this updated
Lafontaine was just incredible!
No Rick Martin? No Rene Robert? No Dave Hannan?
that was great Buy May Day will always be number 1
Game 1 1998 vs Mtl Overtime goal by Sanderson is not even on this list. . . you're very Eichel heavy . No Rene Robert in overtime vs the Flyers in the '75 Stanley Cup Finals either. . .ouch .
Surprise I didn’t see the goal from Chris Drury Where he put it in point two seconds left in the game to tie it up in the playoffs in 2006
Excellent video
How is Villie Lieno on this list?
mogilny what a beast

Please do an all RJ 100 goals.
You gotta do one of these vids with the Pens👀
Good video no Martin no Robert so you kiddies missed the glory days but l liked it.....l love hearing Ted Darling calls
MAY DAY MAY DAY MAY DAY MAY DAY

Goals 74, 62, 52, 47, 46, 43, 26 and 19 were announced by The Pantomime Commentator.😁
#17 should be #1 for the celli alone
Goal #21 was not Presley. It was Ken Priestlay.
Watched this entire video bricked. We had so much aura back then
We're you already going to do this, or did I come up with it?
ruuttu is misspelled. Also, #21 is Priestlay, not Presley.
I’m at #86 so far and there has been exactly 1 goal called by Rick Jeanneret. Wtf kinda Sabres highlight reel is this anyway?

Clip #71 definitely should have been R.J.'s call
Well 40 years of great hockey 10 years of shear disappointment
Where do you find all these clips?
I found them all on youtube. It requires a lot of searching.
@@koivu11huet39 Nice compilation - thanks for it. A shame the Gilbert Perreault footage isn't the greatest quality.
Alot of the goals were from a video I made and used to sell at the Walden Flea Market. Someone who bought it uploaded to youtube. Also #74 was not a goal
Not enough of R.J. making the goal calls.
I was actually at the game that Ennis scored that goal. What a beautifully ugly goal
No Perreault 500th, Derek Plante, Drury/ Afinogenov against the Rangers Mogilnys 1st
Please remove the Leino goal. He was a thorough disappointment and definitely did not score at a Top 100 goal.
He even sinked them in 2011.
I’m sorry but Connolly easily has 3 of the Top 10
#73 really😂
heard Eichel a lot made me sick
Stopped watching when I saw the Pomminville Ottawa OT winner at 71.
Surprised they've even scored 100.
The order of these goals makes no sense. Also: remove any goal involving Eichel. Thanks.
