The Sony Reon Pocket 5 is a wearable device that adjusts your body temperature based on your environment. It fits on the back of your neck and uses a thermo module and five sensors (three for temperature, one for humidity, and one for motion) to keep you comfortable whether you're moving, standing, or sitting.
The Reon Pocket 5 provides five cooling levels and four warming levels, making it useful in both hot and cold environments. It works automatically with the included Reon Pocket Tag, which senses external conditions and communicates with the neck device. Without the tag, the Reon Pocket 5 still functions by detecting your body temperature but reacts to changes instead of anticipating them.
The Reon Pocket 5 can be controlled with Sony's new Reon Pocket App, available for iOS and Android. You can adjust the temperature levels via Bluetooth, making it convenient to use anywhere, including while hiking. The device offers up to 17 hours of battery life.
The Reon Pocket 5 is available for pre-order at £139 (about $170 / AU$260) on Sony’s website and will ship on May 15. The Reon 5T package includes the device, a Reon Pocket Tag, and a white neckband. A beige neckband is also available for £25 if you prefer a different color.
