Thank you Doctor. I have obpi and you are the first that I ever heard say that the diaphragm can be affected. I'm very glad to hear this because my parents used to tell me
that the discomfort I was feeling in the left side of my diaphragm was just my imagination. I have had that physical discomfort all of my life. I also have some sharp pain
in the left side of my back when I try to extend my left arm out sideways away from me. Thank you again. This video was very informative and helpful.

Hi Doctor, My daughter is 45 days old now and she is suffering with Erbs Palsy (BPI) which occurred during normal delivery time by using forceps. When we checked with doctor she said it's a minor issue and it's an Erbs Palsy which will be cure by 3 to 4 weeks.
My daughter right arm was not moving however we saw his fingers and wrist are moving. She can't lift his right arm and she always want to face the left side.
Doctor please tells me how to cure this & what is the treatment for this issue and how much time it will take to recover. We also don't even know if it's major or minor injury.
Currently we are going for Physiotherapy treatment for my daughter as suggested by children pediatric. Physiotherapy doctor doing Cupping therapy,Taping therapy,Electric stimulation and normal ex-crises. whatever physiotherapy doctor is doing is it safe or not? Can you please suggest what kind of treatment need to follow?
Please suggest sir I am waiting for your response

best thing is to wait till she is 90 days (3 months) and then re assess.
      Therapy is safe

Hi, Umar Basha, I'm Roquib and I'm in the same condition what you have faced a year ago. My daughter is 33 days old and she is diagnosed as OBPI (erb's palsy) in her left hand. She can only move her fingers and wrist (very little) but can not move her elbow and shoulder like your daughter. As a father, It's really difficult to see her in such condition. Since, you have been through this condition, I think, you can suggest me the necessary things from your experience. I am giving my email and whatsapp/viber no below. Since, I don't any means to contact you, if you kindly knock me anywhere (emai/WhatsApp/viber) would be helpful for me. I wish, you understand my condition as a father and I will wait for your response. Thanks.

Thanks for your comment. As a general rule, if by 3 months the child cannot bend the elbow (against gravity), urgent orthopedic consult should be done for possible early intervention

Hello Dr, what can somebody do to a 4 months old that has elbs palsy for quick recovery?

    • @Pediatricorthopedic

As a general rule, recovery happens by itself. Family can do therapy to avoid contracture.

Doctor , you know that the first 6 months are the most important in recovery , why you do not suggest physiotherapy in first 6 months
