How amazing Juan! I had a career in Level One surgery at a major university hospital whether to bring warmth to a patient of trauma or to calm the patient or their deaf family members. Learning from illustrated graphics didn't help me learn. I thought as years went on maybe I'd somehow use my hands visiting deaf patients as I'm in fairly early retirement. You are an awesome teacher of crochet as you don't rush through something or in teaching you don't talk at your viewers. You speak with us as equals. That's so important. I so enjoy runing in to watch! I've been crocheting over 50+ now and now you are teaching us sign language. I can't wait to see where you take us and how your channel will grow in subscribers!
I used to sing. Oh, how I love Jesus at church in sign language. It’s crazy how much you forget when you don’t use it every day. I do wish the premier vivid roles were bigger. Hope you’re having a good morning.❤
Maybe you are too young to remember the Carol Burnet Show, but at the end of every show she tugged on her ear to tell her grandmother hello. I always looked for her to do that. Also squeezing the pickle I thought of Mr. Whipple and said “Don’t squeeze the pickle!” Thanks Juan!

My mystery bag from Mary Maxim was in a large clear plastic zipper bag. In addition, I bought mine in November and the purchase automatically put me in a drawing for some great prizes. And, I won the big prize! I got a $200 gift certificate and my choice of an afghan kit. I was in heaven-and super surprised!!!🎉🎉🎉 I really think the chenille yarn will open up when washed. I love that you got that! (MM’s mystery bags are really a good deal!) As for the Royal yarn, I got four burnt orange ones and three gold ones. I am using it now and like it. I was disappointed that the colors were designated by number rather than name.

Hello Juan! I've been lurking on your channel for a couple of months and am loving everything you are bringing. I was so excited to find that you are a CODA and am loving watching your lives with you and lovely Wilma. My former career was as an ASL interpreter so I am loving that you are teaching some sign language here! I am on the west coast so we of course have a different sign for birthday (middle finger to chin, then chest) which apparently has the most variations of all of the signs. You are blowing up the crocheting TH-cam and I am here for it! I love the integrity, but remember to give yourself some grace and understanding as I know you would give to others. We used ASL for our students with hearing and speech challenges. One of the teaching assistants there was fluent in ASL and would give us weekly training for it. Thank you for teaching us to sign. I had a deaf uncle when I was a child and he taught me the alphabet and a few other signs so we could talk. That was about 68 years ago and I still remember and occasionally sign, home alone, but I remember him. I want to learn more.

Love all your acquisitions! I especially love the sign language portion.🤟 I taught both of my kids to sign when they were tiny babies, even though they are both hearing. It enabled them to communicate with us earlier than their verbal, language skills developed. It kept them from getting frustrated trying to get their message across to us and I was so thankful for that. I bought many people the book that I had been gifted and they loved it, too. It came in handy when I wanted to remind my kids to say 'thank you' or 'I'm sorry' by just signing it. I hope this doesn't sound insensitive, but I really do love ASL for so many reasons. I've always wanted to learn how to interpret. My 20 yr old daughter still remembers it and also learned the alphabet. She wants to be a nurse and I told her that this skill can come in handy for people who aren't hearing. Long note, but just wanted to let you know I appreciate you! 🤟😊👍🧶

Here in South Africa we had 11 official languages until September last year when Sign Language was added as the 12th official language. So I am super excited to learn it. I was so happy to hear you were teaching sign. My niece’s little boy is only ten months, but hearing impaired. My daughter was fluent in ASL, so I know some but she’s not around so you will be a big help. Love it. We need to know “all the things” in sign! That burgundy matched your jacket!

Just got home from Walmart 😲I ended up with 5 skeins of yarn - 2 Red Heart Super Saver for $3.38 and 3 Mainstay Yarn for $2.99 all 7 ozs. WOW !! Loved the mystery boxes and OMG that pickle. LOL So darn cute. I would love to do some Amigurumi. Someday. When I was a little kid we had a neighbor hood boy who was deaf. We learned the alphabet so we could talk to him. I was ok with it - had to go slow hehehe, but my sister was really good at it. Then in my 20's, I tended bar and some of the customers were deaf and I could talk to them a bit, again they had to slow but we did it. I still remember a lot of the letters and I'm sure if I tried I could pick it back up. So, yes, it is wonderful to learn words and not just the letters. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” … I have NEVER been able to make a good cup of coffee at home … even after all these years. Best coffee is at Walker Brothers Pancake House with their decaf, fresh cream and Dunkin Donuts decaf with cream, if it’s a fresh pot. Starbucks is always good for the “from-frou” coffee. On the plus size, I don’t drink coffee that much, so it’s not a big deal. Continued thanks and great appreciation to you for all that you do. I’m working my way through all your videos because I’ve missed a lot of the middle ones.

Just got home from Walmart 😲I ended up with 5 skeins of yarn - 2 Red Heart Super Saver for $3.38 and 3 Mainstay Yarn for $2.99 all 7 ozs. WOW !! Loved the mystery boxes and OMG that pickle. LOL So darn cute. I would love to do some Amigurumi. Someday. When I was a little kid we had a neighbor hood boy who was deaf. We learned the alphabet so we could talk to him. I was ok with it - had to go slow hehehe, but my sister was really good at it. Then in my 20's, I tended bar and some of the customers were deaf and I could talk to them a bit, again they had to slow but we did it. I still remember a lot of the letters and I'm sure if I tried I could pick it back up. So, yes, it is wonderful to learn words and not just the letters. Hi Juan and Momma Wilma! Ooo! The Neptune green would make such a great accent for the gray. The burgundy/mulberry wine was beautiful. The #6 fluffy would make a good hat. The arctic gives me chills. You got a great mystery boxes!
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” … I have NEVER been able to make a good cup of coffee at home … even after all these years. Best coffee is at Walker Brothers Pancake House with their decaf, fresh cream and Dunkin Donuts decaf with cream, if it’s a fresh pot. Starbucks is always good for the “from-frou” coffee. On the plus size, I don’t drink coffee that much, so it’s not a big deal.
