You're always saying how it would take hours and hours longer to complete something so complex, but I'm sure a lot of your viewers would love to watch you for hours create an entire track - myself included - if possible. There is so much to learn.
Just found your channel recently and you are by far the best most charismatic helpful music production channel I have seen and you explain things in such an easy to understand way. Thanks so much, you really help me out in my production, keep doing things the way you do!
Loved this one Will. It's clear to me that getting a 'good mix down' is really just experience in the ears. You had your mix sounding pretty damn polished and balanced just by fading each track up to where it 'needed to be' and used minimal EQ apart from some high passes to avoid the bass. Well done!
That Auto-pan really did a lot for the groove and making it sound a bit more complex. Nicely done. It really is a complicated genre to really get right...it deserves more credit for the skill it requires. Great vid as always. Thank you!
Just came across your channel Will couple days ago. The productions you do are exactly the type of Music I want to learn how to create I just signed up at a Local College to start studying Music, after seeing your videos I could probably have learnt what I needed to from you, from home, never mind. Sure it wont hurt to get Professional Education either way. Thanks for what you do Will, the videos are brilliant and very helpful, keep up the great work !!
Would really like to see a f/up to this on how you added some of the nuances and particularly how you changed that bass for the final version. But loved this ❤❤❤
@edm tips it looks like you're adding a side chain compressor to each track/element one by one, with the same settings (release etc). To save processing power (and for elegance!) could you create an aux bus with the side chain triggered by the same source and route all the tracks you want side chained to the one aux?
Hey Will. Soooo it turns out that Above & Beyond actually made this track themselves not that long ago but still after you made this. Its OceanLab - Satellite (2023 Progessive Mix). Can't believe this actually happened! The first time I heard it I was like... "wait, edmtips Above & Beyond collab?"
My pleasure!! Glad you liked them and stoked you play them i your car.🙌🏻 Maybe I should try this too 😁 Thanks for watching nad supporting the channel ☺️
Another banger my friend! I'd love to see an "in the style of" Ian Pooley, Inland Knights, Miguel Migs, JT Donaldson, Alexander East. I miss those 90's/2000's vibes. Not sure anyone else is really interested in those names, but can't hurt to ask. Anyway, thanks for being an inspiration to us all!
Hi. Great video, as always. Just wondering what is the plug-in called you used for the piano? I know it’s kontact, but can’t seem to find it anywhere. Cheers!
@EDM Tips I am very interested in integrating these tools into my productions. A bit late to the party! An insight tutorial on how to bring in and manipulate samples/ vocals etc... would be educational for those of us who have not yet ventured with loopcloud & splice. Keep up the great work.
Amen brother 🙏🏼 thanks for all these trance tutorials lately, always learning something new! Have you got signed trance stracks yourself? Seems like you do enjoy the genre a lot
@@EDMTips thank you.🙌 You changed my mind about music production. I really hope, you will continue making great video lessons with EDM Tips. Thanks!!! 😌👍
Thank you to answer, by the way i like to hear your opinion on our tracks(its me and a cousin of mine)! We started to produce a year ago and its always good to have the opinion of a pro/teacher...search for Andikter on TH-cam, Spotify, etc...
Heey Will, Thanks for this! I followed along in Studio One - quite a demanding task since workflows are so different between Live and Studio One :-) Don't have Serum either but you indirectly thought me how to work with basic synth stuff in Vital. First electronic track - But the last!
Bit late to the party on this one. However, I love this tutorial, been doing it over the past couple of nights. On the EDM/Trance comment, I’d say it’s definitely more trance than EDM, but with a slower BPM. To me EDM is David Guetta, Avicii and Calvin Harris, which isn’t for me, but it’s all about personal taste. Anyway, great stuff 👍
EDM is just a hypernym and trance a particular genre of it. What you mean is probably "house" which is also part of the EDM universe and even the most popular genre within. Hence the attribution. :) Anyway, that's just for your understanding but I am glad you enjoyed the video! 🙌
Hey will, I've got a song recommended for you to try out - coles memories by pyramid. It's off a dj film (we are your friends) I can imagine it's difficult. Cheers Thomas
They slightly changed their style they make mew music mostly for theirfamous festival ABGT every year , and honestly their tracks are in another world. Love them
Would you consider a remake of Aaron Hibell type of music? One track that comes to mind is running up that hill... really would love to understand how he combines monastery sounds with trance! Start a patreon community so we can pay you for recommendations!!!! Happy to help you run it for free!!! You are the best music production youtuber I've ever come by!
Amen Ra Will! I have fallen out of favor with modern Above & Beyond but I very much enjoyed watching your work through of this Dance Pop track. Sorry, but this is not Trance to my mature ears.

Hey Will. I loved seeing how much you were enjoying this one. Thanks for these great videos. 🙏
I am blown away. As usual amazing!!
Thank you, Marthy, glad you liked it! 🙂
Yay! I love it. More with vocal examples. Vocals help to create other genres as well. So adding vocals can teach me to create pop or r and b etc
Glad you liked it! Keep your eyes peeled, I am working on more videos on vocals as we speak 😎😉
easily the best channel on youtube mate
