This is a pyramid scheme. No real value is made, only way to get your money out is to get other people's "investment". Preventing people from "investing" is preventing them from becoming victim of the scam.

The problem is the guy said you were "scaring people away" cause he wants people to invest in something blindly who don't know any better. Because there are people who are naive enough to think something like this is possible and will read that at first glance and dump money into something that won't be possible. You coming out and saying this is a scam is putting your educated opinion out there based on games and other overly ambitious projects that have failed and burned "investors" in the past. As soon as a company steps into the world of game development there have been too many empty promises from both indie and AAA devs, so unless something has hard evidence that it is possible, as soon as they ask for money it goes towards the side of being a scam.

i think that this guy had the same experience like me with bitcoin (back when bitcoin came out and was dirt cheap i thought about investing couple bucks but thought it would be a waste of money) and know he wasted a ton of money for this in hope it will blow up like bitcoin did and when people say its a scam hes getting scared about his money.

I don't think BigFry his opinion is "educated". As I've followed E2 for a little over 8 months now and seen his videos, a lot of things BigFry said in the previous video as well are said due to being mis or underinformed and not even understanding the thing to the fullest. (So no educated opinion). I'm in no way trying to defend E2. But It's a little sad to see all this judging and throwing out such heavy words without even understanding things to the fullest.
I've seen the same with games being in Beta and Alpha, BigFry playing 2-3 games and making a video of how the game works. While half of the information is wrong... Yet people believe it blindly, being just as "naive" as people in the comment section call the E2 supports "naive".
The fact that people fall for this and Dreamworld and get BUTTHURT when people know it's a scam is a little sad lmao.

This poor, poor dude. A classic case of someone doing their "research" meaning, listening to people and websites that confirm their beliefs. This poor dude. I'm a game/app developer who has first hand knowledge in the areas he's talking about. I built an app with MapBox, it IS basically like Google maps, it's map data with an API that you can incorporate into an application or website. I made a VR app in Unity with it so I could walk around cities. I worked on some VR applications back in 2016, and I remember all these "smart investors" saying that VR was going to be massive by 2020, it wasn't, it's a niche, but there were stories that Ready Player One metaverses were coming. They ain't, we're so far away from that stuff. Then there's the blockchain, oh boy, this shit has people so confused though they don't know it. I'm not going to go there, but people do not get what blockchains are, and they are not magic solvers of all problems, they're mostly snake oil tokens that make people feel warm and fuzzy. A lot of people are going to lose their cash, I guarantee it.

And if it were to happen, this isn't the team that would pull it off. Even the higher profile names he kept mentioning aren't on the actual dev team. They're just listed as advisers. The production lead's biggest credit is an expansion for The Guild 2. The dev lead's biggest credential is a mediocre indy game and the fourth best terrain generation tool on the Unity asset store.

@@atticusfelton3151 I was just about to say that it was a similar controversy, I was dumb and invested in RAW when I first saw about it(invested about $23) and was truly hoping for a game like it. It showed fancy graphics something captivating, but not really where your money would got to. Luckily I nested through kickstarter at the time and they caught on to what they were doing and stop their kickstarter and refunded everyone back their money.

Not all crypto is usable to purchase things with, that's why dogecoin shot up exponentially recently as Elon Musk claimed he would be utilising it for his businesses. At the end of the day I wouldn't invest in this "game". But I wouldn't think that I'm above anyone who does, especially if I had a platform such as Big Fry as my opinion could have an impact on the value. If it does well then power to the people who did and if it's bums out well, that's a bit funny.

They really just don't want to admit they made a mistake by investing in something that isn't even a real thing yet. This is the worst form of gambling because even in a casino, you're in a controlled environment. In a fucking crowd funded video game, it's the wild west. The developer can just fucking bounce and you won't see anything for your contribution. I will never contribute to any sort of crowd funding because of these kinds of people.

Well there are no "backers" as it was never a kickstarter game but there were early adopters of the super shitty alpha. Also its not exactly the same when there was an actual company working on it who replaced him when he left.
I always felt people were too dramatic about Dean Hall, honestly he should have never been the figurehead of the standalone as putting together an Arma 2 mod does not qualify you to lead a multi-million dollar project with the playerbase and cultural influence DayZ had. Most of his ideas were impractical and just plain bad so him leaving was probably a good thing for the game as a whole.

To his point they have made a legitimate business selling digital pictures on line which you can buy/trade/sell.. that IS a legitimate platform. But these tiles are worth ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the real world. They only have value within the game itself. The scam comes in where the developers say that they have all these amazing gameplay functions and capabilities that will make tiles worth something to the everyday person on the open market. BUT if the developers are not able to make these promises a reality - or have lied about their intentions - then you will never have these tiles worth anything and thus been scamed! its really simple

Yup, me too. I own crypto and I have also studied blockchain technology (I am a computer engineer). Fascinating tech with huge potential in many areas, for example secure contracts. But I usually don't follow the crypto community, because many of them feel like cultists. To them, anything built with a blockchain is automatically wonderful and it will solve the world's problems, end poverty, end sickness, bring world peace.
