I bought a new regulator for my 98 Lexus ES300 from Japan. After conversion I was able to secure a new regulator from Toyota. I am so very happy with your video it was really instrumental in helping me get the job done. The cost for a brand new one ended up to be a 148.00 Canadian thank you so much your video is very helpful
I was at the junkyard today pulling out a used regulator on a Lexus ES. I couldn't figure out an easy way to remove the window. Your video was very helpful for that. Thank you.
@@kennysmith6824 taking a window out of a Lexus ES300 is the easy part taking the regulator out with the motors easy too but what these videos don't show you how to reattach the new motor to the regulator or the new regulator to the motor
@@JM-AUTO you know all these videos show you how to take the windows out and The Regulators with the motor but what it doesn't show you how to reattach another motor to the regulator or dispatch the regulator from the motor
awesome video-THANK YOU! easiest to understand and best video of any I have seen-excellent! (One thing I will now add-IF you install the new regulator, put your window back in and think you are finished, WAIT-be SURE to see if your door will close! my glass hit the top of the door-after an hour of trying to loosen the three bolts and tilting it different ways to no avail, I went to a body shop-they showed me two "stop" adjustments at the top of the door (covered with two clear pieces of plastic) those nuts adjust how high the window goes before it stops-I loosened the nuts and slid the stops down slightly and voila! the window stopped before going up too high! obviously if it doesn't go all the way up slide the stops up!
Perfect video for the drivers side front door regulator on my 2001 Lexus ES300. The details were just what I was searching for to repair my broken window regulator.
This a great video! So thorough and thoughtful the way you show everything! I wish more people would take the time the way you do! Thank you so much. Definitely subscribed👍🏽😁
Gonna go to the junk yard right now to find one since my went bad. This video is gonna help a lot when I remove it. They don’t sell any aftermarket regulators for the two front doors for the Lexus ES300 2000. They only sell aftermarket for the rear two doors. The new oem one cost about $250 from a Lexus dealership.
Same thing happened to me. I am going to the junkyard tomorrow. Hopefully they have one for my 2000 Lexus as well. Hope you had good luck with your find.
@@stepheng5843 I did find one. It’s already replaced and working now!!! Thing about junkyard cars is they don’t have a battery and I didn’t have any power source with me to move the window down so I broke the window to take it out from the junk yard one. So you might need to bring your own power source to move the window up or down depending on where you need to get the bolts aligned with the holes to take em out
Thank you so much for the information. I subscribed. This was very detailed and right to the point. I appreciate the help because I have a 2000 Lexus ES300 with the same problem.
Muchos Gracias Mi Amigo. You helped me to see the details of what I am about to have to do. Your video was very good. No bull shitting and to the point and very informative. God Bless you my friend. New Subscriber here.
I just finished this job on my 99 es300 the issue im having with the new regulator is the wibdow bounces when i send it to go up on auto. It goes to the top then comes back down halfway. When i try to reset it by holding the switch it then wont move. Maybe i need to grease it.
These videos are fine as long as you attach the motor with the regulator at the same time unfortunately you can't do that you have to buy the regulator separate or the motor separate and none of the videos show you the way to disconnect the motor from the regulator or put it back on if you notice in all the videos it already shows the motor attached to the regulator well that is what happens when you replace it
Been trying to figure this out the LH rear motor in my 2000 Lexus is a Toyota 85710-330990 but the only motors i can find anywhere on the internet are the 85710-60110 model. are they compatible?
if you have a 97-2001 lexus es300 this is for the pn for the rear left 85710-33090. and you can find this one on ebay, I saw a few today, thanks for watching.
The only reason to take out the window or the regulator is if they're broken and if your window has cracks on it or if your window is moving up and down very slowly you it's your regulator butt if it doesn't move at all like in my case and doesn't make any kind of noise that means it's your motor
take out the panel, take out the metal cover and then you see the 3 bolts on the alluminum part on the window, that part that slides over the regulator up and down when you operate the window, loose the 3 bolts to adjust the window. hope this helps. and thanks for coming to my channel.
It's not necessary to take out the window or the regulator if you're just having problems with the motor and you can pull the motor out through the speaker hole just take off the speaker and should come right out
What none of these videos shows to complication involved with attaching the motor to the regulator because once you remove the cover on the motor to remove it from the regulator there's a spool inside it there's a spool inside the wound up with the cables to raise and lower the window window once you remove it it pops loose so none of the video show you how to prevent this from happening because when you install the new motor it's going to have you got to put the spool and the sprocket that's attached to the motor in the right place or it won't work none of these replacement window motor regulator video show you how to do that that and and that sucks because that's the only way you're going to get it right it right it right
If you notice in all these videos it shows the motor already attached to the regulator but in reality that's not what happens when you disconnect the motor from the regulator there's a spool of cable that pops loose from the sprocket that attaches from the window if you don't get that aligned or you let that spool pop loose it unwinds and you'll never be able to get it on they're properly so what the video should show is how to dispatch the spool from the motor and the spool of cable that drives the windows without it popping loose in the cable coming Unwound from the spool none of the video show you how to do that
When you buy a regulator the motor does not come with it and it doesn't show you how to connect the motor to the regulator regulator regulator regulator
