Nice job my friend! Just used you video instructions to re-seat our 2017 Yamaha D2 Cowl that was custom painted by the previous owner but not seated correctly. Perfect! Thanks and God Bless!
Will be doing this this fall in prep to painting these panels. ???? What do you think about painting the under belly of these panels. This is not done in the TH-cam’s I have watched. Considering a chip guard product black. Ty. Really appreciate your fine tutorials on this cart
Thanks for all the great videos you do. Could you cover removing a Drive 2 body with factory installed lights? Just got a new 22 model and the wife Hates the matte finish. it's Atomic Flame but the one she saw at the track was gloss. my bad lol
Just unplug the lights while removing the body. Then with the body removed, you can get to the back side of the lights easily and remove the retaining clips that hold the lights in place.
If you jack the right rear up, gives a little more ground clearance. Also helps all the oil drain out. Dont forget to verify oil bolt has tiny washer still on it when reinstalling...good luck to all
Great video….Planning on removing the Bag Well to clean the inside of the cart. Any recommendations on cleaning solutions…I don’t have a pressure washer and am hesitant to spray water in there. Thanks
Take it to the car wash. We have power washed a ton of carts and never had any issues. Just leave it on the trailer when you wash it, when the belt is wet it will not want to move very well until it dries out.
To remove the rear body panels, you have to remove the bagwell first. So you have to remove the rear seat to remove the bagwell. Depending on the model of rear seat, most of them are fairly easy to remove by just removing the 4 or 6 bolts that attach the rear seat to the frame, and removing the seat as one assembly.
OEM colored bodies are almost impossible to get right now from Yamaha. Try to find a good local paint shop to paint your body. We have a couple body shops around here that will paint them for around $500 to $600.
That 10mm bolt on my 2021 fleet was NOT located their. Instead it was diectly below and behind the Yamaha front logo and not very accessible with the front tire on the cart. Otherwise took me 40 minutes including the top which i also had painted. Thanks for your expert advise. I also disconnected the reverse alarm which was a quick plug leading to a round alarm somewhat behind the front suspension. Frank@@PowerEquipmentMan
I assume you are talking about a drive2 quietech like the cart in the video? If so, to replace the battery it is easiest to remove the drivers side body panel and pull the battery out the side after disconnecting it and loosing the mounting bracket.
Great video. I've never even owed a golf cart before, but with the help of this video, I wouldn't be afraid to tackle this project.
Thanks for watching!

@@PowerEquipmentMan So I shouldn’t run into problems cleaning the mud and dirt off the bottom of my cart with a spray garden hose…correct? Thanks
Correct
Great Video!! 👍👍👍

Can you steal remove back body with a back seat on cart ? Or do you have remove back seat ??

Do you know where to colored front cowls and bodys for G29's / Drive 2's?
OEM colored bodies are almost impossible to get right now from Yamaha. Try to find a good local paint shop to paint your body. We have a couple body shops around here that will paint them for around $500 to $600.
What in your opinion is the total time to remove all the panels on the 2021 drive 2. Thanks Awesome Video. Frank
I can do it in less than 15 minutes.
@@PowerEquipmentMan The custom painter who is going to 2 tone my cart wants $300 just for removal and replacement.
Sorry. That includes the Top also.
That seems pretty high. Are they painting the top too? Because it does not need to be removed to just remove the body.

Do you have to take off the body panels to change battery?
You can just remove the sound deadener panel between the battery and the muffler.
How do you replace a battery in Yamaha golf cart?

Is this the same as a g29 drive 2 or is the g29 a newer model?
Yes this is a G29 drive 2. This is the newest model currently made by Yamaha. The model before this was the G29 drive 1 from 2007-2016.
