Light Lure Fishing for Chub - Robbie Northman Robbie enjoys some summer Chub Fishing with an adapted NED Goby and other light and ultra light lures to attract the predatory river species.
Little tip for clearing a path through nettles, crush them sideways left & right they won't spring back & will keep growing & your arms stay lump free & cool.
Hi, yes the goby are super bouyant, designed for ned fishing I keep the hook size small generally a size 1 or 2 offset. You can experiment and rig them line through with various hook styles too. Retrieve is simple, high stick the rod with shakes for twitches. Low stick the rod with pulses to walk the dog. 🙂🎣
I like yor clip it is my pleasure to enjoy watchhing
Dude, love those chubs and the way You show it! Nice job! 💪🤙

Great bit of sport 👍
Cheers, topwater chub are just awesome for short sessions 🙂
Again, nice vid. But you really should give more info about the rod you’re using as well as the braid and leader.
What rod would you recommend in the “new” SG4 series for this type of fishing?
How i can find that lure? Tell me name how to search?
Hi Robbie, So do the goby float? Or are you just keeping the rod rip high and reeling fast to keep it on the surface?

I'd love that, I'm a fair old drive from any consistent fishing. Pick up the odd one each season 😅
