After rebuilding my crash damaged VW Golf R i modified it to Stage 2 it now ran 414bhp. Ive been curious to race it against my standard Lamborghini Gallardo. So i took all of my cars & some of @MalloryPerformance fleet to Everyman Racing in Leicester to race the 1/4 mile. The results were shocking!

Honestly can’t beat a golf, it’s been my favourite build after the S5, I think it’s just because it’s a car that most of us can afford and it’s so easy to modify and get good figures out of, loving the energy and positivity matey god bless 🙌

Hi Mat. I've followed you and watched every TH-cam upload since the beginning. What a journey! I don't know exactly why, but I think this is my favourite so far. Hey Matt, Epic content!!! appreciate the effort and funds put into this video for our enjoyment, I really waited for this.... as you know the Golf 7R is my favorite build. My thoughts/opinion below on every race...
The start ups before you left your unit was hilarious, the sound effect you put for the a45s was cool.
Drag race 1 - the Maserati definitely sounded better than the Mustang.
Drag race 2 - Good race for vehicles in the similar category of pricing... The Lambo and the mustang looked good together on the track.
Drag race 3 - I am sure everyone knew the A45s would smash the 140i it’s a given.
Drag race 4 - I knew the A45s would definitely beat the M2, that launch on the A45s is absolutely insane.
Drag race 5 - I personally feel the golf R would of beat the A45s on all races it’s just the driver of the A45s launches seemed to be slightly better.
Drag race 6 - 🙈 maybe the Lambo would have done better if it had it’s original springs and shocks..
Drag race 7 - The outcome I was hoping for... also your friend driving the golf R had the perfect launch.
Thanks again for this content, Hopefully the next race would be between the M4 vs the golf R... but before this happens the golf R would definitely beat the M4 on take off... 😁
