Fantastic evening take-off on RWY 22R into the Sunset bound for Munich Germany.
Nice views of New Jersey, the new Meadowlands Stadium including the U2 360 tour stage - they played there that night, Upper Manhattan including George Washingtone Bridge and then Upstate New York.
Fligh time to Munich that night was 7 hours and 12 minutes - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!
I love this plane so much! Almost cried when I heard they are discontinuing them. :(
dont worry you can still order that planes and they are still in service
they are out of production because the orders given for that type were finished and all orderd planes were produced
DragonLady895 you cannot order this plane anymore. It will not be produced again.
thank you for not adding music to this amazing clip. the plane done the singin, excellent.
Agree, some airplane videos have the music in the background for the entire video, ITS SO ANNOYING!😭
A340-600 is one of my favourites. Gotta love the long & slow takeoff. :)
You have captured the elegant and fantastic beauty that is one of the favorite things of my being alive in this universe! The mood of a dusty sunset takeoff .... that embryonic feeling of being encapsulated aboard a self-propelled craft of such power and independence .... soaring into the skies above our earth ... it never gets common to me, never loses it's romance, excitement, thrill or magic. I LOVE the sound of jets. It's like being in the womb again!!!! Coziest place to be is in a jetliner!
Gonna miss the A340... It has FOUR engines!
***** no it is out of production due to the fuel consumption and b777 competition
Actually it has 2 decks it has stairs down to lavarotory
+Lone Peak Ski Bum But I like the single decker quad-jets the most. That the 747 and A380 has 4 engines is still not the same...
I flyed one of these
You know why this video feels so good? Because you're leaving Newark. Leaving Newark is the most rewarding feeling in the world. You know....because it's Newark.
I have no words to describe the sunset. No matter how many times I watch this it is totally breathtaking
Nice that you zoomed at the Meadowlands Stadium (video 4min.15sec). Me an my wife were there just then enjoying U2 - 360' Tour concert. (Well, maybe the concert was already over during this flyby) Somehow this video took me back to that unforgettable night in my life.
I love how the A340 is bashed by so many and yet it is the only aircraft that can make the worlds longest non-stop flight.
Amazing video ! I miss being in an airplane !
Those ARE nice sounding engines. Thanks! Shouts to all you engine lovers!
Those Trent 500s have a calm sound
Easily the best take off video on youtube
Simply Beautiful.
Oh how I love that sound...peace of mind!!...yeah
MY FAVORITE AIRCRAFT
That "buzzing" noise from the engines that you hear when you sit in front of them is the main fan blades chopping up the air. Analogous to propellor blades if you were riding in a turboprop airplane. Man, how cool those engines sound as they rev up for takeoff and power down after takeoff. Glad to know they're other nerds like me who who pay attention to this stuff.
Its actually the fan blades going supersonic, which makes that low pitched buzz, the high pitched scream is probably the fan blades cutting the air
One of the BEST take-off videos I have ever seen!! Very few have taken going into the sunset. I really enjoyed it so much, thanks so much buddy, keep up the good work!
just stunning,thanks for posting
BRAVO!
I loved it when the Landing Lights were turned on! I got so excited and I wasn't even the one flying!
Thank you ... I felt like I was sitting inside ... very smooth and quiet takeoff.
Actually, the A340 - 500/600 are brilliant aircrafts. But fuel prices have killed four engines. Ask the people who fly them.
fuel prices are so low now, historically low. I don't buy this argument.
And low fuel prices mean twinjets are even cheaper. a 777-300ER does the job as good as an A340 or better no matter what.
I hate the A-340,it seems the sick brother of then747 :-/
The thing is, aircrafts like A350-900, 77L or 77W can do better than the A340 today as they consume less fuel and can fly further. It's probably why the A340 disappeared. But I agree, the -500/600 versions are probably some of my favourite aircrafts.
@@speedbird1598 it doesn't do the job better than an A340 when you lose and engine over the middle of the ocean ;-)
Fly was the most beautiful experience I've ever had in my life. Do not worry it's worth it to go through in life.
This is a fabulous video and I absolutely love it! I especially like the view of the parked planes in the background before the plane actually takes off as well as the all of the runway and terminal building lights. The view of the highway, freeway or interstate as the plane leaves the grouns is also awesome. Great job!
Nothing better then seeing a city from above at night! It amazing how big some cities are:)
WOW!!!What a beautiful dusk at NYC...Thx for sharing

This video has been in my Recommendations List for like 4 months, decided to check it out, and uhh.... it was well worth my time. Good job :)

Reminds me of the annual trip to Spain my wife and I take every year to visit family & friends in September, on an Iberia Airlines Airbus 340 out of JFK to Madrid !! Beautiful. Great sound
This is one of the best take-off videos I have seen. Excellent job and thanks for keeping the sight on the leading edge of wing instead of panning around the cabin. Keep up the great work.
FANTASTIC VIDEO!
Lovely footage, thanks.
wow, great views. stadium and night lights. Very nice
Wow, I love the condensation from air pressure when they spool up.
One of the most beautiful videos ever seen. I have never tried to takeoff in that time of the day before, but I wish that I will experience something like that someday.
Beautiful. The smoothest take-off. Thanks for the upload :-)
Thank you jay for the info on this particular aircraft.
Fantastic video...loved it.
Thank you.I was probably so enthused in watching the vid I paid it no mind at first. Excellent!
Nice video for a nice moment. Thanks for posting.
Once again great video!! You never let me down!
LOVE this video!
Yes. I haven't often flown through to dawn or dusk landings ... but that is a special feeling for sure. Enjoyed your description here too ... all these magical things in our world around us! It's easy to take things for granted, but it's just as easy to appreciate them and get excited about things too, from an ant crawling on a sidewalk to the hydraulic whir made by flaps extending outside your window at 20,000 feet (or whatever altitude)!
Relly its fantastic take off thankyou for this amezing video
Wonderful sound! So cosy and mild...
Thank you for this video, absolutely wonderful footage!
Outstanding footage - love it!!!

beautiful take-off!! n.y my dream city.
Although the A330 and A340 (the -200 and -300 variants) are basically the same airframes with some minor differences, the A340 was designed with 4 engines to dispense with the need for ETOPS certification, as well as giving passengers the perception that it is safer than the twin-engine A330. The A340 has the additional, longer -500 and -600 variants not found on the A330.
Perception!!!!! Isn't a 4 engine safer then a twin engine?
ecerejo In today's world, the chances of both engines failing on a twin-engine aircraft are extremely minuscule.
William Shores
I know it's rare but it can happen. I believe this was the reason with that flight that crash landed on the Hudson.
ecerejo most twin engine planes can fly with only one running. Wasn't the Hudson crash was when both engines were out?
Brian Shieh
Yes it was. Both engines were put out by Canadian geese.
Pilot's speech gives me a good impression on the plane and airlines.
Great video!! Noticed that this aircraft is departing via the good'ole "Newark One Departure" departure procedure. Sweet!
gorgeous aircraft and livery
Great Video!!!
That is man's best creation right there.
Wonderful video
Very nice video man, thanks for sharing!
what a scenic departure - great!
Perfect. So smooth. I see that when you zoomed to the stadium at 4:20 the picture doesn't shake. Nice.
Amazing!
Totally like this video
The mist is water condensing. The engines lower the temperature of the air by creating a low-pressure region in front of the intakes. (Very simply - they suck air so fast the rest of the air has trouble filling the void).
The colder air can hold less moisture so the remainder flashes instantly into vapor = instant cloud. Very beautiful IMHO.
BTW, thanks for keeping the engine music instead of dubbing with a top-gun theme :)
That's the best view of Newark...leaving it on a jet plane!
Beautiful plane :)
