Thanks you Dbanaga! I’ll try wrap up the editing on it, make sure when you assemble it you take your time with the joiner, test fit it a few times then mark it so you don’t struggle after you glue it. 👍🏼
What were rates like for the surfaces? Did you go by the book for the travel limits? Did it feel touchy at all? I fly spektrum as well. Im about to maiden mine.
I went mostly by the book but for my high rates were a slight bit more, that being said I flew it on high rates the whole time and felt fine could have used more aileron. If you need me too I’ll get my gage and tell you where I was at. How’s you CG? I went electric and had to add a bit of nose weight even with the 5000mah 6s.
Did you modify the landing gear at all? I bought the P-47 from Nexa and have had it for over a year and never flown it. The gear is so weak that it essentially “bows” outward when it’s on the ground. Won’t even ROLL in grass… I’ve reached out to Motion RC with no luck
I didn’t use the recommended gear, I used trunions from the Flightline Corsair 1600mm and gear from an FMS P47 1500mm. The factory gear I had seen in person and didn’t look convincing.
Love it!! Lead sled 🤣 Id have to look at the weight I believe it was like 7lbs w/o battery made a video on it just haven’t posted it, wattage per pound was around 1350W so it’s good, needs a bit more prop!
I’d have to agree that the Foamies have more detail and do tend to look better, some of the balsa ones do look as good, but definitely lack some that detail. That being said the balsa will last longer looking nice than the foamie and they also tend to fly better, not by alot but they do. I also say that foam is easier to repair. I like both trust me I think both have a great place in this hobby!
@@ljhobbylife i understand your comparison, but i dont mean the details. What i mean is the overall shape and the proportion of the plane. The canopy is just wrong on this one for 500 dollares. VQ are also wrong but fms has the right molding forms for their planes, why ? Do i have to spend 2000 bugs for the right looking bird like these top flite giant gold edition ? Btw if you add some clearcoat on your foamie it will last forever.... maybe
@@lechiffre2617 I can definitely see that, on Foamies the proportions are right like the gear the shape of the fuse , I guess once you get the mold right then your GTG. The Nexa/VQ birds are not a well proportioned except for some of the larger ones, I have the Bearcat 80 inch wingspan and that one seems a bit better as far as the detail. Also some of my H9 have birds are pretty accurate like the Hellcat is have, but then again to your point no flaps no detailed cockpit and yes they do tend to get pricey when built.
Where are the build details like power system used, final weight and c/g used possibly the amount of throws used for this flight. If your promoting a product gives us some details. Otherwise its just another day at the field watching someone flying their new toy.
So I did give details in my final thoughts, I talk about power system, prop and the factory CG. Rates are all by the book which were fine, we ended up using high rates with no gyro. Also I’m not promoting a product just sharing my experience, nobody sends me anything and I definitely don’t get paid. If you have any other questions I almost always reply.
Did anyone else get annoyed with that gasser flying around!! Ha! Good video mate. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks Phildo! That gasser was pretty annoying lol, and definitely flew wide open the whole flight 😆
Thanks for the video brother! I can't wait for your build/tips video. I should be building mine soon.

Great video buddy!!! Love the P-47!! Can’t beat that elliptical wing!! Thanks for sharing your setup in detail!!!
Thanks Matt! It definitely flies amazing, I was worried about that wing dihedral but it turned out fine! 🙌🏼
Great setup and flying LJ. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff! Recycling old parts 😄
AWESOMENESS LJ! ❤👍👊🇺🇸
Thanks John!! Can’t wait to have a P47 day with the Hairless Joe! 🙌🏼
Maria maria ❤😂
Es una cancion 😂
Nice bro!! Looks great in the air! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Che! It’s definitely a nice flying model but needs more speed!! 🙌🏼
Ese suena je❤😮😊 😊
You should go
For 8s with badass motor 440kv -

@@ljhobbylife I went with a 20cc gas motor and had to add an ounce to the tail. A 15cc gas engine would have likely been perfect.

59" WS electric powered model? So tell us the AU weight and wing loading. You got yourself a lead sled IMO.

Great flying but why do these foam birds look way more scale !? . The canopy on this looks like from a f4 wildcat.

@@ljhobbylife so i stick to my superscale 1:24 hasegawa models and dont fly anymore. I dont want a bird looking like from the movie 'planes'!..... 😉

@ljhobbylife
thanks for your reply, I have this exact plane I'm going to build later.
