If episodes are still in the archives I’d love to see the show released on dvd by Network if possible. The series with Rustie Lee and Martin Daniels were good too.
I was a camera assistant on quite a few episodes of Game for a Laugh and Beadles About. In fact I worked on some of the filmed gags for the first ever episode of GFAL which were filmed as I vaguely recall (it was 40 years ago) on the beach in Margate. Because the public hadnt yet seen the show nor knew who the presenters were, it was quite a struggle to get the gags to work. It got a lot easier as peoples familiarity with the show and the faces increased. One of the beach gags involved introducing a bloke to a young woman in a polka dot bikini, who, whilst the man wasnt looking, went to hide on the crowded sands. What he didnt see were the scores other women in similar attire emerging from below the promenade and also 'hiding' amongst the holiday makers. He went up to an awful lot of wrong girls.
Me and a mate appeared on an episode of Game For a Laugh in 1982, probably around September - November. It was the episode where Sarah Kennedy took part in the Kenmore to Aberfeldy raft race and we were interviewed. We are both 50 this year and I'd love to get my hands on the footage. Any idea where I could possibly find a copy of that particular episode ? Many thanks.
