I love your new hutch but I really liked the black one. Thought it matched with your dining chairs and accents better. Plus it fit the wall better. Don’t get me wrong I love the new look too but still loved the black more.🍁🧡🍁🍁🤎🫶🏼

I also liked your black one better but totally understand how our tastes change!💗 I had a wood china cabinet that was used and loved it so much and took it from house to house until I met this sweet elderly lady that was very poor and had stage 4 cancer in 2 places. She told us that her kids stole her cabinet while she was in the hospital. We began ministering to her and visiting her and fixed up her little tiny trailer, put in a new floor and then after we had the new floor in I emptied out my china cabinet and we brought it over to her and placed her pretty plates and things in it! She was so happy but she said that when she died her kids would come and take the cabnet. We told her it was ok as long as she lived that it would bring her joy! I had the awesome pleasure to lead her to the LORD as her Savior and we were so happy to have been able to love on her. Then came Christmas, and a few days later, we came to see her and found out that she had passed away and looked through the kitchen window and saw that the cabnet we gave her had also been taken.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I liked the black hutch better it was a contrast for the rest of the room it was also a bigger scale which is needed on that wall. The whole room has some areas of black which I think went well with the hutch the window frames and the chairs. I can picture that hutch in a small breakfast room with a small table. Your table is a bigger scale also. I have that book it is a beautiful book.
My mother in love (that’s what we call our in-loves instead of in-laws 🥰) gifted that same book to our sweet girl when she was born! She’ll be two in November 💗. That’ll be a party fit for a very precious girl! The raw wood is beautiful as much as the black hutch was pretty I feel large black furniture pieces can be very dominating in a space and takes away from the cottage feel...some brass knobs would look gorgeous on the raw wood 🥰
Beautiful Kailyn. I have a hutch that is very similar. I too had a large black piece that I let go. The raw wood is so beautiful. Black is beautiful in light fixtures and home accents. Too much black starts to lean modern. The new hutch looks great in your home. Very warm and cottage. Love it.

This is exactly what I’m planning to do with my grandmother’s hutch that I inherited. Ironically, its lines are closer to your black hutch and I loved your hutch so much I was considering painting it black. 😅 So thanks for making my decision easier! The raw wood look or painted white would look better in the room that it’s in across from a white fireplace.

I think the new hutch looks really nice..just a suggestion, where you said about the nail holes on the front, please please make sure that they are nail holes and not woodworm, the last thing you want to do is bring woodworm in to your home 😬
