In1964/5 i had a picture of a a Dino against my bedroom wall and i said this is the most beautiful car they have ever made. After all these years you said this must be the most beautiful car they have ever made. That's true words. Cheers, Capetown.
Good variety and no banal chat well done , I have built and owned a few kit cars over the years and have to say the Kit Car Industry has been dying on its feet for a decade or more now and it's such a pity as it's a great hobby with lots of good people in the various clubs etc , I enjoyed many visits at stonleigh and Newark and knebworth over they years and met lot's of fantastic enthusiasts . It is such a pity that the younger generation don't get into this hobby and reinvigorate it and take it forward .
There's a simple and economic reason really. Modern houses are not built with garages or extra land due to the housing demand and cost of land purchase. There's just nowhere to build or keep your toys anymore... Well, not in the UK 😢
Have you ever heard or seen a "fifties" two seat open top sports car named.. BURG? It has fitted a Royal Enfield 650 pushrod twin.? I could send you photos if you want to see one.
Anybody remember in the mid-70s that came out with that car based on a Volkswagen chassis? A lot of people bought them thinking they're going to make quick money - even though it would still be a Volkswagen with the Volkswagen engine. They don't wines up there almost impossible to assemble, and cost a lot more to get them assembled than they had ever imagined
I love this. Checking out other people's builds and seeing the passion, time, building these unique rides is just awesome. Unfortunately there isnt a big enough community here that I know of
If you are in an editing passion you could release a US version that does not have the Cobra Replicas, as that is most of the kit car scene in the US. I love seeing the unusual (for USrs), the GTM, the Italian, non-Fiero based cars, the Citroen adaptations, etc. though I didn't remember any GS based builds.
Great video but it could have been so much better if you had included the NG stand next to the Jaguars. You got right up to it and I could even see my NG TC in the background. Maybe this year?
Stratos looked great but my eye was caught by the Lotus Elan . Went online but couldn't find it . Can you tell me who makes them ? I've wanted an Elan for 40 years or more
The only people who made Lotus Elan were.....wait for it! Lotus. The Elan was available to purchase in kit for for home assembly back in the day directly from Lotus Cars.
I can only emagine the body damage that would result hitting a metal shopping cart in a super market parking lot. Love the right hand steering wheel design on these beauties.
What the heck is the silver car at 4:50? This is way cool. Too bad I don't live in the UK. I would have loved to have been there. I love the beautiful Lister Bell, Lancia Stratos kits the best. Thank you.
Is Stonleigh still charging the kit car owners to take their cars into the show? I found this rediculous because without them taking their cars there is no show to charge others to go in to look at the cars.
With a lot of those cars the quality is terrible. Also so many of them are big money sinkholes, you'll never get out of them what you put into them, not to mention the tens of thousands of hours. With the exception of the Cobra kit cars are pretty good
I really feel so sorry firstly for the clubs that organised to attend this cr@p fest but most of all the paying public for what was a few half empty fields and a main hall with a large percentage of the larger kit builders missing Total joke of an event The organisers should hang there head in shame
Point taken. It was less well attended than on previous years and as you say, only one hall in use. However, I think it was worth going to see. Hopefully there will be more stuff to see next year.

Great vid of what looks like a great car show. Luv'd the GT40 exhausts!

You did well Sir, given that the Dino 246 production did not start until 1967!!! lol
@@glennboyd7049 Rudie was precocious. The first showing of the 206 Dino was in October of 1965 at the Paris Auto Show.
Good video. Normally only a few types are shown in videos like this, but you have shown a wide variety.

Some interesting observations, there, thank you. I'm in the microcar scene and like kit cars, it doesn't seem to attract younger people.

Thankyou for sharing. Most enjoyable and great filming 👍
Only 2 Nova's (Novae?) 10:10. I would have expected more in their home country. Good to see the weather was kind for the outing.
Brilliant. Thank you for this.
Thanks for taking the time to film this. Hope you had time to enjoy the show as well!
Yes, had time to look around. A great show despite being fewer displays than in previous years.
@@peakfreans68 I suppose the exhaust emission rules will kill a few off, and more each year.
Miss living in Britain for this kinda stuff..... I can smell the grass and petrol. Thank for making this.

I like the buggy~♪ . Cool ,
Love the Lancia stratos.
I’ll start the fight now …but the prettiest car ever made was the mk3 cortina 🤣🤣🤣 ok so I have unusual taste ! Great vid thanks 👍
any Lions there ? a car based on an ss Jag predessesor to the D type.
To bad there wasn’t any information about the cars?

any with steel bodies ?
Nice vid! If that was a real Gurney in that GT40 the exhaust ports would be on top of the engine ,No?
Where is this show held? What are the contact details for this show?
It ’s a great kit car.

Even better second time viewing
For one second, I had to ask myself why Mandy Patinkin was driving a Messerschmitt!

This is filmed in England. Right hand steering is the norm.
I built a JC Midge in the mid 80's but had to sell it when I moved to Oz.
Good video. I like it
cheers an enjoyable video
all these beautiful cars owned and cherished by enthusiasts fantastic .unfortunately in the republic of Ireland you cannot insure them .

Its a Vortex GTR I think - yes, its a nice looking car.
A few absolutely beautiful vehicles, a few super ugly too, just like all kit cars. Looks like a great meet up,

Kit car drivers were let in free but the passengers had to pay.
@@peakfreans68 as it has always been!
This is great. 14th subscriber! 👍👍😊
Enjoyed that... Cool Sterlings and the Stratos
All I hear are screeching tires in the background.
Enzo said the best looking car was the XKE .
Invest in a good microphone and at least do a voice over so we know what all the cars are....thanks.
5 minuts thats not a real Kitcar thats a marcos racing car. It even finished first of the british cars at Le Man

National Shit Car Show. Fixed it for ya!!
Kit Cars? I think there cheating.
The Ferrari F430 is far prettier than the ugly Dino lol
