They still make the tint. Its just called "one way mirror" tint instead of chrome. Get it in 5% for maximum chrome look.

I would've used sand paper to smooth the rusted parts and fill in the worst rusted areas and then spray paint the car.
And all chrome doesn't look good to me... I would've gone with iron man colours

Rust oleum makes a “turbo” spray can you should get a few of those and clear coat for a great popping look

He needs to sand it down and smooth it out and redo it. Now that he knows it turns out cool it would look amazing if a few hours of prep was done instead of 15 minutes.

I mean not counting the car underneath it's actually a better color than gta's chrome. (I've never liked the look of gta5's chrome. And you can't use decals with chrome because gta logic chrome+decal=chromed decal.. Literally nothing else covers liveries..

Yeah man some tuck and roll velvet upholstery with little dingle balls trim around the top of the windshield and some fuzzy dice hangin from the rear view mirror, and then put some cherry bomb glass packs on twice pipes with of coarse chrome tips.
If you can paint the tires (shuddering) then yes to the purple shag rug and seat covers. Plush, super plush shag...really shaggy.

To tint the windows you can but stick on two way mirror plastic that’s sold for shop windows. It comes in large rolls and you can cut it to size and it’s relatively cheap
If this doesn’t get Longhorn Steer Horns on the hood it’s not even that cool.

Love these videos. Watching you getting your old car working again makes me want to get the car o have running again. It is a car I grew up in that my grandma had and left toe when she died. Unfortunately I didn't have the means to keep it running. Has been sitting for a few years, I really want to try to get it running again. Thank you for inspire me to try harder.

They make a chrome paint you spray with a gun over black paint, it really looks like polished chrome

Now... Imagine that, wet sanded and with like 7 coats clear...
clear coats on this paint makes it turn silver matte again unfortunately.
Sand, primer and a clean 3 coats of chrome. Would look awesome. But id still put 5 to 6 clear coats over it.
If you want you could also wrap it chrome.
I would have sanded it down and put 3 coats of chrome on it. Clear coat would be a complete waste of time on the chrome paint.

After my first truck my first car was a 68 Bel air two-door and I painted it because the primer job looked an awful lot like the cromino and I used three full cans of krylon chrome paint then I drove it for about 5 MI in the Arizona sun and decided that the front half of it needed to be painted blue because it was freaking bright even through my sunglasses.
Definitely tinted the windows! Since you are in Texas how about steer horns? Your infectious laugh makes it fun.for us! Love it Matt 🥰👍👍🥰
