Why Do Pros LOVE this Mousepad?

    Why do so many VALORANT pros use this mousepad? The Artisan Zero is considered the goat when it comes to control pads. But it’s pricey. Sitting at over $60 US - and that’s before you pay duties on it.
    Assuming it’s even in stock.

    The reason behind Artisan pads is the consistency you get from it being so high quality. A 1 week artisan pad will feel the same as a year old pad when its washed.

    • @hampustornros

      It does start slowing down eventually. If yours feels the same after a year then you aren't playing that much.

    idk if anyones gonna see this but if u want a reason why its good its bc of its low static friction (when u start moving the mouse) with high dynamic friction (when youre already moving the mouse/coming to a stop) it makes it so its not sluggish like a rly worn down coated pad when youre trying to do smaller movements where its mainly micro adjustments but when you flick that mf come to a stop

      I personally use a hard surface mousepad instead which is great for faster-paced games, making my flicks feel effortless.
      I would say for Valorant, use heavier fabrics as it’s great for micro mouse movements and stopping force to land headshots better.

    clarity for everyone here since he didn’t explain anything. first and foremost why did he want the mouse pad to feel the same? It’s because everyone likes a different friction and weight. so he plays valorant which is usually a slower sense. He has a better mouse bad imo and switched to check this one out it’s probably more friction with a less slick surface. Also this dosent make much sense since skates are also a very big variable and can be worn down and change the feel of the mouse pad by a lot. Now why care it’s a competitive advantage and is very good for your hand and joints. Main takeaways if you want good sim switch to a artisan don’t cheap out the difference is almost laughable at how much less friction there is you will instantly notice a difference with the amount of control you have and the effort you have to put in to moving the mouse. there’s a reason every single “kovaaks” aim trainer players only use artisan religiously it’s because it’s the best and there’s no competition. If you want a artisan think of the amount of friction you want and choose to your liking also choose your skates in match do not buy glass skates you need to replace them monthly and aren’t as good as ptfe. I probably rambled if you have any questions or concerns i’ll answer them.

    For anyone who actually cares to hear y the artisan 0 is so popular among pros here is y:
    It is made by artisan, a well known and respected brand that has solid quality across their mousepads.
    It has a really good amount of control while not feeling muddy, making it optimal for games like val and cs.
    It is a mousepad accessible to everyone and pretty well known. So despite there being better mousepads for the same thing, they often times r only known and purchased by a small group of people. The way mousepads become popular is from these people spreading it to pros and then the wider community. (So pretty much a mousepad nerd tells a pro, that pro tells another, etc)

    It’s true, I bought the Hayate Otsu (Mid) couple months ago because I kept hearing popular streamers, Pro players and even YT creators talk about Artisan being a great mousepad. I came from the GSR so I had relatively high expectations. The mousepad has special weaving that I could clearly see, has a sticky-ish bottom so the Pad doesn’t move easily. I did have to lower my sens from .265 to .245 and it did take getting used to the control for about 1 week and to actually break in the pad about 2 weeks. But since then I’ve been loving the mouse and actually prefer it over the GSR and any other pads I’ve used. Only complaint is it does tend to get dirtier quicker than the rest maybe a month use time before washing it~

      @genki3809 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your mousepad is clean it doesnt matter what type you have. But from my experience Artisans just give you better consistency not raise skill. They last extremely long and feel the same as out of the box when its washed

      @sylvieee. ปีที่แล้ว

      i find that they enable my mechanics to improve as i put less thought into them due to the great consistency, skypad is similar in the vein of consistency but definitely not the kind of pad you want for val

    • @waxwastaken
      @waxwastaken ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I heard the Saturn is actually slower than a zero. I never used a zero because of the price but I do have a standard lgg Saturn that I've had for a year and it is a really good mousepad

    Artisan: Expensive (60-90$)
    LGG Saturn: 30$ (around the price of a viper mini one of the best budget gaming mice out there)

    bro these comments😂 if you're a mouse enthusiast you know why the artisan zero is the best control pad on the market. so many companies just copy their specs like lethal gaming gear with their Saturn and Jupiter lines. if you care about aiming in tac fps, just buy one already

    Nah, my 100x50cm saturn is alright. Or even the piece of cloth stretched to the desk.
    Even the desk without mouse pad is great.
    Dont let these ppl sway you into buying premium products that purpose is nothing but aesthetic and a little better comfort.
    The explanation on this short is basically "Pros like to use it, so it must be great and plus my placebo is kicking in, so it is really the GOAT of mousepads."

    It’s really not that controlled tho. If this were several years ago I’d say it was kinda fast but I guess it’s medium now. A control pad to me is a QCK heavy or G-SR, or -SE.
