When I taught mathematics I liked to tell my students maths stories and one of the stories related to how the HINDU number system moved from India to Europe. Sir, these days lots of TH-cam channel have been formed to disgrace Hinduism and they provide lot of misinformation giving reference from Vedas and I am totally confused because lots of people are losing faith in Vedas because of them. Some channels are science journey , rational world etc.
Watch the channel Heated Debates he refutes Science Journey pretty well. If you are losing faith than that's good cause if what you know is so weak that it can be easily destroyed by someone then it should be replaced with something else. Science journey is a Neo-Buddhist he uses Buddhism to attack Sanatana Dharma and further his agenda of Hinduism being casteist. To him Buddhism is only a tool he does not care about what buddha wanted to teach people. If you question his believes he will fall apart in no time. If you are losing faith in Vedas then try what he has to offer. Buddhism when you get into it is essentially Hinduism only. Buddha had no issue with Varna System But science journey would not say that because to Buddha is a mascot for his agenda. If you will see these channels have science and rational like words in names to make sure that people think that they are scientific in there approach even though they don't know 'S' of Science. How are these people unscientific people. You should trust your ancient heritage and culture. Our people were no less than any scientist in there abilities obviously they didn't had certain tools and technologies to help them but intellectually they were some of the best ever.
Vedas are not about faith they are enquiry, exploration and celebration of the divine truth that is in heart of everyone. They are written in poetic manner in old Sanskrit which is not easy to understand. Vedas true goal is achieve the highest goal of reality that is self recognition and liberation people interpret Vedas in all kinds of stupid manners. While gross science of today has it's importance but it cannot give eternal happiness and liberation. Ancient Indians concept of science was vaster as they explored the human mind and consciousness. If you want to understand Vedas in better manner you should read Sri Aurobindo's interpretation of Vedas.
It's fine to lose faith so that you gain something more sturdy next time which would not be shaken easily like "true knowledge" not that is not just a idea but a experience.

the equation at 08:10 , i am sure about it and its simple and natural to think about it, that if 6 main tastes are there (i.e combination of 1 at a time) , then the combination of 2 at a time, then 3 at a time and in the end 1 at a time, this form a expanded binomial series whose sum is 2^n (2 to the power of n), in our case n being 6, so total combinations possible are 2^(6) = 64, but that subtracted 1 signifies the term, combination of 6 tastes taken 0 at a time, that is no taste , which is already being counted in our 2^n sum so we subtract that 1 from 64 and we get 63 combinations in total,
{well this is the simple math , one can go on combining the results again as 1 at a time, 2 at a time and so on, but instead we can do ratios and portions with the basic tastes itself giving almost infinite amount of combinations, by taking infinitesimal reduction on ration , but finite if its fixed.}

The backbone of any societies is the use of technology for their prosperity and happiness. But for any technology to exist, it must have a mathematical definition, and that definition is based on the number system.
So according to my thinking, the author is asking for happiness and prosperity through the usage of number system guided by the energies of the universe (Devatas) to create a technology for the realization of happiness and prosperity for the society.
