    I have been using glass beds for years and swear by them. The best way to clean them, I have found is to use Camera Lens Cleaner. It doesn't leave any residue. Also the Anycubic Ultrabase works well... if you keep it clean and let the prints cool before forcing them off the plate. I'm beginning to like the Ender-5 Plus, may end up getting one, if so I will use your link to help out your channel.

    Anycubic Chiron
    Wanhao dupicator d12/300 are the ones im picking between.

And when I do that I understand I need to adjust the e steps on the settings to make sure it is extruding the proper amount of plastic. How do I do that on the Ender 5 Plus? The touchscreen menus are completely different to the typical Marlin scroll knob menu on my regular Ender 5, and I don't see that option anywhere.

    the extruder is your hot end, it extrudes the melted plastic. What your calling the extruder is the feeder, because it feeds the filament into the extruder.

    • @FranklyBuilt
      @FranklyBuilt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry that’s not accurate. Your extruder is the gear and lever arm that forces the filament through. The hot end is the section that heats up.

    I have 2 Ender 5 plus printers and one came with a keyway on the motor stem but the newest one didn't and there are no grub screws holding the gear on, trying to get the gear off was near impossible (as though it was epoxied on) so I bought a replacement motor (different wiring setup) and a genuine Bondtech BMG extruder as when printing fast on the other machine with its copperhead the aluminium extruder was struggling to supply enough filament and caused under extrusion so I had to slow down but the Bondtech has no problem with speed.

    Oh Great, the allen-key bolts you talk about at 9:33 aren't there on my printer, the extruder gear is pressure fitted to the stepper motor and I have no idea how to remove it...

    Thanks for the video--I bought one from Creality but the coupler does not have anything to screw into. There are no threads at the top of the extruder for the coupler. Is there supposed to be an insert or something?

    • @FranklyBuilt
      @FranklyBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that’s super weird. Might be a defective one

    Is it just as loud as the cr-10?

    • @FranklyBuilt
      @FranklyBuilt  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A little louder actually but a silent mainboard makes it invisible

    • @ammarali5134
      @ammarali5134 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's always been creality Achilles heel. Supposedly the new CR 6 is silent but we will see.

    Nice video however it is nothing like a core xy or even close to that type of concept, A core XY printers movement mechanics like a delta, having multiple motors working on movements to lighten the load while moving, like a delta math calculations are a lot higher load then this Cartesian printer, it has nothing to do with the shape of the cube, or bed movement up and down, its to do with how it moves, Core xy uses two motors at the same time to make xy movements working together on same belt paths. as a delta does using all three motors and belts at once for its movements, :D just so you sound smarter for your other printer videos as to not compare apples to oranges. Also to bad companies would stop putting in cheap crap quality parts to make some one spend a half a grand or more to have to spend more to ensure it works properly so irritating to me and im sure others.
