Today I hunted the most beautiful ancient coral fossil discovered
I was hunting for ancient rocks when after several ancient rock samples I came across a very beautiful fossil rock sample.
Fossil coral stone is more than 10 million years old. Fossil coral is a type of gemstone formed by ancient corals. Of course, the correct name of these stones is calcareous corals or calcareous fossil corals because during the formation of coral remains with lime, they become chalcedony and microcrystalline quartz.
When prehistoric corals were converted to lime during the fossilization process, fossil corals were formed by the hardening of the remaining deposits of silica-enriched waters. The entire mentioned process takes place in special geological conditions and takes about 20 million years.
Corals are sea creatures whose skeletons and bones turn into fossils over time and take a flower-like shape.
Of course, note that fossil corals should not be confused with reef corals. This type of coral is a type of calcareous or chalcedony coral that is formed based on carbon dioxide compounds.
Sometimes these corals are also used as medicinal supplements. Fossil corals are also used in industrial fertilizers or water purification filters because they can remove chemical impurities such as chlorine and formaldehyde.
Fossil corals come in a variety of colors from white and pink to brown, black, black, red or yellow. The color of these stones can vary based on exposure to air and oxidation and the underlying minerals.
