So, thoughts on an "adults only" Disney cruise? Something short, just a couple of days and maybe a smaller boat, but bigger rooms and maybe a drinks package? Let's be realistic here, some of us over 21 love Disney a little much to not want this and at the same time maybe would enjoy all the Disney stuff but w/o all the kids running around.
Booked our first Disney cruise on the Dream for Mardi Gras 2019...this video was extremely helpful ...thanks for the info!

Michael, I'm a new subscriber. I found you because my husband and I are considering a Disney cruise or WDW vacation for our 15th anniversary next year. We did WDW for our honeymoon and have it done it twice the last few years with our 5 (!) kids, but are looking now to experience the Disney Magic just us as adults. The vlogs with you and David make the cruise look so wonderful as adults. We've never cruised before. I'm leaning toward the cruise after watching your videos.

Hi person reading this comment! Consider the first question of this video: Is it worth it?
Well. In my opinion, IS IT _EVEN_ A QUESTION??? DCL is worth EVERY single penny you spend for it!! People say it is expensive, but as I said before, Disney actually puts EFFORT into making your cruise one to remember, and not carnival. DO NOT go on carnival.

I am a Disney fan all the way. I love Disney, watch Disney vlogs, have seasonal passes, stay at Disney Resorts/Hotels.. the whole nine yards. I priced out a Disney Cruise, 7 Day Caribbean Cruise. I must say I was completely taken back and shocked how expensive it was. I was quoted 1,800.00 per person/Ocean View. I was also quoted 7 Day , on Princess Cruise Lines 749.00 per person Ocean View. About the same Itinerary. I do not understand or even can comprehend why I would pay so much more then I have to?
Without a doubt, Disney is worth it. However it's not always affordable for us. The price difference between them and the other main lines is now pretty steep. Having said that, I've had amazing cruises with both Carnival and Royal Caribbean so we opt for that. When we can afford it, we'll do Disney again for sure.
Quick inside tip if u buy a bucket of popcorn u can get that bucket refilled on other cruise. So u don’t have to spend money on a new bucket every time
Regarding the kids clubs/child care- you have to pay for kids and under 2 or 3 and for late night child care.
Other things not included= cabanas at cast away cay, anything at the shops (I know obvious to most but not to some)

We changed our excursion on Castaway Cay to the jet skis based on how much fun you made that adventure look!! We leave for the Wonder in 8 days for a 14 day WBPC Cruise!! Love your excitement and the videos. Keep them coming!!

My family and I went on a Disney cruise in 2012 and I am seriously considering another one next year as my twin boys keep asking me when can we go back. It was so much fun! I have a hard time giving up the parks for the cruise, but I think next year I'll have to change it up. There is so much to do on these cruises. I had never done a cruise before Disney and was worried I'd be bored. No way! There just isn't enough time on the 4-night Bahamian cruise to do everything. I'll choose a longer cruise for 2019. I definitely want to get the jet ski excursion after seeing you and your brother's video. It looked amazing!

Yes Disney cruises are more expensive be we found that by the time we paid for all the extras on Royal Caribbean, it cost almost as much as a Disney cruise. For example, the specialty restaurants on Disney are a extra free and you can pick whatever you want on the menu as much as you want. The specialty restaurants on RC are more like a regular restaurant and charge you depending on what you order. The nice thing about rotational dining on Disney with the same wait staff is that we had 3 kids from 13 to 17. When we went to Palo to eat, which is adults only, we told the kids to go to our regular table in the dining room. This was on day 4, the day before we informed the wait staff that the kids would be there without us, and they were well taken care of. On the other cruise lines it is amazing at all the little things that are not included that add up to be darn close as expensive as a Disney cruise.

Palo is my favorite restaurant anywhere, with the exception of Victoria and Albert's (which is at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at Walt Disney World).
if your going on this cruise on the dream Palo is a definitely must go. ask for Nicolas he was an amazing server had a great time

It's pretty standard across all cruise lines, except that Disney has free soda. However, other cruise lines, that don't include soda, do have free options like lemonade, iced tea, and other juices. However, for half the price, I wouldn't mind paying for a few sodas if I wanted some! I do think all cruise lines should include everything, popcorn, ice cream, coffee, etc. Having to pay for those things rubs me the wrong way, regardless of the cruise line.

Michael, thank you for this vlog! After watching your Magical Disney Cruise Adventure, we shared the same sentiment your brother David and you had. We immediately started looking at cost ourselves but couldn't quite figure it out any included specific amenities. My family and I watch you daily since late 2016, you even helped us plan our June 2017 Disney World Adventure. My 6 year old son always says "It's Michael Kay Time!" Every night. You only keep getting better! Thanks for sharing the Magic with us always.

Rather than the DCL "magical express" bus we used a private van service from the port to our WDW resort. It was slightly more expensive for us but it was nice to have a private car service take us directly to our resort after the cruise, no need to wait for anyone else. Before the cruise we flew in to MCO and took the private van service from MCO to a hotel in Port Canaveral. The hotel was about 5 minutes away from the port and they had a van service take you ($6 extra per person). Since we stayed in Port Canaveral the night before it seemed we arrived at the ship before those people who stayed in WDW the night before.

For the multiple staterooms/photo package situation, as long as one person listed under a stateroom is in the picture, they will agree to add that picture to the photo package of that stateroom. You might need to request specific pictures at Shutters but that’s the rule, even if the picture was initially assigned to another stateroom.

I’m delighted that you enjoyed the videos! Good questions, yes I definitely felt the magic of Disney when I was there, but it’s very different from Disney World or any other theme park. I believe everyone’s experience would be unique and it’s worth trying for sure.

I think that not giving out free popcorn makes sense since you could ask for so much that no one else gets one. Plus they have to get everyone in the theater for the show in time, so it limits the amount of people getting food. Good video though!

Kip Rohner You are assigned to a specific time and dining room every night. Only the adult restaurants, Palo and Rémy, require reservations.
