Disney will always be worth it in my mind because everything is included. You don't need to worry about bringing any extra money on board or having to worry about buying extras unless you specifically want to go to Palo/Remy or get something from say the jewelry store or something
That is usually my take. I consider a cruise value to be when the price per night with taxes, fees, and gratuities is under $200 USD per night. For Disney, I increase that to $250 because most beverages I’d drink and food I will eat is included. I do wish they’d offer a coffee beverage or alcohol package outside of the frequent coffee card and the 6 pack bottled beer they offer. And the move from speciality dining cover charge to a la carte has made planning for Palo more difficult, it is still a good meal value. But I miss the days of $15 all you can eat Palo.
You don’t get everything “included”! For the amount you’re paying you could have a full drink package that includes more than just soft drinks along with a dining pass to eat at all of the many up charge restaurants! You’re being ripped off and you don’t even see it!
Just a note from across the pond: We have both jam and jelly. Jam is made from whole fruit while jelly is made from fruit juice. And yes, you can use jam in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
The Mickey waffles at the breakfast buffet should be emphasized more. And keep an eye out for when they have the churro version of them - that's the most amazing version :)
We've done Disney Cruise Line and some others and I definitely think you notice the difference in the food quality and service on Disney, especially in the Main Dining Rooms - that is a superior experience. I do think once you add in the specialty dining you can get a lot more variety on the other cruise lines and even when you add in that extra cost it is still less expensive than Disney. I totally get why Disney cost more - just not always easy to justify the scale of the price difference
Love, love. love DCL. The food, servers, crew, shows, basically everything is top notch. Disney just knows how to do it right. Yes, you are paying for the "brand", but it is so worth it. We just got back from a 5-night cruise on the Magic and am going to book a 7-night cruise on the Fantasy! Thanks for your videos.
I did not like the texture of papaya when I first tasted it. The more I had, the more I liked it. Try it with a little lime juice squeezed on top. Delish!
Hi Ben & David, I also like both jam and jelly 😋😋 I thought you might be interested in knowing the difference between them 😊 Jam is made with Mashed fruit with bits or pieces of fruit in it. Jelly is made with Strained fruit juice, is clear, and there are no bits or pieces of fruit in it 😃 As always, I loved your review and look forward to watching them every week. Continue living and loving your lives, you're awesome ❤
Did not know much about Disney ships…it was very nice to see the food/restaurant review tour.. yes i started sailing 1972 and very much a traditionalist. Its nice to know you have set seating with the same waiters but you also get to see other restaurants also🚢😊
MDR menus on longer sailings are great. 14 nights on the Magic had so many unexpected and amazing menu options and the crew were so amazing that we mentioned we liked a particular item and they made it each night for the rest of our Atlantic crossing. I love that DCL has kept some of my favs on the menu for years and I can’t wait to have them again in September.
I have been on 17 Disney cruises but not for the food. It isn’t bad in my opinion but not spectacular. I do try to get into Palos twice for dinner by going the first night and a second time and Remys is incredible but pricey. Really pricey. I do wish the buffet was open for dinner because sometimes I really want to avoid the dining rooms. I believe that is one of the shortcomings of Disney. I would give the food on a Disney cruise a solid B.
I've taken 3 DCL cruises and I feel the breakfast and lunch options are fairly standard. Usually go to the buffet and while it's good, they aren't remarkable either. But I think DCL dinners are very good. In addition to the ambience of the rotating dining rooms, they tend to have more premium proteins consistantly for each dinner and they are prepared well.
I don't know if this was mentioned because there were many comments but there is actually a type of flex dining on board Disney cruise lines. On select nights cabanas actually opens up as a seated dinner so maybe in future videos you can mention this. we did this once when we could not make it to our regular dining time which was the early dining and it was quite nice very quick service lots of attention cause there are very few people in there and you can actually order from any of the restaurants because they're all coming from the main galley. Thanks for putting together another great video! I love your enthusiasm! It makes me even more excited for my future cruises!
I love your videos Ben and David! I'm new to your channel and really enjoy your videos, they're very informative and detailed, and you are both so sweet and down to earth! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us, it's like we're there with you!
I do truly love your videos. My wife and I cruise strictly on Disney (have tried several others) but Disney checks all our boxes. Every time y'all put another Disney video I make it a point to watch it cause I enjoy your personal touch, humor and how genuine your opinions are.
I so enjoy your videos! I am taking my first Disney cruise this summer with my family and as the only vegan in the group, also the only one with food allergies, I appreciate you pointing out the ease at which I'll be able to eat alongside my family. I have heard Disney is very accommodating for various diets, but thanks for confirming. Can't wait to sail Disney this summer! 🙂
Hello Ben & David. We were on Disney Dream last October and celebrated Halloween. So much fun. AND.... we've booked the trans Atlantic cruise on DD September 2024 leaving Ft Lauderdale and ending in Barcelona!!! We're so excited!!!
You guys always put a smile on my face. For people like me who don't really get to cruise this is like a nice little adventure that I can enjoy right from my home. Thank you for putting out the best cruise videos on the internet
My like is specifically for the pnut butter and jelly pancakes! What would I like for breakfast - all of that! We didn't know about breakfast in the dining rooms on our cruise this past December. So that is on our must do list this September on the Fantasy!!
Oh man, you had me with those waffles that came up first in the video - looks excellent. The overall quality on Disney just looks so impressive - I'm a big fan!
A friend is about to sail on Disney and shared with me your videos. I am totally charmed by the two of you!!! and impressed by the wonderful videos and review of everything one might encounter! I so want Eggs Benedict now!!!
Did the ship have overnight oats or Swiss Oatmeal for breakfast with fresh fruit? That and Mickey waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream are my breakfast favs.
I look so forward to seeing your videos on the weekend guys especially the food menus 😋😋 loved the way David's scrambled eggs were in a scoop on his plate, very neat.. See you both on the next video, stay safe out there ❤❤
I love a good sit down breakfast and I really appreciate the care Disney takes to accommodate my problems with wheat. A wonderful way to start the day🥰
Eggs Benedict, grapefruit and coffee with cream. For lunch, iced specialty coffee with caramel. Dinner shrimp cocktail, roasted chicken white meat with gravy and orzo, cranberry sauce and baby carrots. Dessert plain strawberries. Iced tea with pineapple juice.
Love it like always, the food look so delicious, the breakfast, the fruit plate look so fresh, Ben the piece of fruit you had and you didn't know what it was, it was mango, when I buy them, I use tagine it's a chile and lime salt and give it more flavor. It's not spicy. The buffet I was like what to eat, lol. Looking for to your next video, you both be safe on your travels.
The ships, staff, entertainment is wonderful, food has gone downhill. Not as good as a few years ago. I do value Ben and David’s opinions since they’ve been on all the major lines.
I've been on those ships so many times, I didn't really need to watch this, but I did because y'all are just delightful. That's all. I have nothing more to say...
Hi Ben & David just a comment on the fruit papaya it's called paw paw here in Australia grown up in Queensland. I'm on the Celebrity Eclipse next week I know you had mixed experience with them we have cruised before and have a concierge stateroom and are Elite so that should give us a good experience.
Not sure I call it complimentary when Disney cruise prices are more than other cruise lines Surely the drinks and other items would just be built into the fare price.
You should check out Gary Bembridge's video he did just that and was insulted by other guests when trying to do his vlog. I would say that solo men might get a sideways view from other men with young families. Gary is more real about how IN YOUR FACE Disney is all movies are Disney all trivia is Disney all shows are Disney and characters are everywhere including during your meals. Ben and David saying it's not in your face are being a bit disingenuous to be honest.
I did my first cruise on the Disney Wonder back in October and they have some great no sugar desserts. I was so thrilled with a dark chocolate Mousse featured at Animator's Palatte.
That sounds amazing! Disney cruises always have delightful surprises. We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the no sugar desserts, especially the dark chocolate mousse. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! 🚢😄
I'm not much of a cruise person, but I love watching you guys eat! My ultimate breakfast would be fluffy scrambled eggs, millionaire bacon, and some Swedish pancakes with real maple syrup. Also, a glass of fresh brewed lightly sweetened ice tea with crushed Sonic-style ice.
Another good shirt. It’s nasty and I’m here for it 😂 I adore you guys so much. I’m immune compromised and my doc has finally given the go ahead to travel so yes leaving on a cruise masks in hand for me in may first one in over 5 years. Excited isn’t even the word.
For the price of a normal cruise on DCL you could cruise in the Yacht Club on MSC and have your own private restaurant that’s every bit as good as the ones you pay for on other lines, all the drinks you want, a butler, a pool that’s limited to just the club, a private lounge, and more! There’s no way I’d pay to be stuck on a ship full of children as an adult!
Thank you so much for discovering our channel and giving us a chance. We're thrilled that you were hooked right from the start! We hope you enjoy catching up on our videos and joining us on our adventures. If you have any questions or suggestions along the way, feel free to let us know. Welcome to our cruise-loving community!
Aww such a wonderful video if me my daughter and her best friend were on a Disney cruise we would go on Disney wish first then go on Disney Fantasy or Disney Magic this will be my daughters first cruise the food sounds good for breakfast lunch dinner and $25 for a glass of wine not bad
Firstly “ WoW “ what an excellent Vlog , you chaps did a Stirling Job and I think you make it look very easy , and I’m sure it’s not at all , Secondly “Wowza “ Disney can produce decent food , it looked delicious and the service looked charming too , so much better than the torrid disappointing food they serve at the parks , really impressed 😊
I absolutely loved your video. You two are so fun and I love your personality and style!!! Where on earth did you get those darling shirts you are both wearing. Please spill the beans!!
“Name that fruit with Ben and David. I’m not sure what fruit that is” I don’t know why but that cracked me up 😂😂 I’m crying. It’s mango. You were right. You guys are hilarious! 😂 earned a new sub lol
😂Ben so early in the morning and your Cracking jokes 😜 i be stuffed with just the one meal 😜 I heard many that we know thats cruised saying you always come back heavier after a Cruise as the food so good 😜 Great video hope you both had a Great Easter weekend 🥰
If I were to bring just some of my family on a Disney cruise it would cost me over 12 thousand dollars, I would have to make my my older kids stay home or pay their own way . Times are tight right now I could make better use of that money right now
Absolutely love your videos! You guys really prepared my husband and I for our first cruise on the Disney Magic back in October. And now we're HOOKED just booked another cruise on Carnival for next year. 💜
My favorite breakfast? Hands down it's the Full English. Never been to England, Amsterdam is the closest I've gotten. But my whole life I have been head over heels for English food. Turned 50 and took a DNA test; that explained everything!

did Disney have beef bacon?
Disney will always be worth it in my mind because everything is included. You don't need to worry about bringing any extra money on board or having to worry about buying extras unless you specifically want to go to Palo/Remy or get something from say the jewelry store or something

I agree. I feel like Disney always offers that peace of mind that should come with vacation.
Dcl is not all inclusive just buy a dining package and soda package on the other lines for the same experience for less
You don’t get everything “included”! For the amount you’re paying you could have a full drink package that includes more than just soft drinks along with a dining pass to eat at all of the many up charge restaurants! You’re being ripped off and you don’t even see it!

“Stick a wheel in me and call me a bridge” I love when Ben says stuff like this 😂😂 love you Ben and David 😘❤️❤️❤️ 21:28
I lost it when David started singing Proud to be an American 😂😂😂

Berger patty sausage in the US .. we get sausage links ( mini hot dogs) and sausage patties for those who don't like the casing.CHEERS🥰🤗🦚💚🙏

I am not usually a "soup person" , but oh my word, the soup on DCL is all so good!
Thanks so the thorough report on the meals aboard. I think I want to try cruising one of the Disney cruises! All the meals you mentioned sounds yummy

This was fun, Gentlemen.
"Name that fruit with Ben & David"!😉
Hello Ben & David. We were on Disney Dream last October and celebrated Halloween. So much fun. AND.... we've booked the trans Atlantic cruise on DD September 2024 leaving Ft Lauderdale and ending in Barcelona!!! We're so excited!!!
Ben I think the blueberries were what was sour not the papaya it is sweet when ripe.
Delightful review, kept me smiling & giggling throughout! Thanks Ben & David!

Thank you for this❤
love your videos, not rushing at all and showing all the details viewers want to see x
Oh man, you had me with those waffles that came up first in the video - looks excellent. The overall quality on Disney just looks so impressive - I'm a big fan!
" Omg , its like I just licked Italy ! " I can't stop laughing 😆

Yes
Crab Eggs Benedict for me. Absolutely delicious
Ooohh! Sounds delish!
Thank you so much for this video. I have never been on a Disney Ship, but y’all make it look so inviting
Nice video. Alot of great info. Thanks and take care.
I look so forward to seeing your videos on the weekend guys especially the food menus 😋😋 loved the way David's scrambled eggs were in a scoop on his plate, very neat..
See you both on the next video, stay safe out there ❤❤
Smoked salmon with capers and red onion cream cheese on a bagel yum
Happy Easter boys

love the design of the enchantered garden and that food looked delicious. i cant eat really fancy food but that food looked really good.
My kiddo did get different kids menus each night! Different menus with characters each night and different items. Pizza, steak, corn dog, etc.
We will be concierge aboard the Dream on April 22nd, and I appreciate your content
Not sure I call it complimentary when Disney cruise prices are more than other cruise lines Surely the drinks and other items would just be built into the fare price.
You guys really make the best reviews of ships including DCL ! Kudos and thank you !❤❤🎉🎉
I really need to try Disney! But I'd feel a little creepy going on their solo was a 40+ year old man!
We see and know lots of adult only travellers
You should check out Gary Bembridge's video he did just that and was insulted by other guests when trying to do his vlog. I would say that solo men might get a sideways view from other men with young families. I would love it if they did 24 hr breakfast. My favourite meal of the day. But it all looks lovely.
“It’s like i licked Italy”…😂 I laughed so loudly I scared the dog to bits!
I just finished my wonderful Disney Cruise on the Dream…which is this one that they are visiting..I can’t say enough about it..fantastic vacation..
Wobblage! New word to describe poached egg, love it!
found your channel very randomly but im so glad i did! love this
Love your shows, Keep on Cruising!
I do the see food diet
I did my first cruise on the Disney Wonder back in October and they have some great no sugar desserts. I was so thrilled with a dark chocolate Mousse featured at Animator's Palatte.

The buffet breakfast is brilliant as well.Loved the Dream, can’t wait to go on the Wish.

I adore you guys so much.
I’m immune compromised and my doc has finally given the go ahead to travel so yes leaving on a cruise masks in hand for me in may first one in over 5 years. Excited isn’t even the word.
Sadly the only time we went on Disney in 2010 the food was so bad we never returned . Not willing to take the risk again
For the price of a normal cruise on DCL you could cruise in the Yacht Club on MSC and have your own private restaurant that’s every bit as good as the ones you pay for on other lines, all the drinks you want, a butler, a pool that’s limited to just the club, a private lounge, and more! For breakfast, I would choose crapes with fresh berries and whip cream. Love it!
Sounds great!
Crepes.
I like this shirt too!
Another groovy, funny and quite informative video. Love the food menus. What is the free house coffee brand on this ship?
Super review and loved all the information! I solo cruise, but after watching this, I would consider going on a Disney cruise!
As someone who misses out a ton on menus for dietary restrictions, this menu is amazing
We love cruising Disney especially the smaller ships.
Yay I found a new YT couple to follow!! 5 minutes in I was hooked :) Cant wait to catch up on your channel.

I have always wanted to go on a disney cruise. It looks like it would be the best time! Just going to ask.. What cruise are you
going to go on next?
Aww such a wonderful video if me my daughter and her best friend were on a Disney cruise we would go on Disney wish first then go on Disney Fantasy or Disney Magic this will be my daughters first cruise the food sounds good for breakfast lunch dinner and $25 for a glass of wine not bad
For my allergies, Disney is always the best cruise line! Worth every penny.
Hi guys..for breakfast I would like a italian crepe with sour cream and a salad.
I have celiac disease so I very much appreciate you mentioning the gluten free items. That’s one of the reasons I chose Disney cruise line

Same to you
Steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy!! That’s my breakfast order.
We loved the mickey mouse churros when we went on the Disney magic in Oct 2022. So good.

Absolutely love your videos! You guys really prepared my husband and I for our first cruise on the Disney Magic back in October. And now we're HOOKED just booked another cruise on Carnival for next year. 💜
I’d have eggs royale but maybe share some fruit and French toast. Yummy.
If you’re looking for that quintessential-hardcore-American-dream-smalltown-USA cuisine, this cruise offers its truest form
Oh my this is my kind of video..
Food,food,food…with desserts galore…👍🇬🇧
Ben needs to be a dad, because he already has the jokes.
😂😂
🤣😂😅
❤😂😂😂😂
Not sure you understand how reproduction works......
@@Cruisewithfor disney cruise did you have to pay for breakfast lunch dinner
My favorite breakfast? Hands down it's the Full English. Never been to England, Amsterdam is the closest I've gotten. But my whole life I have been head over heels for English food. Turned 50 and took a DNA test; that explained everything!
Happy Easter Ben and David!
Happy Easter
It's definitely the breakfast mickey waffles for me 😋
So good!
Really enjoyed this vlog mada a bad day a little better.thanks can't wait for more of the laughing I do 🤣love from the UK.
I did the Disney Wish in May and it was wonderful. I even liked Marvel even though I am not a hero movie fan. Although the pizza was horrible.
Not sure which one is which. But the guy with the Disney shirt on would be a great tv presenter. Seems so natural. Js.
