@@CWLemoine Does the ATP in helos automatically include instrument like it does in fixed-wing? Unlike light, fixed-wing airplanes, I believe that certifying a helo for IFR is a bigger deal. Can you do an ATP helo in a Robbie? My guess is that you're looking at a turbine for the ATP.....right?
@@CWLemoine Sure there are turbine and/or multi engine turbine in helicopters, but not on these ones ... Anyway, as a former H/C pilot in the military I think it should be OK, you know what to do, don't stress and it's gonna be all right. Good luck

Really have enjoyed watching this journey you’ve undertaken. You’ve gone through F-16, F-18 and T-38 training successfully so you’ll rise to the occasion with the helo check. I remember my ATP training with the bobbles then my checkride mostly in one engine and on instruments where I bracketed everything.

Great job! Auto rotate has got to be the scariest thing as a helo pilot especially if you've just one turbine. Fixed wing you have more altitude & energy to work with although finding the nearest airstrip that can accommodate you is the challenge there. Also what the hell happened to that aircraft with the bent wing @30:40 and did they lost there job over what looks to be a ground incident. Note: I'm don't know what type of aircraft it's & could have folding wings for all I know.

Lemoine - I _think_ the auto-rotations, _'should'_ be the biggest worry, _for 'anyone'._ If you can avoid "performance-anxiety" and, let your 'programming' (training) do the work; I don't think you'll have a bit of trouble, on the check ride - the "second-guessing", is what typically gets us, when we're performing; yet, probably necessary when we're learning... that's _'my'_ "two-bits". You got this! Take care! Good -luck- skill!

Quick question, where did you get this flight training? What was the name of the school if you don't mind me asking. I'm very interested in contacting them about training.
I dream of the day I do my checkride. My training came to a halt when both my instructors left for much better paying jobs and the R22 I fly in is grounded for a rebuild that hasn't commenced in a month now. I had finished my pre-solo written and was getting ready to start soloing when it all happened. Robinson parts sitting in the hangar collecting dust waiting. Damn shame!
CW i don't think you are going to have a problem passing the check ride, although it probably has already happened just not posted. I appreciate the healthy sense of self doubt, but perhaps you question yourself abit to much. I guess a good balance of self confidence and realistic self analysis is a good approach. That's why fighter pilots are a different breed they need that extreme confidence to want to be the best and fly at mach 2 but balanced with the humility and awareness that at anytime things could go south in a hurry. Interested to see where the helicopter vlogs are going from here once you get your license??

Not quite. There is no turbine or multi engine turbine in helicopters. Next up is straight to ATP(H) which Lester can't do.
