As in where I bought them from? Rear wheels/ tires are from go power sports website. 8” wheels with 18” cleat tires. Had all the wheels powder coated

I'm looking to do a very similar build. You said Stage 1 Predator 212, do you still have the governor in it or no?

I do because I didnt want to risk it going full throttle and blowing up while my nephews were driving it. I was able to get about 35mph top speed if I remember correctly. With a torque converter

@@uncledingovlogs Ah ok. 35 is not bad for a governed Predator. I have a Manco Dingo with the same engine - Stage 1 and governed and I get around the same speed.
I ask because like I said, I'm looking to do a mini-buggy like yours but with a fully built Honda clone, be it Predator, Tillotson, or some sort of kart racing crate engine w/ a Juggernaut torque converter. Aiming for similar performance to a Blaster/300ex, or one of the old Odyssey FL250s. Just trying to get an idea what these Predators are capable of on a larger frame like yours.

Ahh I see. Hit up red beards garage TH-cam channel. He’s put these engines on a wide range of karts, stock to fully built. I can’t say I recommend them though, if you’re wanting that kind of performance out of your kart you should just pick up a dirt bike or quad engine. Especially for the money you’re going to be into a full build like you’re talking about. Should be pretty close to the cost of a used quad engine and the performance will blow any kart engine out of the water. Gear box is way better than any torque converter

@@uncledingovlogs Normally I'd agree that going with a dirt bike/quad engine would be better but due to the way I'm going to be mounting my engine (on an articulating swing-arm), setting up shift linkages would be very challenging if not impossible. Next best bet is a snowmobile engine, but I've never worked with them before - only kart engines. Plus I'm looking at a Tillotson 225 crate engine, which is putting out around 17-20 horsepower and 17ft-lbs of torque; about on par with a stock Blaster (with more torque!). The buggy will be as light as possible, so it's not like I'm going to be lugging around a 600 pound frame.
Big fan of Red Beard's Garage btw, very helpful videos!
