I rode with my dad and his army buddies for a few years and every mirror they did smash was justified. But they never sped off afterwards they were more than willing to stay around and educate the driver as to why it happened, sometimes a fight would break out but mostly the issue was settled with the driver of the car or truck apologizing and life would go on. But again no one ever sped off afterwards.
