I really like the way they're writing the plot this time, there's an interconnectedness that feels like a detective, conspiracy movie. The vision case from chapter 1 coming back again and again, an ethereal that involves so many people, recurring characters that interplay with newer additions, etc. Reminds me of reading jojo part 8's investigation plot, feels great to unravel the mystery layer by layer.
I have a theory that belle and wise have cybernetic implant meants in them allowing them to use the hollow deep dive system to sync up with eous which would explain why their eyes glow in one of the cut scenes at the start of the game
Since we still don’t know their past, I wonder if Eous was their parent’s Bangboo? Bangboos were created by one of the seven stars, and either existed after the hollow was created, or before. (I’m willing to say after, since that’s when they become relevant.) Phaethon was either their parent’s original name, or made due to them, with the entities that put out fairy, and the other keys into the world calling bell and wise, which was phaethon’s kin, “the sun’s chariot Fallen.” Which currently we have no clue what that means. From the Victoria housekeeping arc, we learn that Eous wasn’t theirs originally, and joined Belle and wise for their own agendas. And from the flashbacks we see in chapter 1. Belle and wise was there when the hollow expanded over the old capital. We currently have not enough info, but my two cents tells me is that Bell and wise was related to the original Phaethon, one which made enemies and ties to the original story narrator, and possibly one of the several stars (imma be honest, I don’t remember the groups name fully, so imma call them this since their is like 5-7 of them, and they basically helped found new eridu :/) and in-turn, the people who put the Keys out into the public. For some reason or other, the original Phaethon went missing around the hollow disaster, and Belle and wise take over the name, which would also explain why they have such a big influential name, but Belle and wise don’t seem to be able to do a lot of the rumors say, and or leave everything to Fairy. To add on, Eous, either through parental ties, or something else, joins our Phaethon, to either track down their parent’s disappearance, or in some way figure out something else. That’s what I think is Wise and belle’s convictions are currently, and it’s possible that they were implanted cybernetics to connected to Eous, being that both are able to connect off of the quest where Wise or Belle takes over Eous to save the other sibling, so it’s possible, but the Monument ethereal was able to effect the connection, which could be due to being tech, but I don’t think So, since Geroy, the original prototype, the ethereal couldn’t control that, only stop it, and he had to merge with the other machines to use them. So I think Eous has something similar to the keys, being that they have abilities that other tech don’t that’s also related to the hollows, it would also explain why Mc is both very unwilling to let grace deconstruct Eous (besides her being a maniac.) and why the MCs know so much about Bangboos. This could explain how they’ve been able to merge consciousness, since if it was just normal tech, anyone would’ve been able to, but since Bangboos have a conscious, and from the Night quest line, merging bangboo conscious is possible, but highly illegal, and dangerous, so this is probably something different. But we still don’t have enough evidence or info to confirm or deny any of this, so this is all theoretical, and tbh, we’re going to have to wait till chapter 2 before we get more info, especially since we need more info on the places outside of new eridu, since that’s where a lot of the 7 stars stay. But only time will tell.
@heilamwether8911 actually the scene of the hollow expanding was at scott outpost meaning its probably a flash forward, and im pretty sure the bangboos were specifcally made for reading carrots so they probably were made after the hollows
While not mentioned in this video, it is mentioned around the end of the Ch.3 story that Mr. Perlman escaped with the Airship to the Outer Ring, a location outside of New Eridu. This place is often home to lots of various smugglers and gangs, and it is through these groups that one can even have any connections to the Outer Ring. Phaethon currently lacks any such connects, so going forward I have a feeling they will make such a connection. My current theory is that their connection is going to be the Sons of Calydon faction, as we currently have two members of that faction as playable characters in-game: Lucy & Piper
If I recall, I did mention perlman escaped using the airship into the outer ring though admittedly I didnt expand on that given I was worried the video got too long. But good context provided here and youre likely right with how we might end up meeting Lucy & piper and the gang theyre in if we ever end up going to the outer ring 😁
Given how we recently got Drip Marketing for V1.2 with Caesar King & Burnice White from the Sons of Calydon, this seems confirmed. Even saw in one of the quotes from Caesar's Drip Marketing that Billy calls her "Big Sis," so Billy might be our initial link in connecting to the Sons of Calydon, and the Outer Ring by extension
excellent video, I skipped the whole story, because I just wanted to farm to get Ellen, now I can follow 1.1, thank you very much! Keep up the beautiful videos, hugs from Brazil!
So this secret organization from sara has an underlying motive in constructing the new metro system, and then also hired gang members to use emps to steal the sacrifice in the evidence truck, and then also possibly take out pearlman, and is also possibly related to why khors went away in the first place. This is really intriguing and im glad zzz has such an interconnected story with massive implications. Cant wait to see more story content
I love the questioning of Nicole's credentials to practice law. I found that weird too. "Maybe in a post-apocalyptic world, it doesn't matter." No further questions, Your Honour. :P
I m excited to meet more factions, especially the factions mentioned in the lore teaser PV. The Exaltist (cult) 赞颂会 - potentially an enemy faction that we have to face and maybe this is the true identity of the shadow organization that wanted to cover up the monster. They might be a group that seeks to use Ethereal DNA to evolve humans, or at least worship an aspect of the hollow in some way. The Scions or The Cylons 塞昂人- Either the name of an ethnicity or a humanoid race (maybe even sentient robots), we know almost nothing about them except from the keyword. The City Founding Family - We actually have a movie in our store that's about the city founding family. I m sure they will come into play soon too. Guard of Staves 节杖军 (Chinese is the "The Army of Staves") Falkenhayn Mercenary Troupe 法金汉佣兵团
Agreed, but also I honestly feel the best thing about ZZZ is the factions. I can’t wait both to meet more but also see more members get added to pre-existing ones and see how they interact with each other since I love the interconnection between them.
Im particularly interested in what the backstory for the hollows, void hunters and AI (fairy, jinn, etc) are, by the end of the current story quite a few cliffhangers that hopefully pay off in the future
This is a good sum-up of the story. I'll admit I've skipped quite a bit this playthrough, but only because I was involved in the last round of beta testing and had seen it not all that long ago. That said, I have noticed some differences/tweaks in the parts I haven't skipped, so the refresher is welcome.
I had to leave quite a bit out of this, theres a lot of nuance in relation to the individual character development that I just couldnt include. Personally the story felt a bit like a slow burn but plenty of cliffhangers leaving me wanting to see more
At around 20:00, thank for explaining that connection of the same shady corp that ties together Perlman, Vision, the monster and the Sacrifice. I didn't catch that on my play through because it was so poorly told. You were far more charitable about calling it "cliffhangers". I think that's fair, but nicer than I would have been. It really upset me that chapter gave no answers to anything - it was basically filler. I liked Victoria Housekeeping, but felt like Chapter 3 went nowhere. Everyone keeps saying "monster", "monument", and "sacrifice" like it's so obvious what it is but never tells the player. I'm not in the mood to wait until 1.3 or beyond to find out. It's poor story-telling, and compared to Hoyo's other projects: Genshin and HSR, which actually tell a full story (even if it's bad or boring) that has a beginning, middle and end. ZZZ's 1.0 story has a beginning and the rest is "middle". There is no end, it's just "and then life kind of went back to normal" or "and the siblings kept being proxies". It felt like we got robbed of any meaningful conclusion.
You do realize that this is literally the prologue The first three chapters are technically one long prologue To set up the world build up the characters that we are going to be following and start future plot points And plant the seeds for future things. It's not meant to be super epic from the beginning Unless all you're doing is trolling right now
@@dwightgreene1361 to add to this..the entire aesthetic and direction of the game is different from hoyo's previous titles. It's an urban fantasy with a less epic story. I suspect Daddy hoyo will hoyo all over the place and the story will significantly ramp up at some time; just like hi3 which started pretty slowly and was mostly fanservice-y But evolved into something traumatizin- I mean greater. You'll know when it happens when characters start saying stuff like "why do hollows slumber" and "if being your proxy is a sin,I'll gladly become a sinner" 💀

Im working on a theory video that links the AI, the phaethon siblings past and the hollow deep dive system along with their parents 😁

Glad its helpful 😁
been waitng this, oh and dont forget, " grace, mommy of belobog industry"🤣🤣🤣
Have you played her companion quest? That scene where she takes off her boot is clearly fan service 😂

Thx for the summary! The story is worse than i thought, glad i skipped it.
You people want just action and action
lol, you skipped everything and just watched the summary video. Of course you're gonna say that.
I expected Hoyoverse to tell a good story, but this turned out to be quite boring.
