As a former over the road trucker in the US, this was really interesting. Going to fnd more of these videos.
Sorry to intervene, but a "tractor" in Australia, is something a farmer use! The truck, pulling the trailers, is called "Prime Mover".
Just want things to be right.
Interesting , Thank You .
Mega liners at 6:17. Australia calls these B-doubles and we have had these for 20 years maybe longer. Now we have A-Doubles which are just one trailer short of a road train.
Thanks once again Gear Tech HD for another very interesting video about very unique designed and innovative equipment!
Interesting. Thanks.
3:57 I want to build a truck similar to this but drive it on the road as a daily driver, not to pull a trailer. Make it a four-door extend the frame between the steer axle and the drivers for more space. I think it looks really cool
WABCO is the company that has been producing the majority of anti-lock braking systems for heavy duty trucks for over 3 decades.
there's an issue with the E trailer : it's heavier so you can't load your trailer as much as without this technology so this trailer is counter-productive
Yeah, but it’s green so….😂
@@markaspen I thought that was impossible to source 😂
E-trailer needs solar panels on the roof.
Also, note there’s 1 kw/hr per 5-7 kg. 100 kw/hr could weigh as little as 500 kg.
The trailer hauls 5% less or so. It pays that back in fuel savings.
It is heavier than a regular trailer but it is far less than you're making it out to be. It seems like it is a fantastic idea, it will let a single driver pull twice as much and the weight difference is far less than a 2nd truck being that it's just the basic powertrain that is added without the cost of another truck...
Not really a problem for many operators who don't use the full capacity in normal operations. To be specific, the UK Mail carriers rarely run at 44 tonnes, indeed many of their motive units are down rated to save tax, they could have eTrailers and still not have to up grade.
I wonder if the "eTrailer" company is aware they may have a trademark infringement pending?
The Bis dual engine trailer seems like it's just borrowing technology from the railroad by having a remote engine unit.
I want the steering car❤❤❤
The issue with the e trailer is that it’s more expensive to purchase and maintain
I want one now
合体を思わせる、素晴らしいオプションww
Wrong name on container trailers . its not Megaliner its Combitrailer commonly known as millipede :) Megaliner are low-floor semi-trailers, commonly known as Low Deck
very freaking cool
I would love to buy a flat mack truck
With the uni trailer, since the track trailer has nothing to hold the wagon trailer in place, you are prematurely wearing the brakes on the wagon trailer.
How many trailers is enough? Thanks for sharing.
So you've made a trailer for your trailer, to take said trailer through "adverse conditions"? It has potential, but only under specific circumstances that probably won't happen very often.
Rowe Motors needs to be made into a Hot Wheel's car
With just a little modification it would work great at a large airport to tow huge airliners around the terminal!!!.
@@lurch789 guess it would take more than a LITTLE modification huh! Since a 747 weighs over a hundred thousand# MT. ( didn't know that aircraft tugs had solid tires!!).
1:40 wait its only using its brakes? any amount of mud on those tires and that trailer is sliding right off.
Looks like it came from an underground mine to me
All they have to do for the E trailer is add solar panel's to the roof.
Fun fact: This truck without any trailer might fit in any tunnel or road that only fit for cars
Looks like the american answer to the cap-under *"Steinwinter 2040"* which was planed to further shorten the cap-over trailer in Germany and Europe.
3:55
I mean New Zealand's answer to “Steinwinter 2040“.
I think that's for working in airports
Boeing had several like it to move Large Aircraft Components.
Using metric measurements means nothing to me. I learned metric system in school back in the 70s and haven't used it since. You don't use it, you lose it.
See how low you can go!
How much less weight can the etrailer haul because of the heavy Batteries & Motor ?
Porque a mulher dele e ciumenta!
Get rid of the stupid music! It doesnt make our viewing experience any better than if having got to hear the actual sounds during part of each clip
TRUCKS FROM OHIO
Bollocks
My question that min westerstar cab is it reinforce with steel what if one of those heavy steel fall on the cab with the operator
