This lady is the 'real deal'. I put her with the best voices EVER to record music... Kate Bush; Billy Mckenzie; Lisa Gerrard and Jeff Buckley. Gone are the days of music genius...we now have crappy tv shows that give us 'one hit wonders', just to make millions for high-trousered music moguls. Liz, I love your voice and respect your wishes to be out of the limelight. You inspired my youth as well as my desire for great music. Perfection.
just beautiful and amazing again liz please keep singing ,ive been a huge fan ever since the john peel sessions, the world is a lesser place without your beautiful voice
she knows...she loves as we do...she will always amaze and fill with wonder all who listen...her gift is her legacy...her legacy is our treasure...love it always...
such a wonderful peaceful relaxing song. first i've heard it too. fantastic work on a perfect video for capturing the mood of the song. Thanks my friend
webster tried to make everything funetic, but only some of it took... he spelled beauty as BOOTY, but no... thankfully phish became fish, phantasy became fantasy, but phantom remained unchanged... he wanted to shorten them all but the public refused to change some words... odd lot, the english speakers, lol..
Don't forget that she will be playing live in London and Bath this year (all tickets sold out apparently) . . . it seems as though, after many years away, she is coming back.
Lyrics: Waters cover me, wrap me where I sleep, wash between us, where you're dreaming, where you wake tomorrow. That's all I could glean just by listening. Apart from the a few of the next lines the rest is unintelligable.
Slightly different version of this used in the opening credits of Neil Jordan's film In Dreams. Very underrated film, occasionally silly but always mesmerizing.
I agree. And I’ve searched the Internet for the opening sequence version which is absolutely haunting but elusive. No luck other than a little snippet on TH-cam
Hello mon ami Shum... You know, when I heard this song, Shivers are running right down my spin...(I don't know if it's the right words!!!) Everytime I hear Liz's voice, I feel a huge emotion... She's amazing. Thank you for your nice comments! See you! xxxx
The movie In Dreams is spectacularly uneven, but this piece is perfect for the amazing opening credit sequence. The whole film is suffused with a nearly unique sense of dread and sorrow.
I love these liz rarities, they are heavenly, when is she gonna get that solo record out. Stop torturing us liz, everyone knows that you were the band back in the ct days, sure robin guthrie defined the dreamy sound, but you made the band, without you it would just be some other band. GREATEST VOCALIST OF ALL TIME. HAIL THIS ANGEL OR DIE!!!
Liz was / is brilliant, I agree Me tho' I loved Robbo'z spangly guitar stuff best Simon was cool, too And never forget Will and his spooky bass Liz certainly soundz a lot more *pure*, here - none of the strange vocal tics from dayz of yore, yet still other-worldly
The instrumental version of this at the beginning of the film "In Dreams" is not on the soundtrack music cd. Would love to find it. Love this version too.

Yes. I'm trying to get these lyrics myself.
"Heaven is the sea, where the sky should be"?
Something I cannot make out.
"Open your heart, let me inside there" ?
