@@PerJohansson-Xeizo True but he's not playing Fripp stuff. He's playing Belew stuff. It's his song and original parts. Vai is playing the Fripp parts.
Awesome. I have to say, that the studio version's guitar solo is one of my all time favorite solos...it's so unique. It would be cool to see someone replicate it live.
Yeah, I do feel that some kind of wild noise from Adrian would be welcome here. I was at the July 1984 show immortalized in the Absent Lovers recording. The solo was very different from the studio version but still great and thrilling to hear live.
I was also waiting to hear that solo, but it's Very difficult to replclate, it was done using a pitch shifting pedal, being press up and down randomly by hand. They where never able to do it the same way.
They leave out the original bridge solo section but it still sounds great. Vai is a bit low in the mix but its great. Drums are so spectacular. So crisp poignant and passionate. They are really growing as a band. So so wonderful. I love beat!
yo vi esa grupo en paris 1995,,,jamss he oido nada igual...el sonido de la guitarra dse belew tocand dinosour,,,y fripp fuera de las luces a oscuras....
The first minute or 2 was a bit weak. I'm still not convinced by Vai playing Fripp. My choice would have been Ron Jarzombek. He's the closest to Fripp in ters of technique and sheer machine accuracy, and he doesn't dress like a ghey Zorro.
Let me just remind everyone that Tony is 78. Holy shit.
Yeah, Adrian is much younger at 74, and he sings and plays Fripp-stuff at the same time

@@zachleary108 Not always if you look at the other leaked performances Adrian does indeed play some of the Fripp stuff
He's a Superman.
yep, theyre even singing the songs in their original key

That's two of us, word by word :)

Make that three of us.
there's also a haunting live version of it from one of the double trio shows in Japan where Trey Gunn augments it perfectly
5 more days.... so looking forward to the show in Houston

Are people sitting down? I will be standing at the Orlando show.
Come on down on front!!!
More Vai in the mix, please.
Why? He's playing his part. You realize this is a smartphone recording?
I was there. He was too low in the mix in my opinion. That said, I was stage left, away from him.
Happy! I could not find sleep....Now it's done.😪😪😪
Too bad they´re not doing the solo on this live version!
It's hard for them to even play these songs
I miss Adrian's bizarre feedback solo @ 2:41. Still - sooooooo good...

Robert Fripp is still here again ??? 😅
No, he declined to take part but gave his blessing to Adrian to do this for the 40th anniversary of the Discipline record in 2 years.
The 40th anniversary of the Discipline album was in Oct 2021. Belew wanted to do something then, but COVID got in the way.
@@Emlizardo Yes, this!
Who are the turkeys that just can’t sit still when the band is playing?
They must have spotted the Good Fairy in the seats
So far in this tour, it's a common problem.
Is this museum music or not
No one takes a solo? WTF??
Right!!!
They should get a female guest vocalist for those harmonies.
get Toyah in 😂
KD Lang!
