Was there with my 10 year old son who has gotten seriously into KC since he started playing bass and guitars a couple of years ago. What a show it was, he was riveted by the sheer brilliance of these musical geniuses. Belew is such an underrated artist imo. Incredible performance considering these guys are not getting any younger. Forever memories!
Living vicariously through the internets. Thank you for all the trouble of getting there, recording and uploading the show for us to enjoy!!! Great tour I unfortunately missed.
Saw them in Dallas on 9/22! Epic! I've been around since the inception of Crim, and these guys nailed it! Danny Carey was superb on the Bruford parts, and Steve Vai killed the Fripp parts. Belew and Levin old vets with this music! It doesn't get much better than this!
Wow 😳. This is a great recording of the show!! Thank You for letting me in on it. I wanted to see it at the Kodak Theater in Rochester NY but I waited/ hesitated and boom the tickets were gone. Also they were very pricey. I'm 65 now and I am still enjoying this show!! BEAT TOUR RULES !! 😎🏆👍🔥❤️
you're most likely to enjoy this music if you're 65 (I am 65 as well). I grew up to this music, I saw the original quartet in 1982... It's so good they keep this music alive
@@carldrexler1279 It was an incredible sight to see live. He was using two handed tapping when Fripp clearly used one hand, but as a fan of Crimson for 25 years now, I thought technically Vai nailed it. He couldn't have performed better.
I saw them the next night in Hampton NH. Adrian thanked the crowd for "making this possible" but of course we thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts. I never thought I'd hear any of this live again. You have more fans than you will ever know.
Took my son last night to Humphries by the Bay in San Diego, for his rock history lesson, and man did he soak it up! These guys make childs play out of the most complex songs, and it's spine tingling at times. Belew and Vai would be playing twin harmonizing leads, and then they're off on polar opposite complicated solos that somehow work, and all the while, Tony Levin is handling bass and what are essentially jazz piano chords simultaneously, holding the whole thing together on the Chapman, mind blowing. Danny Carey was solid, you can tell he repspects and appreciates what Fripp and Bruford created, they all do. Carey had a lot of fan support there too. Adrian was in fine voice. And Vai, it's like some of these songs were written for him.
They played pretty much the same set when I got to see them in Portland on 11-22--24. I'm thankful to the uploader of this video as it's been helpful in helping me recover from the mind blowing I took that night.
Me too. I was so overwhelmed I had to take a break. Thank goodness for the intermission. Since the show I've been listening to these recordings non-stop!
Someone get Steve Vai a stool, he’s too animated for Frippin’ 🤣 What a fantastic show, I can’t believe how well they pulled this off. Greetings from Romania ❤️🇷🇴
This is awesome... Two members of King Crimson playing with a member of Frank Zappa... Belew and Vai... It's amazing to see the cross over and shared experience.
I’ve seen Adrian more than any other artist in my 5+ decades (no joke). And in this time, including all the Bears shows, I’ve NEVER seen him HAPPIER on stage than with THESE guys on THIS tour!! I was lucky enough to sit three rows away from Stevie in Thousand Oaks, and for some reason, he was channeling GOD that night (as anyone there will attest)! I’ve seen all the other shows, and something way different was running through him that night. I dated my wife when I was 16 and we’d made out to Sheltering Sky (lol). She *remembered* so many songs just from the little time we’d dated as teenagers-she said it was the best performance she’d ever seen and now she’s got Steve Vai as her #1 favorite performing guitar player. 😂 🤷♂️ This was MY favorite show ever, including the “double trio” at the Wiltern … by FAR!
I caught the Seattle show two nights ago - excellent! I had strong willpower and had avoided all vids of the tour until I saw it, now catching up. Fun to see the evolution over the two months of touring so far. These guys are giants and so fun. Your recording is great, thanks!
20:24 That intro to sleepless is just perfect, look at dan in the back just enjoying it lmao it's insane Tony is 78 and he plays it somehow better then ever before.
I saw them in Montreal one week later. Incredible! I never ever thought that I would see & hear this music played live once again, 40 years after the original band's final tour
I like the way the whole group minus Danny stares at him during the Indiscipline solo. It's what he's going to do now, I want to see it. The second half show is a mastery of their skills. It's high art in the end. This music, along with others, should be analyzed in music theory and composition classes as part of a wide curriculum.
I saw them perform at The Egg in Albany, N.Y. and it was amazing. Each of these amazing musicians were in the moment and on top of their game. Absolutely loved it!
Spot on Mr. Richard!!!👊🏾👍🏾🙌🏾...I was also at this show at The Egg. Just can't say enuff about it... AWESOME show!!! I will be seeing them again here Hartford on 12/3/2024
Was at the Minneapolis show and it was fantastic. Love seeing it again here! Enjoyed Vai's & Carey's interpretations and Belew's characteristic silliness. Cannot believe Tony Levin is approaching 80 - then again, I'm basically same age as Carey - not sure when that happened either.
Robert Fripp…..John McLaughlin……Allan Holdsworth…..Adrian Belew…..Django Reinhardt…..the list is almost endless….should I go on….Steve Howe….Steve Hillage….Reeves Gabrels…..Paco DeLucia….Steve Morse…..Frank Zappa….Dweezil Zappa…..Eddie Van Halen……………….

Anyone who witnessed Belew's intros to Station To Station, as i was blessed to, on the brilliant 78 Bowie Heroes/Isolar World Tour, our lives were influenced right there. There's several of those intros out there that still amaze me as they are all so groundbreaking. All those guitarists are superb, so many i could add, and if i could add only one, id offer Gary Moore. For anyone who hasn't seen it, his set at the 2003 Monsters Of Rock was stunning, his rendition of Wishing Well i truly love. This show was insane. I go to a lot of shows and I didn't even think I liked King Crimson, but I was blown away by the musicianship and the connection they had with the crowd. You can't really tell from the video, but there was a standing ovation after pretty much every song in the second set. Thanks for posting!!
Been trying to talk my dad into going to see them considering he saw crimson on the original discipline tour. He can’t get over Vai being the choice to play fripp’s parts 😂. They absolutely kill it tho.
What a great show. My cousin got us VIP tickets too so we were pretty close and got to meet the guys. That was an awesome night ! After we met the band, we were standing out front. A guy approaches us and asks if by any chance we have an extra ticket because he was a fan from way back when the original band used to tour and he missed this particular tour back in the day. Unfortunately, we didn’t. The second person to walk out of the theater after meeting the band was asked the same question, and sure as shit. The guy actually had an extra ticket. I couldn’t believe it. That fan got lucky and he ended up 1st or 2nd row. I don’t even think the ticket holder charged him for the extra ticket he gave up.
That's magic. He showed up and the rest is History! Thank you for sharing this story. We need this kind of energy. These artists have changed my life. I had a chance to meet Adrian and spend some talking with him and he's a real gift of a human being. Incredible times we're living in despite the obvious. Pendulum Distinction at work. Let us focus on the magic.

Great show, great recording. The best audio of any one I've seen so far. Just an incredibly talented band. In the middle of Indiscipline (about 49:20), did Levin launch into the next section by accident?
